After all, this was just a game—not reality. With no gore allowed, the Goblin Lord wouldn’t actually go blind from that hit.
Still, the strike triggered a critical hit. The massive damage sent the boss stumbling back with a pained shriek, arms flailing wildly to grab Bai Xia.
But Bai Xia had already vanished—Dark Harvest teleporting her behind it. She dodged its grasp and slashed downward with her Shadowfang Dagger, dealing heavy damage.
At the same moment, Tianzheng lunged forward. With the Goblin Lord’s aggro fully locked on Bai Xia, he swung his sword straight for its neck!
Why target the neck? Simple—it looked easy to hit, and weak-point damage bonuses didn’t hurt.
Honestly, they should count themselves lucky the Goblin Lord wore no armor. Otherwise, this fight would’ve been far tougher.
Tianzheng’s strike bit deep. Unsatisfied, he activated Zeal and followed up with Reincarnation Slash. No knockback, but the boss froze in a stunned stagger.
Then, with Qing Qiu covering the rear, they pressed the advantage—striking while it was vulnerable—and hacked another chunk from its health bar!
As a Level 10 elite boss, the Goblin Lord’s offense, skills, and HP truly earned the "elite" title. Yet it had one fatal flaw… abysmally low defense.
Bai Xia calculated its armor was barely higher than a common goblin’s. Sustained attacks had already carved deep into its HP.
Already half-dead at the start, its health bar now glowed dangerously low.
A Thunder Explosion forced Bai Xia and Tianzheng back. Rapid HP loss triggered its innate skill: summoning minions.
To both fighters, it was a foolish move—the boss stood rooted and defenseless during the summon.
The instant it began chanting, they pounced without hesitation, unleashing full combos.
Just as the Goblin Lord recovered to attack, they instantly pivoted—diving on the newly summoned minion, still blinking in confusion from the summoning light—and erased it before it could react.
The Goblin Lord let out a weak, frustrated roar. Its attacks grew wilder as HP dropped, but Bai Xia and Tianzheng, having memorized its patterns, fought with slick precision.
Tianzheng held the front. Every time the boss lunged at him, Bai Xia—slippery as an eel—teleported in to interrupt. When it turned on her, skills either missed or fizzled. Cornered? Shadow Step created instant distance.
Her constant harassment infuriated the boss, yet it was powerless. Bai Xia never missed a gap to deal extra damage—even switching to main DPS the moment Tianzheng fell back to guard.
Front attacked? Rear exposed. Rear targeted? Front took heavy hits. Skill attempt? Interrupted or dodged with sharp anticipation.
If the Goblin Lord had higher IQ, it might’ve roared skyward and self-destructed to take these cunning humans down. Alas—even as an elite, it was only Level 10, a half-evolved, subpar specimen.
With brainpower barely exceeding a common goblin’s, it now posed less threat than the swarm they’d faced entering the lair. At least those minions had been a nuisance.
Stronger than minions? Yes. But its moveset was limited. With focus, evasion and counterplay came easily.
Slowly, the boss’s HP dipped below 30%. Bai Xia and Tianzheng tensed instantly—they knew its ultimate triggered here.
True to form, desperate to end them, the Goblin Lord skipped summoning minions. Ominous lightning crackled across its body the moment the threshold hit!
This storm was far more violent. Enveloped in raw electricity, the boss’s form seemed to dissolve into pure lightning.
A guttural roar tore from its throat. After a sharp charge, it raised its distorted lightning greatsword high.
Rumble!
As the blade fell, hundreds of bolts erupted outward, violently striking the ground in all directions. In seconds, half the lair became a raging sea of lightning!
“…Way too overpowered!” Bai Xia gasped, pressed flat against the wall. She’d retreated instantly—but still nearly got swallowed. Her face was pale with shock.
Tianzheng stayed silent beside her, but dread flickered in his eyes.
Thankfully, they’d pulled back the moment the cast began. At this skill’s power? Even Tianzheng might’ve been instantly obliterated.
But flashiest ultimates mean nothing if they miss.
Since Bai Xia and Tianzheng stood unscathed, the Goblin Lord’s fate was sealed.
As the lightning storm faded after three seconds, revealing the panting, drained boss, Bai Xia’s eyes gleamed with fierce resolve.
Its strange body markings had dimmed. It lifted its head, scanning for fallen foes—only to lock eyes with two perfectly intact humans.
The Goblin Lord froze. Then let out a roar of bitter disbelief.
Ultimate wasted. Skills on cooldown. Bai Xia and Tianzheng gave it no mercy.
Though its innate summon still worked—and a new minion flickered into existence as they closed in—it changed nothing. Too little. Too late.
