Chapter 6: The Peerless Quest Is in Hand

Beginner Fireball costs 20 MP per cast, while each point of Intelligence only increases his mana by 8.

In other words, he can only cast Beginner Fireball nine times right now.

And it takes four fireballs to kill a forest wolf, which means he can only take down two at a time.

“My spell attack is only 31 right now. If I can raise it further, I should be able to cut down the time even more,” Mo Bai said calmly.

He was still Level 0. If he could reach Level 5, he’d have 25 attribute points.

That meant 50 spell attack and 225 mana.

Added to his original 180 mana and 31 spell attack,

he’d have 81 spell attack and 405 mana.

With Fireball’s +20 damage, he could deal 101 damage.

A forest wolf with only 200 HP couldn’t withstand two of his attacks.

“Ding! Player Bai Mo has defeated a monster above his level and received bonus EXP for doing so!”

“Ding! Congratulations, player Bai Mo, you’ve leveled up!” After killing a forest wolf, Mo Bai went straight to Level 1.

Mo Bai put all five of his new attribute points into Intelligence.

He needed to finish the forest wolf quest as soon as possible.

“Ten spawn at a time? Looks like once I finish this wave, I can turn in the quest to the village chief.” Mo Bai said.

Red fireballs streaked across the sky. By the time Mo Bai reached Level 4, all ten forest wolves had been wiped out.

Mo Bai climbed down from the cave and picked up the materials and equipment dropped by the forest wolves.

Forest Wolf Pelt (10): A forest wolf’s pelt. Its strong flexibility makes it a good material for practicing tailoring.

Plain Longsword: Physical Attack +2

Plain Staff: Spell Attack +2

Plain Robe: Defense +2

“I can use two of these pieces, but their stats are too poor.” Mo Bai looked at the gear in his hands and shook his head.

Super God Domain had a very low drop rate. Only bosses and dungeons offered generous drops; ordinary monsters had no chance of dropping anything valuable.

Equipment in Super God Domain came in white, green, blue, purple, gold, and red grades.

Red-grade equipment was already in the realm of divine artifacts.

He dreamed of owning a divine artifact.

“I wonder if this quest will reward me with a weapon exclusive to my class.” Mo Bai said eagerly.

The reward for a Divine Tier class shouldn’t be bad, right?

At the very least, it should be a gold-grade weapon, right?

“If I can get my hands on a gold-grade weapon early on, its equipment advantage will let me pull far ahead of those hardcore players.”

“Forget it. No point thinking about that now. Finishing the quest comes first.” Mo Bai stepped into the beginner village.

The players were still lined up in front of the various beginner NPCs, waiting to accept quests.

The area in front of the village chief, meanwhile, was deserted.

The village chief only offered quests to players who were Level 5 or higher.

Once players hit a wall, they wouldn’t try again.

“This is convenient.” Mo Bai smiled and approached the village chief.

“Chief, I want to help the beginner village eliminate its threats. I hope you can give me a quest.” Mo Bai adopted a respectful attitude.

“Brave warrior, you’re not strong enough to help us deal with our troubles. Come back when you’ve grown stronger.” The village chief waved him away.

The village chief had turned him down, but Mo Bai didn’t panic. He took ten forest wolf pelts from his bag and handed them to the village chief.

“Chief, I’ve already killed ten forest wolves. Doesn’t that prove I’m strong enough?”

“Forest wolf pelts!” The village chief stared at the pelts in his hands, his expression uncertain.

“It seems you really do have what it takes to kill forest wolves. Then I’ll entrust this quest to you.” The village chief accepted the pelts.

System: Accept the village chief’s quest: Eliminate the forest wolf leader and his minions (Unique).

“Yes!” Mo Bai exclaimed, overjoyed.

He’d been waiting for this quest for ages.

System: You have accepted the village chief’s quest. Please complete it as soon as possible.

“I won’t let you down, Chief.” Mo Bai looked at the quest in his quest log, struggling to contain his excitement as he spoke.

“Warrior, I believe you’ll succeed!” The village chief nodded.

After their conversation, Mo Bai found a quiet corner, looked up at his quest log, and laughed aloud.

He’d finally gotten this quest.

Village Chief’s Quest (Unique): Your strength has caught the village chief’s attention. He has entrusted you with eliminating the forest wolf leader and his minions, who have troubled the village for a long time.

Forest Wolves (10/100), Forest Wolf Leader (0/1)

You will receive a generous reward upon completing the quest.

Note: This is a unique quest. It cannot be abandoned or obtained again.
