"Um, could you tell me what I did wrong?" Kuber asked timidly, looking at the fierce-looking girl.

"What did you do wrong? You despicable scumbag! How dare you even ask?"

Hearing his words, Lena was so furious her chest ached. How could this trash who trafficked other races as slaves say such things? Did he not respect her as captain of Ferrol City's Silver Knights? Maybe he didn't know who she was. Lena took a deep breath to calm herself.

"Listen up, you scumbag! I'm Lena Harvis, captain of Ferrol City's Silver Knights. Don't play dumb on death's door. Put down that child, draw your weapon, and duel me—that's your only escape!"

Such arrogance! Kuber recalled the last person who spoke to him like this had turned to ashes. He studied her face—quite pretty—but that wasn't enough to spare her. Then he glanced at her chest. Holy crap, huge! For those breasts, he'd let her live.

"Put down this child? Impossible! Bring out your best, big sister!"

"You! Fine, you forced this! Thinking to use the child as a hostage? Dead wrong! I'll end you in an instant without harming him!"

Lena mistakenly thought Kuber planned to use the child as a hostage. Still, she was confident she could kill him cleanly—especially after seeing him leer at her chest. That thought hardened. As Silver Knights captain, she'd always been ashamed of her large chest.

"Sure you won't draw your weapon?" Lena asked, already in a fighting stance, poised to swing her sword and behead him.

"No, no, no. Against you? One finger's enough!" Kuber raised a single finger arrogantly, ready to duel with it.

Before Lena could reply, the surrounding knights erupted. How dare this punk insult their beloved captain!

"Captain, let us handle him!"

"He's insulting you!"

"We'll tear him apart!"

The knights clamored to defend Lena. Her forehead veins bulged with rage, radiating a terrifying aura—as if a beautiful girl had become a flesh-eating demon. Yet her face smiled sweetly.

"Ready to die, Mr. Scumbag?"

"Of course not. I plan to live decades longer, big-chested sister?" Kuber grinned, his words dripping with provocation.

It worked instantly. Lena vanished in a blur, reappearing before Kuber.

Got him! She thought. Her Shadow Flash Slash had never been blocked head-on. One swing would cut him in half!

*Ding!*

Dead silence fell. The knights gaped, faces like they'd swallowed flies.

Lena froze mid-swing. Her razor-sharp sword was stopped by a single finger—unable to move an inch.

"Impossible! Who are you!" she whispered, wide-eyed. Kuber smiled slightly and gave a gentlemanly noble bow.

"You troubled me without knowing who I am? Then allow an introduction. I am Coburn William, an adventurer."

"Adventurer? Aren't you an illegal slave trafficker?" Hearing this, Lena's will shattered. She collapsed to the ground, eyes blank, asking dully.
