Monsters from the abyss, with a minimum length of at least twenty meters, appeared in front of them. They ravaged a place inhabited by orc clans, casually crashing into and demolishing large patches of "houses". They could swallow several orcs with one bite, and all the orcs had no resistance, only screams and howls could be heard.
"These are abyssal behemoths. Let's go down and rescue the people!" Baizhi and Heitong were the first to draw their swords from their waist. Even in this world, spatial equipment was extremely rare, and the elven race had very few of them.
"Follow them, but be careful not to use wide range attacks, or innocent people might get hurt!" Bexia took out his warblade. It was no longer the Noir Magnetwarblade, but a champion-level regular weapon which Bexia saw as disposable.
They sped up and Bexia quickly arrived at the orc tribe below. Christine and Conesy were even faster and had already rushed in ahead of him. Their strengths were obvious, especially Christine, who was exceptional in combat as well.
Conesy was particularly eye-catching. He had a pair of metal arm guards that reached his shoulders, and a flight device unfolded on his back. He could punch a behemoth's head and shatter it.
Although each of these abyssal behemoths had huge bodies and formidable strength, their actual power level was not that remarkable. For ordinary beings, they were a disaster, but for Bexia and his group, they were nothing more than easy kills. Their thick scales were useless as defenses against them.
Bexia also got to see the orc clan. Based on what he observed, this should be the territory of the cat race, but it was completely different from the cat race he had seen before.
If the cat race he had previously seen had only a pair of cat ears and a cat tail, resembling humans in most aspects besides some feline habits, the cat race here was a completely different story.
They had an incomplete sense of evolution. Although they walked on two legs, their appearance was completely feline, covered in furry fur with a cat-like face.
One by one, Bexia and the others killed these behemoths, and the rescued cat people quickly ran away, some even kneeling down to express their gratitude.
"Meow!" Suddenly, Bexia heard a soft, tender scream that sounded like a kitten. He followed the sound and saw a giant abyssal behemoth opening its mouth, ready to bite a small cat-person.
The small creature was so tiny that it couldn't even fit between its teeth.
"Void Blade!" The Void Grasp in Bexia's hand emitted a special fluctuation. He pointed his finger lightly forward.
"Phew!"
The giant beast's open mouth suddenly froze, and a crack strangely split its body into two, gushing out numerous dark red blood.
"Are you okay?" Bexia waved his hand to block the spurted blood and looked at the small figure on the ground. He suddenly paused because this cat-person was very different from the others.
Although it still had some differences compared to the outside world's perception of cat-people, it was no longer the type of beast form completely covered in fur. It still had cat ears and a cat tail, and its limbs were cat-like claws. However, other than that, it wasn't much different from a human. The small cat-person was holding its head with its claws, trembling as if it had been frightened, and its small body was covered with a layer of animal hide, revealing delicate and baby-like skin.
"Roar!" The Abyssal behemoths lacked intelligence, but the smell of blood enticed their ferocity. Several of them rushed towards Bexia, attracted by the strong scent of blood in the area.
Bexia acted quickly, grabbing the little cat person and leaping away, wielding a warblade in one hand. Blood splattered as she effortlessly dispatched the beasts, leaving only their howls behind.
Hundreds of these beasts charged into the area, but Bexia, Christine, and Conesy managed to kill most of them. Conesy, in particular, surprised Bexia with her violent tendencies, reducing many of the abyssal behemoths to pieces.
For these sovereign-level creatures, the abyssal behemoths were nothing more than slaughtered meat. Soon, there were no more standing abyssal behemoths, only giant corpses littering the ground.
"Hmm?!" Bexia felt as if someone was watching her. She looked down and saw the little cat person gazing up at her with admiration, eyes sparkling like stars.
"You're safe, little one!" Bexia gently placed the cat person down and patted her head. She was small, more like a young girl than a loli.
"Purr~!" The little cat person closed her eyes contentedly and, once Bexia removed her hand, scampered off on all fours.
Cat-like habits!
"Master, Conesy has eliminated 154 enemy targets!" Conesy reported, detaching her massive mechanical arm like she had just completed a mission.
"Well done!" Bexia nodded, expressing her approval. That's just how Conesy was, and she couldn't change that. Bending to her was the only option.
"Master, what should we do about the cat-people?" Christine approached, holding a blood-covered elven girl in one hand. If not for Kiley's rescue, they would have been crushed by the behemoths.
It had been a while since all the abyssal beasts had been killed, and the cat-people who had been hiding or fleeing emerged, gathering together and watching Bexia and the others from a distance.
"Let's go and see!" Bexia took the first step towards the cat-people. After a commotion, a cat-person covered in blood approached. It was difficult to determine their gender from their appearance, but judging from their figure, they seemed to be a female cat-person.
"Great ones, we thank you for saving our tribe!" The female cat-person, who was the tribe leader, spoke first. The rest of the cat-people knelt and expressed their gratitude. To them, Bexia and the others were like gods. How else could they have killed so many behemoths in an instant?
"Please rise!" Bexia frowned slightly, surprised by the cat-people's reaction, but it was understandable. She scanned the group and realized there wasn't a single one with Extreme-level strength. It was impossible for them to withstand the abyssal behemoths.
The female cat-person was grateful and led Bexia and the others into a makeshift "house" constructed with sewn fur and missing pieces of wood. They were served with some poorly made, but mouth-watering dried meat and drank water that appeared muddy.
This is such poor quality!
Bexia looked at these things speechlessly. Sensing her displeasure, the tribe leader once again knelt to the ground, begging for forgiveness, making Bexia feel as if she were some kind of villain.
The Cat people race is really pitiful!
