Ignoring the girl’s gaze, Shen Guang propped his cheek up with one hand and turned his head toward the window.

Shen Guang’s actions made Luo Xiaoxiao a little annoyed. He hadn’t even looked at her once!

Annoyed, she decided to play a prank on Shen Guang later.

“Is he winking at me?”

“You must’ve seen it wrong. He was winking at me!”

Some shameless classmates whispered among themselves. They were joking, of course, but they still couldn’t help feeling secretly pleased. Even buying ** could get you a win, so why couldn’t Luo Xiaoxiao fall for them?

Of course, all of that was just their imagination.

Qin He was a little surprised too, because he’d clearly seen Luo Xiaoxiao looking this way.

He turned his head without thinking. Shen Guang was sitting at his desk, idly twirling a pen. Luo Xiaoxiao’s arrival seemed to have no effect on him at all.

That was unusual. Shen Guang used to love showing off in situations like this.

Was he staying quiet because Yan Qingxue was sitting beside him?

“Shen Guang, is she looking at you?” Yan Qingxue had noticed Luo Xiaoxiao’s gaze too. She instinctively looked at Shen Guang, only to find him completely unfazed!

That was a huge celebrity! Was he really not excited at all? Even if they were childhood friends and knew each other inside and out, he should’ve shown some kind of reaction, right?

“If you want, she could even be looking at you.” Shen Guang dodged the question. But he’d already decided to bolt the moment class ended. That woman was definitely here for him!

“Hi, everyone! I’m Luo Xiaoxiao, and starting today, I’ll be your classmate! I hope we’ll get along~” Her bright, cheerful voice was infectious, and with that radiant smile, she won over quite a few of her classmates.

As an idol, Luo Xiaoxiao knew exactly how to win people over.

All it took was getting a little closer to them, and soon they’d accept and understand her.

Being able to attend class with your idol and see her regularly was naturally exciting.

Because of this, quite a few of the boys started hiding their true selves.

After all, they couldn’t let their idol see the ugly side of them!

“You’re really popular,” the homeroom teacher said, looking a little surprised by how close his students were to going wild. He hadn’t expected so many people in the class to be Luo Xiaoxiao’s fans.

Luo Xiaoxiao took it as a compliment from the homeroom teacher.

With a smile on her face, she asked,

“Mr. Li, can I choose my own seat?”

“Of course. Pick a seat wherever you like.”

Luo Xiaoxiao’s question fired up the class. Some students eagerly waved at her, while a few girls watched her expectantly, hoping she’d sit beside them.

Luo Xiaoxiao looked around the room, but in the end, her gaze settled on Shen Guang.

Yan Qingxue couldn’t help turning to look at Shen Guang too.

How could he be so calm? Luo Xiaoxiao was looking right at him!

As the one she was looking at, Shen Guang had naturally noticed Luo Xiaoxiao’s gaze. It was so blatant—she was clearly here for him.

He really didn’t want to admit it, but if Luo Xiaoxiao wanted to sit beside him, he’d probably get a lot of death glares.

That would make his already poor relationships with his classmates even worse.

All he could say was, Luo Xiaoxiao showing up was practically pushing him toward a bad end.

Luo Xiaoxiao had already decided where she wanted to sit. She pointed toward Shen Guang and said expectantly,

“In front of that boy.”

Everyone turned to look at Shen Guang. He stopped twirling his pen and finally looked up at Luo Xiaoxiao.

He was caught between a rock and a hard place. If he rejected Luo Xiaoxiao now, people would think he didn’t know what was good for him. But if he accepted without saying a word, he’d become the enemy of the whole class.

He didn’t blame his predecessor for being an idiot. He could only say the creator of this game wanted him dead.

“Jiang Ming?” He tried calling to the boy in front of him. Jiang Ming turned his face slightly, his eyes showing no particular reaction.

“I’m not taking the fall for this. If she wants my seat, she can have it.”

That was a very clear answer. Jiang Ming really knew what was up!

Looks like there was no way to get out of this.

.......

Unexpectedly, Luo Xiaoxiao’s transfer meant there was one more student in Shen Guang’s class.

Jiang Ming didn’t go far. He moved to the seat behind Shen Guang.

Luo Xiaoxiao sat in front of him.

The homeroom teacher was called out by the principal, and the classroom instantly grew lively. Most people looked toward Luo Xiaoxiao, while some of the boys shot hostile looks at Shen Guang.

How did Shen Guang get all the good things?

Yan Qingxue was on his right, and Luo Xiaoxiao was in front of him. They were both school goddesses! Just what kind of insane luck did this guy have?

Shen Guang ignored the envious, jealous, and resentful looks from his classmates.

But when he looked up, Luo Xiaoxiao was watching him with a beaming smile, as if waiting for him to praise her.

Shen Guang stared at her for a while, then lowered his head without saying a word.

That attitude made Luo Xiaoxiao a little angry!

She’d transferred into his class, and he still had no reaction at all?

“Shen Guang?” Luo Xiaoxiao rested both hands on his desk. A faint lavender scent drifted over, disrupting Shen Guang’s concentration.

“You’re not supposed to know me here.” Shen Guang kept his voice low, making sure no one else could hear them.

But Luo Xiaoxiao reached out and tapped his test paper with a finger, as if teasing him.

“But your name’s right here. Shen~ Guang~.”

Luo Xiaoxiao smiled like a whole garden in bloom.

The other students grew even more jealous. What right did Shen Guang have to get so close to Luo Xiaoxiao? And why was she smiling so happily at him?

When Shen Guang didn’t answer, Luo Xiaoxiao propped her chin on both hands and stared at him earnestly.

“Can I have lunch with you? It’s my first time transferring schools, and I don’t know my way around. You’re the only person I know here~”

“Look at your classmates around you. I’m sure they’d be even more eager to do that than I am.”

“But you’re the only one who makes me feel safe~”

Luo Xiaoxiao waited eagerly. She wanted to see how long Shen Guang could hold out!

At her words, Shen Guang finally stopped writing and looked up at the girl in front of him.

She seemed certain he’d agree to her request.

Most people would probably give in under such an intense onslaught.

But Shen Guang wasn’t most people. Naturally, he didn’t do what most people would.

The corner of his mouth lifted into a mysterious smile.

“Sure, if you don’t mind the three of us going together.”

Luo Xiaoxiao’s smile froze. Unless she’d misheard, Shen Guang had said the three of them would go together? What did that mean?

Shen Guang turned to Yan Qingxue beside him, his face bright with a sunny smile.

“Yan, didn’t you say you were having lunch with me today?”

“Huh? I...” Yan Qingxue had no idea what was going on. Why had he suddenly dragged her into this?

She was about to explain, but Shen Guang raised an eyebrow, his gaze carrying a hint of warning.

Was he telling her to watch what she said?

Yan Qingxue’s mouth twitched. She really hadn’t expected Shen Guang to invite her to lunch just because of another girl...
