After following Beatrix for a while, we saw her entering a rather inconspicuous room built into the wall. I greeted Beatrix and walked in directly.

"Bea~trix~"

As I pushed open the door and was about to speak, I saw a figure instantly rush out of the window!

Oh my, wasn't this house built on the wall? How come there's a window on the other side?

"I'll go chase her~"

Beatrix patted my shoulder and then disappeared.

"Alright..."

At that moment, I didn't have much choice; I'm really not good at chasing after someone.

However, I noticed a male elf inside the room, looking at us with curiosity on his face. I approached him and asked, "Hello, are you Mishua?"

"Are you here to find my sister too? Sorry, my sister went out for her appointments in the morning, but she should be back soon, I suppose?"

"Really? Then I'll wait here for a while."

Although we came to find Beatrix, getting to know a little about her situation might also be helpful.

"By the way, may I ask what your relationship is with Beatrix? She ran off as soon as you called her name."

"Oh, it's nothing, I'm just her teacher. Beatrix has been absent from class for a long time, so I had to come to find her personally."

"I see..."

"Hahaha, I knew her teacher would come looking for her sooner or later."

Just as we were talking, the door suddenly opened, and a tall, nurse-uniformed female elf walked in, glanced at me, and chuckled.

"You must be Beatrix's teacher, right? Haha, looks like I won the bet. Beatrix wagered that her teacher wouldn't care about her, but apparently that's not the case."

This must be Mishua, just as Fir described— an elf who seems easily excited.

"Hello, my name is Mary, I'm Beatrix's teacher, and... I believe you remember Fir too, right? Fir is also her teacher."

"Fir... oh, that guy. It's been about a month since he left last time... well, it's easy to lose track of time down here. I can't believe that guy suddenly became a teacher, and Beatrix is attending the Imperial Academy, right? So Fir is now a teacher at the Imperial Academy too?"

"Yes."

"It's quite interesting. If it weren't for needing to watch the shop here, I would love to find a job at the Imperial Academy. Well, don't get me wrong, I just think being a black market doctor is quite dangerous. If a customer decides to silence me, what's a weak woman like me to do?"

I feel like you could easily knock down an opponent by pinpointing their weakness; what are you talking about?

"Oh."

Just as we were conversing, a crack suddenly opened in the air, and a smiling Beatrix emerged dragging a black rectangular box.

"What's this?"

"Caught her~"

Beatrix said as she snapped her fingers, causing Beatrix to fall out of the black box and onto the floor.

"Ouch... couldn't you be gentler!"

"If you hadn't run off in the first place, you wouldn't have fallen, right?"

I said with a smile.

"Come on, tell me, why did you skip class? Everyone else always has plenty of troublesome reasons, don't tell me you just felt like skipping class and that's why you didn't show up."

"I..."

Beryl looked at me, feeling a bit embarrassed as she began to speak.

"It's because... of my father..."

"Alright, another family dispute, what's the deal? It's fine, we've taken care of Melordo's old man, one or two more won't make a difference."

"No no no, it's not that my father is bad, it's just that I feel the cost of my arm makes it hard for me to face him, so I ran out on the pretext of exercising, and then I maintain my arm by completing some lucrative tasks... Of course, this way I also train myself, so it's like killing two birds with one stone."

"..."

I looked at her, unsure of how to react to such an explanation.

"You had me searching for so long just because of this odd reason?"

"Anyways! Going to school is also about improving oneself, right? So I..."

"Alright, I understand, I won't dwell on your choice. Report to school before the end of this week, since you want to earn money, right? Our school has a treasure hunting event this time, which will surely make a lot of money, so just follow along."

"Treasure... really?"

Seeing Beryl's eyes light up upon hearing this, I felt relieved.

It seems she's quite persuasive after all, compared to others, otherwise things would have been even more troublesome.

"What treasure!"

Surprisingly, Beryl wasn't the only one interested; Mishua beside her was also looking at me with eyes shining green, as if I were the treasure.

"Ah..."

Realizing her own awkwardness, she coughed and blushed before asking.

"I'm just curious..."

I can't help but feel like you're more than just curious. Oh well, maybe Beryl will need her for repairs in the future, she might even have to wear her.

"It's just that someone saw a dragon fall there."

"A dragon..."

Mishua's eyes instantly lit up! She walked over to Chelia, smiling as she said.

"Little brother, sis will be away for a few days, so keep an eye on the house, okay~"

"Huh? What about the guests?"

"Let them wait~"

"But..."

Chelia sounded a bit lonely.

"I'll feel lonely without sis."

"..."

Mishua hugged Chelia tightly.

"Sorry~ It's sis's fault, let's go together~"

"Yes~"

I facepalmed on the side.

Damn, even siblings are displaying affection, there's no way to get through these days.
