After seeing Luna back to the girls’ dorm so she could rest, Yu Ge headed toward the boys’ dorm, humming a little tune.
Thinking back to Luna’s reaction when he’d bandaged her wound, he could barely contain his excitement. He hadn’t expected those cheesy pickup lines to work so well. Luna was clearly starting to like him.
Yeah! He’d sweep Luna off her feet, then marry her, have kids, and reach the peak of his life!
Yu Ge let his imagination run wild as he walked down the empty street. Just then, he suddenly felt as if someone behind him was watching.
Yu Ge hadn’t activated any magic cards to scan his surroundings, but his instincts told him something behind him was out of place.
Yu Ge narrowed his eyes. As soon as he reached the intersection, he turned the corner, then faced the street and waited for whoever was following him to appear.
A little while later, a girl with short brown hair in braids cautiously came around the corner, glancing all around. Very suspicious. She had to be the one following him.
“So, why are you following me?”
Yu Ge shrugged. He’d never seen this girl before. Judging by her uniform, she was probably in the same year as him, but definitely not in Class S.
“F-F-F-F-Following you?”
The brown-haired girl saw that Yu Ge had noticed her and shuddered violently, as if he’d startled her. But she quickly waved her hands.
“What are you talking about? Why would I follow you?”
The brown-haired girl’s eyes darted around. She wouldn’t meet Yu Ge’s gaze, her expression was completely unnatural, and she even turned her head to the side. She had all three classic signs of a liar.
“You’re terrible at lying. I’ll give you a chance to come clean now. If you can’t give me a good reason, this won’t be so easy to resolve.”
Yu Ge sighed. On closer inspection, the girl was very cute, with eyes that blinked like agate and a pretty nice figure. But one of her shapely legs wore an over-the-knee sock, while the other had a short sock. Maybe she had a bit of a rebellious streak.
“Uh…”
Yu Ge’s bluff had the brown-haired girl flustered. She looked awkward and didn’t know what to say, but she didn’t just turn and leave, either. She stayed right where she was.
“Looks like you won’t tell the truth unless I use magic.”
Yu Ge took a card from his pocket. There was no way this girl was following him for anything good. He wasn’t so full of himself that he thought some girl had fallen for him and started stalking him.
“Wait! I-I actually… actually wanted to ask where you bought your magic cards…”
Seeing Yu Ge about to use a magic card, the brown-haired girl hurriedly shouted, looking flustered.
“Huh?”
Now it was Yu Ge’s turn to look completely dumbfounded.
“That brainwashing magic card you used before to control the Hellshadow Demon Wolf, and the forced-transfer magic card you used today—I wanted to ask where you bought them!”
The brown-haired girl hurried over to Yu Ge and clasped her hands to her chest, looking full of anticipation.
Yu Ge let out a sigh of relief. Oh, so she’d seen how powerful his magic was and wanted to buy some cards from him. Looked like he was about to make his first big sale.
“The cards you use aren’t very high-level, and they barely have any power. They also rely heavily on exploiting loopholes and bending the rules. But I want to know where I can buy cards like those.”
When Yu Ge didn’t answer, the brown-haired girl continued.
“Well, thanks for the compliment.”
Yu Ge’s face twitched. Was she insulting him? He only used these technical magic cards so he wouldn’t reveal his true strength. If he could really let loose, his actual power would probably scare her silly.
“Hehe, my mom says I’m really good at complimenting people. So, can you tell me where to buy them?”
The brown-haired girl rubbed the back of her head, looking very embarrassed—and strangely proud of herself.
“What a doting mom.”
Yu Ge rolled his eyes.
“Huh?”
The brown-haired girl hadn’t heard Yu Ge’s muttered remark.
“Nothing. A friend gave me these cards.”
Yu Ge quickly waved his hand, then pulled the Brainwashing and Monster Transfer cards he’d used earlier from his pocket, along with a few others. None of them were particularly high-level, but they all had strange and unusual effects. Used well, they could completely turn the tide of a battle.
“Your friend?”
The brown-haired girl blinked at Yu Ge.
“Yeah. I used to be ridiculously bad—my combat skills were weak as hell. Then one day, my friend came over and told me I didn’t have the makings of a Mage, so the only way to get stronger was to cheat—no, I mean, use the cards he made.”
“Y-Your friend is a Card Maker?”
The brown-haired girl sucked in a sharp breath. Card Makers had such a prestigious and rare profession. No wonder this guy had those cards, if he had a Card Maker for a friend.
“Mm-hmm. So if you want cards, I can sell you some.”
Yu Ge patted his chest. He might not have money, a house, or a car right now, but he had as many cards as anyone could want, with whatever effects they wanted.
“And if there’s a particular effect you want, I can ask my friend to make a card for you. It’ll cost extra, though. He’s insanely good at making cards.”
“Really? Do you have a magic card that can make my chest bigger?”
Little stars practically sparkled in the brown-haired girl’s eyes.
“Uh, no. But I know a way to make your chest bigger.”
Yu Ge glanced at the brown-haired girl’s chest without thinking. It really did look underdeveloped. What a shame. He’d never thought of making a magic card for that, but he knew plenty of ways to enhance a chest—he’d read about them online before he transmigrated.
“What is it?”
The brown-haired girl blinked.
“Massage.”
Yu Ge said it with righteous conviction.
“How do you do that?”
“I’ll show you.”
Yu Ge slapped his chest indignantly. If he didn’t go to hell, who would? Leave it to him.
“Okay, please!”
The brown-haired girl nodded hard. Yu Ge’s face lit up when he saw that. Was this girl really that airheaded? He reached out with his wicked hands and slowly moved them toward her chest.
But when Yu Ge’s hands were just one centimeter away from the brown-haired girl’s chest, right when he thought he was about to get away with it so easily, the girl suddenly reached out and grabbed his wrist.
“Hold on. Are you trying to take advantage of me?”
The brown-haired girl finally caught on. She lifted her head and glared at Yu Ge, clearly annoyed.
“Heh…”
Yu Ge gave an awkward laugh. So people weren’t that easy to fool after all.
“DIE!”
