"Hey, aren't you going to try it on now?"

After seeing me add underwear to the cart without heading to the fitting room, Chixun gave me a meaningful look and slowly asked.

"Uh, trying it on isn't necessary. As long as the size fits, it's fine."

Slightly stunned by Chixun's words, I couldn't help but reply awkwardly.

Honestly, right now... I wasn't wearing a bra at all. I only had boxers on below, with my chest loosely wrapped in cloth strips.

I had no women's clothes here originally, let alone proper lingerie. So I'd just made do with cloth strips. Trying things on now would be troublesome. I planned to grab a set in my size and leave.

"Hmm... some clothes won't feel right unless you try them," Chixun whispered softly in my ear after hearing me. My ear itched instantly, and I reflexively pushed her head away.

"Don't—don't get so close when talking! It's uncomfortable!" I twitched the corner of my mouth and chided Chixun. For some reason, I didn't really dislike her. Her easygoing warmth felt just right.

"Hmm... try them at home later?" Lu blinked slightly, watching me from the side.

"We have too many clothes to buy. Trying each piece would waste time. If it's uncomfortable, we can just return it tomorrow." I immediately thought of a solid excuse. Lu and I had a long shopping list. Trying everything would take forever.

Besides, Lu had slept a lot after lunch. By the time we left, it was almost 4 PM. I still needed to buy books and grab a restaurant spot before the dinner rush. I didn't want to wait in long lines with Lu. Taking her out was about enjoying food, not wasting time.

"Hmm? Short on time... Okay. I saw this store allows returns within twenty-four hours anyway. We can try them at home." Chixun blinked and nodded after hearing me.

"Alright, alright. We're pressed for time, Lu. Any clothes you like?" Having escaped smoothly, I turned to Lu with a warm smile.

"Hmm... I like these." Lu dashed to another rack and returned with several adorable toddler lace underwear sets. Chixun standing nearby couldn't help but freeze in surprise.

"Wow, I didn't expect Lu to pick something like this," she said, blinking at Lu.
