[Host, Tang Bao'er is here. Why are you still asleep?]
Silly Girl couldn't help reminding her. The aura around Tang Bao'er was downright dangerous—it gave her the creeps.
[I'm waiting for her to come over. Like they say, you can never wake someone who's pretending to be asleep. Get it, Silly Girl?]
[...]
Silly Girl was speechless again. Mo Qing's behavior struck her as even more bizarre than Tang Bao'er's.
She could understand Tang Bao'er being a yandere. But Mo Qing knew she was walking straight into a pit of fire and still jumped in. Silly Girl just didn't get it. Mo Qing really was a lunatic—a lunatic even crazier than a yandere.
By now, Tang Bao'er was nose to nose with Mo Qing. Her jet-black hair spilled down like a waterfall, and a few mischievous strands brushed Mo Qing's pale face. She braced both arms on either side of Mo Qing, close enough to feel her steady, even breathing.
Tang Bao'er's gaze fell on Mo Qing's red lips. Then, unable to wait any longer, she leaned down and kissed her.
[She's so cute. Her lips are as soft as pudding~ But is a kiss all you're going to do? No matter what you do to me, I won't wake up, you know.]
[Mo Qing, you're playing with fire...]
[Fire? That's a good way to put it. I'm looking forward to her passion.]
[...]
Afraid that Mo Qing might wake up and see what she'd done—and that it might scare her—Tang Bao'er gave her only a light kiss, then quickly returned to her original position. She set the notebook back on her lap and continued working as if nothing had happened.
Mo Qing opened her eyes and watched Tang Bao'er's back. She touched a finger to her lips. They were a little wet. She ran her little tongue over them.
A little while later, Mo Qing got up. Hearing the movement, Tang Bao'er quickly turned to look at her.
“Sister Bao'er, how long was I asleep? I'm really sorry.” Mo Qing looked apologetic.
“It's all right, Qing'er. Make yourself at home. You can sleep as long as you like,” Tang Bao'er said earnestly, a burning desire hidden deep in her eyes.
“You're so nice, Sister Bao'er. You haven't eaten yet, have you? How about I cook for you? I'm really good at it.” Mo Qing checked the time. It was almost time for dinner.
“But you're hurt,” Tang Bao'er reminded her.
“It's fine, don't worry. Look.” Mo Qing got down from the bed and spun around in front of Tang Bao'er. Her pink pleated skirt swirled, and she moved like a lively little fairy.
“You're really all better. That's wonderful.” Tang Bao'er stared at Mo Qing in a daze. Mo Qing seemed completely off guard around her, as if they'd known each other for years.
If Silly Girl could've cut in just then, she would've said, “Second female lead, run! This overly familiar, scheming fake-sweet girl is a demon who'll eat you alive and leave no bones behind!”
“Sister Bao'er, is the kitchen downstairs? I'll cook for you. I'm really good at it.” Mo Qing looked like a bright, energetic girl.
“Wait. Let me take the bandage off your leg and put on some ointment to help prevent scarring.” Tang Bao'er reached out and stopped Mo Qing as she headed for the door.
“All right.” Mo Qing nodded obediently and let Tang Bao'er lead her back to the bed.
Tang Bao'er took a first-aid kit from under the bed. She seemed to use it often; even the way she pulled it out looked effortless.
She crouched in front of Tang Bao'er, then cradled Mo Qing's little foot. Hiding the excitement in her eyes, she carefully unwound the bandage.
“You're so gentle, Sister Bao'er.” Mo Qing gave Tang Bao'er an innocent, radiant smile. To Tang Bao'er, it was the smile of an angel.
Tang Bao'er stared for a moment, then murmured, “Mm.” She quickly lowered her head. She was afraid the excitement on her face would scare Mo Qing, so she didn't want her to see it.
Once the bandage was off Mo Qing's lower leg, Tang Bao'er gently applied some clear medicine. Only then did she reluctantly let go of Mo Qing's little foot.
“I'm going to wash my hands. Wait here, and then I'll take you downstairs to the kitchen.” Tang Bao'er held the bloodstained bandage she'd taken off Mo Qing and spoke without changing expression.
“Okay, hurry back, Sister Bao'er.” Mo Qing nodded and stayed seated on the edge of the bed.
There was a bathroom in the room. Tang Bao'er went inside, but she had no intention of washing her hands. She stared fervently at the bloodstained bandage Mo Qing had taken off. Her hands trembled as she held it, and she no longer bothered to hide the excitement on her pretty face.
Tang Bao'er lowered her head and buried her face in it, breathing in deeply.
So this is what an angel smells like!
It was intoxicating! She couldn't get enough!
