Soon after, Luo Yu cried until she had no strength left. She half-heartedly pounded Er Yue Feng’s chest, shouting and screaming for one last vent.

Her strength was tiny, but each hit inflicted internal injuries on Er Yue Feng’s incredibly fragile body.

After making a racket for half the night, Luo Yu finally felt sleepy. She absentmindedly scratched her mouth.

Relying on the last blood-tinged spit, the girl knocked herself out and drifted into sleep.

"Holy crap," Er Yue Feng murmured, noticing the naked girl. He gently caressed her fair, soft feet. "Didn’t expect her physical combat skills to be this sharp. She actually hurt my ultra-tough body."

He released Luo Yu’s legs, then pressed both hands to his chest to suppress his churning blood. He chuckled. "Almost made me vomit blood. Luckily, I was a pro at the Physical Combat Academy. This minor injury’ll settle after two breaths."

Before he finished, Er Yue Feng spat out a mouthful of blood with a *pfft*.

Er Yue Feng: "..."

Silently, he drew out a thread of magic to heal himself. He slipped back under the covers. "Finally, a peaceful sleep."

A headache crept in as he spoke, his voice edged with resentment. "Damn it. This cheap girl—why’s she messing with my sleep? No ‘that thing’ happened, yet she kept twitching and waking me up all night."

He touched his body again. It felt like his head had been chopped off once, his heart gouged out.

Er Yue Feng refused to sleep with those shadows. But as he meditated, counting happy beans and fantasizing about regaining vigor, a stir came from his arms.

He opened his eyes. The naked girl had curled into his chest, sleeping sweetly. Drool dripped from her mouth onto his skin.

Er Yue Feng tried to push her aside. Moments later, Luo Yu wriggled back unconsciously, her head pinning his long hair.

"Daddy, do you like Xiao Yu like this?" she whispered.

"What?" Er Yue Feng jolted up, covering her mouth. "Kid, that’s the wrong generation. No nonsense."

"Daddy." Luo Yu shook off his hand, eyes closed. She hugged his waist tightly. "I’ll give you all my power-leveling money. Stay with me through chemotherapy. Xiao Yu doesn’t want to die alone."

"Chemotherapy? Power-leveling?" Er Yue Feng stared blankly. "We’re in the Demon Continent. What new terms are you spouting?"

"Daddy, goodbye, farewell—" Luo Yu’s voice turned urgent.

"Alright, alright."

Er Yue Feng patted her head helplessly. Hearing her ramble, a smirk curled on his lips. He felt oddly pleased. "Since you insist on this open game, I’ll reluctantly be your dad—"

"Daddy, Daddy, Mom ran off with Uncle Wang. She wants a divorce from you..."

Er Yue Feng: "..."

After long murmurs, Luo Yu calmed down. She released his waist and sank into deep sleep.

"Just dream talk," Er Yue Feng sighed. He pinched her exquisite cheek, then shrank back into bed, letting her hug him. "Now I can finally sleep well."

Relieved, he stroked the girl and closed his eyes, resuming his count of happy beans to lull himself.

Suddenly, an elbow slammed into his chest.

Right on the heart. Er Yue Feng’s face twisted in pain.

"Damn it," he spat blood, glaring at Luo Yu’s restless limbs. "You damn it."

The tiny intimidation worked. Luo Yu stilled, lying quietly in his arms.

He tried sleeping again.

But soon, her elbow struck his chin with perfect accuracy.

Er Yue Feng: "..."

Amid repeated elbow strikes, he lost himself. He assisted her "training" while wide-eyed, counting her hairs one by one.

...

Time, like flavors in foreplay, drags at the start but flees at the end.

Morning had passed. The sun kicked the moon aside, climbing to its peak—noon.

Luo Yu woke full of energy. She climbed off Er Yue Feng’s body.

Spotting pure cotton casual clothes left by a maid on the table, she slipped them on.

She bounced lightly, savoring the comfort. Luo Yu stretched contentedly.

No underwear? The inn’s loose clothes were cozy anyway. Luo Yu was used to going commando, relying on band-aids as substitutes.

Ready, she turned to Er Yue Feng snoring in bed. Annoyance flared.

She slapped his face. "Phantom Man, wake up! Your wives ran off today. All back to their mothers’ homes—they dumped you!"

"What?"

Er Yue Feng jolted awake, rubbing blurry eyes. Seeing Luo Yu pointing, he sighed. "Don’t make things up. They’re on an adventure, exploring the Demon God Legacy... what was that Demonic God’s name again—"

Luo Yu planted her hands on her hips, chin lifted. "Aren’t you worried they’ll get hurt?"

"With Jiu’er there? Nothing’ll happen," Er Yue Feng stretched lazily. "When she devolved into a woman, she was a dragon. Her strength’s monstrous."

"That dragon girl sister’s that strong?" Luo Yu gasped.

"Of course," Er Yue Feng explained seriously. "Demon Beast Kind encompasses all ultimate beings in the Demon Kind. Each has terrifying physical strength—the fiercest species besides Demonic Gods."

"So exaggerated."

"Not at all," he added. "Your sister Chai Jiu’s power is horrifying. She could tear a Demonic God apart barehanded. In this world, only one man can beat her in pure physical combat without magic."

"Who?"

"Me." Er Yue Feng pointed proudly at his thin frame, finger wobbling. "Chai Jiu’s skills rank second only to mine."

Luo Yu: "..."

Ignoring her disbelief, Er Yue Feng stood to drink water. But he stepped on Luo Yu’s dried vomit from last night and flipped over hard.

"Old man, you holding up?" Luo Yu helped him up.

*Cough cough...* Er Yue Feng spat blood, clutching his abdomen. He swayed, unable to recover. "Accident. Just an accident."

"Phantom Man," Luo Yu advised, hands on hips. "Why not wrap yourself in magic? Like Demon King’s Army soldiers do on battlefields?"

"Abusing magic? That’s for the weak," Er Yue Feng laughed. He flexed his nonexistent biceps, blew stray hairs off them, and shot a sharp glare. "A true physical combat genius never hides thinness with unclean, unnatural powers."
