The earlier incident had left an awkward, frozen tension between them.

An Han was drowning in regret. With all his roommates gone, he’d let his guard down—and forgotten to lock the door while changing.

How careless!

Thankfully, the wardrobe blocked Su Peng’s view. Who knows what might’ve happened otherwise.

And his reaction had been way too sharp! If he’d just calmly asked Su Peng to leave, things wouldn’t feel this stiff now.

He must be angry—the affection points wouldn’t have dropped otherwise.

To Su Peng, his behavior probably seemed totally bizarre.

An Han had eaten before five, so now he only ordered a bowl of extra-sour wonton soup. Head slightly lowered, he stole shy glances at Su Peng between bites.

*Gotta calm him down…*

Inside, he sighed helplessly. This was truly his fault. No wonder Su Peng was upset.

Busy racking his brain for ways to soothe Su Peng, he didn’t notice Su Peng was also watching him subtly from the corner of his eye.

Right now, An Han looked like a scolded puppy—curled up small, glancing up with those big, dark eyes full of quiet guilt, then quickly looking away.

…Kinda cute.

Su Peng’s irritation softened. A teasing smile tugged his lips. “What were you hiding in the dorm just now?”

“N-nothing!” An Han shook his head flusteredly. The harder he denied it, the more obvious it became—and Su Peng chuckled.

“What’s so funny…” He ducked his head, muttering, “Su Peng, you’re getting worse.”

“How am I?”

An Han stayed silent, inwardly grumbling: *Why’s this 20-point affection task so impossible? Long Xing jumped ten points in one go! Yours creeps up five at a time—and just dropped three damn points! How is that fair?!*

“Where’d you go this afternoon?” An Han asked, curiosity piqued.

“Someone invited me to a movie.”

His eyes lit up. “A girl?”

“Mm.”

“Oh-ho~” Sensing Su Peng wasn’t angry anymore, An Han teased lightly, “Did you two book an hourly room after?”

Relief washed over him. *Su Peng’s into girls. Zero chance he’s interested in me.*

Su Peng rolled his eyes. “No.”

“Is she pretty? Chasing you? Do you like her?” An Han fired questions nonstop.

“Why so curious about my life?”

“Brother Long would’ve told me everything.”

“Because he likes you in women’s clothing.”

“…”

An Han fell silent.

“She’s… okay. Not love, just a slight interest,” Su Peng said, head down, eating. *Is he testing if I like someone?*

An Han’s cheeks were faintly flushed—genuinely shy.

“I see~” Curiosity bubbled up. “What’s her name? Do I know her?”

“An Kexin.”

“I remember her! From the debate competition!”

Same surname helped him recall her face. But thinking harder… she wasn’t especially pretty. A little on the heavier side.

An Han muttered under his breath, “She’s not even as pretty as me. Wasn’t she around 132 pounds at the last fitness test?”

*Thanks to the system, I can say that now.*

Su Peng’s sharp ears caught every word.

*Confirmed.*

“Your taste needs work.”

“Her personality’s nice.”

“Yeah… personality’s fine,” An Han admitted—but he was shallow about looks. Otherwise, he’d have had a crush in middle school, not stayed single since birth.

*Wait—I shouldn’t trash the girl he likes!* Panicked, he backtracked: “Personality matters way more than looks, right?”

“Mm.”

An Han quickly looked down, hiding his flush.

Su Peng’s suspicion deepened. *Is he… scheming something with me?*

He paused. This couldn’t continue. Voice earnest, he asked, “An Han… you don’t like… guys, do you?”

“What?!” An Han blinked in shock. “Why would you think that?”

“But you—”

*Oh. He’s scared I like him.*

Same worry An Han had.

He waved a hand dismissively. “Even if I went to hell, I’d never like a man, okay? I’ve just been bored alone in the dorm—no girls chasing me, roommates all gone. You’re the only entertainment.”

Su Peng gave a silent nod.

*(If I hadn’t seen you dressing as a girl online… I might’ve believed you.)*

Dinner ended. An Han’s belly was round, steps heavy. His mind still churned over affection points—but Su Peng seemed less upset now.

Tentatively: “How about… we watch a movie too?”

He rarely watched films with roommates. Honestly? He didn’t care for movies.

Su Peng knew that. Frowning: “What do you want to watch?”

“Dunno.”

An Han just wanted alone time to boost points.

Su Peng tensed. *Two guys skipping popcorn movies and saying “dunno”? Suspicious.*

“Relax! I’m just bored,” An Han waved it off. “If not movies—wanna duo up tonight?”

“Sure.”

“You staying in my dorm again?”

“Nah.”

*Pushing him to stay would totally make me look gay.*

An Han didn’t press it. *Maybe gaming boosts friendship points too.*

“At least bring your laptop. Voice chat’s messy otherwise.”

Su Peng glanced over—An Han’s big eyes shimmered with hopeful expectation.

“…Fine.”

“Promise!” Overjoyed, An Han hooked an arm around Su Peng’s neck.

A soft, warm body pressed against him. Su Peng shifted uncomfortably—but couldn’t pull away.

*An Han smells… really good.*

Then it hit him: the scent on the bed wasn’t perfume. It was just… him.
