"What are you doing, Christine? I was just joking with them," Bexia spoke up.
"If you want to learn something, there is always a price to pay. If the master can't come up with the requirements, why not let me handle it?" Christine smirked, and Bexia didn't feel good about it.
With Christine holding these two elves, Konesi was about to be taught in the wrong way. How can they escape from Christine's grasp?
Christine intercepted Bexia's protests, and the two elves didn't understand the consequences of being represented by Christine. But Bexia's attempts to mediate were futile. It seemed to be the character of the elven race, once they made a decision, it was difficult to change their minds.
Anyway, Christine successfully fooled Bai Zhi and Hei Tong. Bexia had no choice. Originally, she just wanted to play a joke on them. Teaching them didn't really matter. At most, she would ask the Elf Queen for some benefits.
But now, Christine has caught these two elven girls first. Who knows what the consequence will be?
But Bexia didn't care too much about this matter. Let Christine make a fuss! She knows her limits and shouldn't cause any trouble.
The journey from Kovi Tree Sea to Saro Wilderness took about a day and a half. Bexia encountered several goblins along the way, but she easily defeated them. These ordinary goblins posed no threat to her. She was not afraid of group battles either—not to mention the Meteorite Destruction, let's not forget she also had Konesi, who could attack a whole area at once.
Of course, Konesi didn't need to intervene at all!
Saro Wilderness was not a peaceful place. The situation here was not better than that of Kovi Tree Sea. It was also a land of conflict. The Orcs were divided into two factions: the Orcs who used to belong to the Abyss, and the normal Orcs.
The elven race and the Orc race didn't have much interaction. Even the Abyss Orcs and goblins had little contact with each other. Although they used to be in the same Abyss, those were things of the distant past. Now that the power of the Abyss has receded, these remaining Abyss Orcs no longer have the consciousness of being Abyss creatures. It could be said that they have become a special race that possesses the power of the Abyss.
Saro Wilderness was as desolate as its name, with no vegetation on the ground, only yellowish mud and broken stones. At first glance, it seemed barren and desolate.
"How do they survive in such a place?" They were in the part of Saro Wilderness near the forest. According to reason, the land here should be relatively fertile, but unexpected desolation appeared.
"The Orcs cultivate the land and hunt other monsters to sustain their livelihoods."
"But that's not enough. It is said that many Orcs die every winter!"
"It is truly primitive," Bexia sighed. Relying on agriculture and hunting, these were things that humans had just started doing. She didn't expect this place to be like this.
But thinking about it, it made sense. Busy with constant struggles, people probably wouldn't think about how to live better. If they did, they would just improve from the original conditions. This was not a limitation of power, but rather a limitation of thinking.
Even the elven race was similar!
"Hmm!?" Suddenly, Bexia felt the ground sink, and the hard ground turned into fine quicksand. There seemed to be something like ropes entangling her feet.
And it's not just Bexia, everyone else has to be the same, a force pulling them down!
Ke Nesi frowned, and two turrets appeared at her waist. Bexia quickly stopped her and allowed herself to sink along with this force, while also deploying a shield to separate the surrounding quicksand.
"Bang!" After a while, the quicksand splattered, and the people who were already waiting by the sand pit saw a figure being thrown to the ground, followed by Bexia jumping out of the sand pit.
"So, this thing is an Abyssal Sandworm?" Bexia looked at the monster whose head she punched, which looked like a sandworm, but was covered in spikes and looked extremely ugly.
"I don't know what you're talking about with sandworms? These are common Abyssal creatures in the Saro Wasteland, they don't even have a name!" Bai Zhi replied.
"Okay! So, it doesn't even have a name!" Bexia uninterestedly kicked the Abyssal creature into the sand pit. It's just a worthless thing that doesn't even have the Extreme difficulty.
"I suddenly regret coming here. The Orcs must be extremely poor!" Bexia muttered, wondering what they even have.
"We're not sure either, but the Orcs were once a major race that rivaled our Elven race, and they even built a glorious Orc Empire. Although many years have passed, I think they should still have something!" Lady Cloud answered.
"They even built an empire?!" Bexia was surprised by this information.
"The Abyssal Orcs and the Orcs had a truce and merged for a period of time, and they established an empire. However, it collapsed in less than a hundred years." Lady Cloud explained.
"Is it real or fake?" Bexia still couldn't believe it.
"Of course it's real. The Orcs' hatred is not as strong as ours and the Goblins'. Apart from territorial disputes, they rarely wage wars." Lady Cloud said.
"So, I have to run to two places?" Bexia asked.
"If you want to, you can. After all, the strength and territories of both sides are similar!" Lady Cloud replied.
Listening to the information from Bai Zhi and Hei Tong, Bexia didn't expect to have this kind of trouble. He actually had to go to two different places, and he really didn't have confidence in the Orcs. It seemed highly likely that they were even poorer than he was.
Continuing on the journey, Bexia truly witnessed the twisted effects of Abyssal power. A variety of bizarre Abyssal creatures emerged endlessly. Although they all seemed to be the same type of creature undergoing mutation, their forms were vastly different, with no apparent similarities.
"What do you think would happen if we were corrupted by Abyssal power?" Bexia suddenly had a curious thought.
"We Elves would undergo a drastic change in temperament, becoming bloodthirsty Abyssal Elves. There have been Elves who fell before!" Bai Zhi replied.
"Ke Nesi is a warship, the Abyssal power can corrupt my body, but it can't corrupt my will!" Ke Nesi answered.
"Then I guess I'll be similar to the Elves!" Bexia touched the back of his head and said.
"Then I'll become a Abyssal weapon, so my master can use me freely!" Christine's words were always so pleasing to hear.
"The Abyssal power doesn't affect you much. Divinity will remove foreign energies autonomously, at most it's just temporary!" Lady Cloud calmly spoke.
"And generally, the power of the Abyss has no effect on you at all, unless it is above immortality, so you can completely ignore it!"
"Oh, I see! I was worrying too much!"
"Boom—!" Just as Bexia finished speaking, the earth trembled. Everyone frowned in astonishment and involuntarily quickened their pace. After passing the small hill in front, they saw a large number of Abyss monsters ahead.
