Outside the city of Gaer, the moat stretches for thousands of meters, currently crowded with various creatures of magic. On top of the city walls, rows of mages stand side by side, casting a large number of spells downwards. There is no need to worry about precision; any direction they cast will hit the creatures of magic, even causing large areas to explode!

The most prominent figure is naturally the leader of the mage legion. Single-handedly, he can defend a hundred meters of the city wall, casting a spell that creates a vacuum zone with each strike. The colorful magic here is like bright fireworks!

The mage legion temporarily holds the battle scene, when suddenly a dark "cloud" appears in the sky. As it approaches, it is revealed to be a group of flying bird-type magical beasts swooping down towards the mages on the wall.

"Raise your shields!" a command is shouted, and the soldiers standing by the mages quickly raise their mirror-like silver shields, reflecting the sunlight the moment they are raised. The light shines on the flying magical beasts, primarily affecting their eyes.

Strong light can blind humans temporarily, and although the flying magical beasts are not human, the intense light causes significant visual disruption, turning most of them into headless flies in a short time!

"Fire arrows!" Another command is given, and archers swiftly nock their arrows. After a volley, a third of the flying magical beasts in the sky are eliminated, causing substantial losses.

These maneuvers are all based on accumulated experience from facing hordes of beasts countless times. After each battle, the King of Gaer leaves his notes, recording every encountered issue for the next king, to avoid making the same mistakes twice!

While the leader of the mage legion catches his breath, a silver leopard that has been waiting strikes from the side, aiming to eliminate this crucial force of Gaer!

But just as the silver leopard leaps halfway, a light orb smashes into its head, sending it flying. Following closely behind is a golden giant lion, which pounces on the silver leopard, knocking it to the ground.

Therese's golden giant lion, Tyris!

With a roar, Tyris bites off the silver leopard's neck, tearing out its windpipe, causing the surrounding magical beasts to retreat tens of meters.

This is the might of champions!

"What did you feed Tyris just now, Bexia? It seems much stronger than before," Therese eagerly questions from her lookout tower on the wall as she witnesses her mount taking down a formidable foe with ease.

"Just gave it a little something to help it grow a bit," Bexia chuckles, casually picking a flower from the roadside and infusing it with his power. The flower elevates Tyris from a quasi-monarch to a true monarch. With Bexia's current strength, even a drop of blood could birth a powerful saint!

The old king was a monarch grade being, much like the Forest Goddess. The beast god that was previously slain was also of a similar level, and the rest of the beasts in the horde were nothing but trash. Even the champion of the mage legion was no match for them, let alone the rest of those lower in rank.

As for Therese? She isn't even a champion!

"What did you give Tyris that's so potent? Can I have some too?" Therese's eyes light up at the prospect of enhancing herself and eagerly looks at Bexia.

"Sure, why not! Just don't be surprised if you suddenly explode on the spot after taking it!" Bexia jokes.

"You're dead!" Therese playfully kicks towards Bexia, finding only air to meet her foot.

"I don't have any potion, but I can offer you three arrows. Interested?" Bexia asks.

"Of course! Why wouldn't I?" Therese recalls how Bexia once used an arrow to stun Tyris, making her eager to try.

"Alright, you'll have to wait then!" Bexia produces three branches and a small knife, beginning to whittle them down slowly.

In the air, the battle between the old king and the Forest Goddess has intensified. The Forest Goddess is evidently stronger, but the old king wields a semi-finished artifact sword, utilizing its partial power to contend with the Forest Goddess.

However, with time passing, the monster army below becomes more ferocious. The mages of the legion are also struggling, as magic power is finite. Despite having three rounds of rotation, facing an increasing number of monsters requires them to conserve energy while monsters constantly need to be repelled. Magic power can be restored, but human stamina is limited, and exhaustion is settling in.

"Hey, are you done yet?" Therese wipes the sweat off her face, looking at Bexia still leisurely carving the arrows, and asks anxiously.

"Just take these for now!" Bexia hands Therese one of the finished arrows he prepared.

"Oh!" Therese glances at the Forest Goddess, her father's opponent in battle, hesitates, and asks, "Can this arrow take down the Forest Goddess?"

"Why don't you try it and find out?" Bexia replies.

"Alright!" Therese focuses on the task at hand, loading the wooden arrow onto her longbow.

"Swish!"

"Crack!"

The arrow leaves the bow, and the bow snaps in half from the pressure. This seemingly ordinary arrow, however, speeds with unimaginable velocity.

"Thud!"

When the arrow reappears, it is lodged into the Forest Goddess's forehead, instantly killing her. Even in death, the Forest Goddess remains oblivious to what happened.
