036. Crisis!

Ren Chi didn’t bluntly mention the cross-dressing incident—he still cared about An Han’s dignity. They both acted as if nothing had happened, keeping silent about it entirely.

“Remember to make your bed,” Ren Chi reminded An Han. “University administrators are inspecting after the National Day holiday. If you get marked down, I can’t help you.”

“Mm.” Though neither brought it up, An Han still asked anxiously yet hopefully, “So… Teacher, you won’t tell anyone about this, right?”

“I know.”

An Han finally felt completely relieved.

Being seen in women’s clothes by his counselor was embarrassing, sure—but at least it *was* the counselor. If it had been some big-mouthed Student Union member, or someone like Chen Junjie who held a grudge? Things wouldn’t have ended so cleanly.

Cafeteria meals were far cheaper than eating out. The taste wasn’t great, but for An Han, filling his stomach affordably was enough.

Just as An Han stood up after eating, Ren Chi spoke again.

“There’s a sports meet after National Day. You’re joining.”

“Huh?” Bewildered, An Han pointed at himself. “Me? The sports meet?”

Counselors always struggled to find participants, but they’d never targeted An Han before—too skinny, too frail. And now? Not just skinny. He looked downright effeminate. Hardly athlete material.

“I heard you’re fast. Top placements qualify for the city competition.”

“But we have student athletes…” An Han *was* quick—he jogged regularly—but compared to real athletes? Average at best. Probably worse than Long Xing.

He opened his mouth to refuse—then froze at Ren Chi’s narrow-eyed smile. A chill shot down his spine.

“I’ll sign up! Definitely!” he blurted.

*Damn it. Narrow-eyed people are the worst. So sinister.*

Any goodwill he’d felt toward Ren Chi plummeted straight to negative.

“Sign up with the class monitor after break.”

“It doesn’t have to be track, right?”

“Anything.”

*Good.* Past meets meant showing up for the opening ceremony, then hiding in the dorm gaming. A three-day holiday. Track events meant multiple rounds—bye-bye free time.

While mentally scanning for a quick-exit event he wouldn’t embarrass himself in, Ren Chi added with a smile: “This time, no hiding in dorms gaming. Roll call every hour.”

“…”

“It’s a *sports meet*. What’s the point of skipping?”

“I know.”

Stuck with a strict counselor—who also held his secret. Normally? Even ten-minute roll calls wouldn’t scare him back to the dorm. Non-class attendance threats were all talk. In years, no counselor had ever actually deducted credits.

Another hassle.

An Han trudged out of the cafeteria, gloomy. *Need an event: one round, minutes on field, decent skill. No shame.* He sighed. Life kept worsening. Roommate watching him. Wu Dongming pressuring him. Now Ren Chi, armed with his secret.

Su Peng was different. Kept his secret. Never used it.

An Han scanned the campus desperately—but by the time he reached the dorm, Su Peng was nowhere.

*Only five affection points left…*

Inside, he peeled off his jacket, stood under the AC blast, and wiped sweat from his face with a towel. Half an hour out, and his back was soaked.

“Gotta buy a sun-protective jacket online,” he muttered, stripping his damp T-shirt. Too lazy to shower, he just soaked in the cool air.

“Things feel off,” he thought. “No tasks done, no stats gained these two days… yet my body changes daily. Even if the mirror doesn’t show it.”

He studied his naked reflection. Admittedly flat-chested—but undeniably alluring. *Perverts who like petite frames would probably adore this.*

Grabbing a fresh shirt from the wardrobe door, he froze.

*Click.*

“An Han.”

Su Peng’s voice.

His heart lurched. He stiffened, twisting his head—wardrobe door blocked the view. Only his calves were visible below the gap.

“Wanna grab dinner?”

Footsteps drew closer. Like a grim reaper closing in.

If seen naked… not life-or-death like some conservative girl, but *exposure*. His feminized body revealed. How could he face campus again?!

Trembling, An Han shrieked, “STOP!”

The sharp cry made Su Peng halt. “Huh?”

“OUT!”

Su Peng stepped back, scratching his head. “What’s wrong?”

“I—I’m changing!”

“So? It’s just changing.”

“…”

*I’m actually speechless!*

Su Peng had seen him shirtless countless times. Post-shower dorm strolls in just boxers? Normal. But *now* was different!

“OUT!” An Han’s voice cracked, trembling with panic.

“Okay, okay!” Su Peng retreated, closing the door.

*Why so intense? We’re guys. It’s just clothes.*

An Han was getting weirder. Unreadable.

Su Peng’s mood soured. He turned to leave—

The door creaked open. An Han’s flushed face peeked through the crack, big eyes brimming with apology. “Earlier… I had something urgent.”

“Oh.” Su Peng’s reply was icy.

[Su Peng’s Affection -3]

*NO! All that hard-earned affection!*

An Han’s heart jolted. He darted out, grabbing Su Peng’s arm.

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry…” he repeated desperately under Su Peng’s confused stare.

Su Peng met those deep black eyes. His expression softened slightly. “Dinner together?”

“Yes!”

Even if he’d just eaten—he’d eat again.
