No sooner had I led Lu to the lingerie section than she snatched a hanger off a rack. Before I could react, she waved it under my nose. My eyes landed on… an extremely sexy purple-gray lace bra and panties set.

The set looked stunning—but the fabric was alarmingly sheer.

“…Lu, where exactly did you get this?” I asked, my face already flushing.

“Over there!” She pointed eagerly. “Everything there suits you!”

I followed her finger. A sign hung above the rack:

“What’s wrong, Amelia?” Lu tilted her head, oblivious. “You’d look beautiful in it. I really want to see you in it tonight!”

Truth was, my feelings about this female body were complicated. I was a soul fragment split from Amelia—technically female. But I’d lived as a man in this world. Even after awakening, the thought of wearing *this* made my face burn crimson.

“Oh, I think it suits Miss Amelia too!” Chixun chimed in, having wandered over from another aisle. “Same purple shade. Perfect for you.”

“Ugh… but…”

“No ‘buts’!” Chixun nudged me playfully. “It’s hidden under clothes anyway—what’s there to be shy about? You’ll look gorgeous. Right, Lu?”

“Absolutely!” Lu beamed, her earlier wariness toward Chixun melting away.

I opened my mouth, but seeing Lu’s hopeful eyes, the refusal died on my lips. With a long sigh, I forced a wry smile and nodded.

Resigned, I flagged down a sales assistant and added a size-appropriate set to our cart.
