Labyrinths, as Kuber had read in books, were structures that appeared randomly without warning. Inside, they hatched hordes of monsters. Due to the unique environment, when defeated, these monsters' magic condensed into highly valuable Magic Crystals. This drew eager adventurers in droves.
But high rewards meant high risks. Adventurers who died inside had their magic absorbed by the Labyrinth. This nurtured the BOSS in its core chamber. As more perished, the BOSS would fully form. Eventually, it could become a being like a "Demon King."
Left unchecked, the Labyrinth would spawn a monster army capable of destroying cities over time. The only solution was to quickly organize a team. Kill the core chamber BOSS. Once dead, the threat level plummeted. Gradually, no new monsters would spawn.
The Adventurers' Guild rated Labyrinths by magic density. Four grades existed: C, B, A, and S-rank—the highest difficulty. Higher ranks meant stronger monsters. Less magic was needed for the BOSS to fully form.
Kuber looked up at the Labyrinth tower. It stood about a hundred meters tall. It resembled the Leaning Tower of Pisa from his past life, but far more ornate. The entrance was pitch black, much like his Teleportation Portal. Nothing beyond was visible.
"A Luo, come here. Let's check inside," Kuber called.
He waved. Little A Luo stopped crying instantly. She ran over and clambered up his body, hands and feet scrambling. She perched on his shoulders, hugging his head tightly.
Once she settled, Kuber stepped into the tower. The forest vanished. Stone corridors replaced it. Cracks and weeds covered ancient walls.
"Hey~ Anyone there?" Kuber shouted.
Silence answered. The corridor stayed eerily quiet. He walked on, reaching the first fork soon.
After a moment's thought, Kuber turned right. Maze navigation had a trick: stick to one side. You'd clear every corner like a street sweeper.
Not far ahead, rustling echoed. It sounded like insects crawling. Kuber and A Luo hid at the corner, peering in quietly.
Six black spiders paced nearby. Each was pug-sized. Razor-sharp legs bristled with white hairs. Their backs bore weeping human-face patterns.
Little A Luo clamped a hand over her mouth. Terror flooded her face.
Kuber felt creeped out by those hairy legs. He used Appraisal on the spiders.

Impressive. These matched the bandit leader he'd defeated. And there were six.
Kuber channeled his magic inwardly. A Fireball spell incinerated them all to ashes. Only six peanut-sized black Magic Crystals lay quietly on the ground.
