Its own minion slain, the Goblin Lord—already berserk from its interrupted evolution—erupted into pure frenzy. Lightning exploded outward, forming a crackling domain that shoved Tianzheng back. Without hesitation, it spun and closed the distance to Bai Xia in three swift strides.

At that same moment, Goblin Archers and Stone Throwers locked onto her. Poisoned arrows and explosive stone spikes sealed every escape route.

These goblins might be dim-witted, but clearly not useless. This perfectly timed coordination proved it.

Trapped, Bai Xia had no choice but to narrowly dodge the Lord’s lightning blade while taking the arrows and spikes head-on. Her health bar visibly dipped. Slowed. Poisoned.

Thankfully, Tianzheng flashed in, drawing the Lord’s aggro and granting her a breath.

"Tch… Calling them ‘minions’? So shameless!"

The Lord alone was trouble enough. Now with these backline snipers? A thick wave of danger washed over her.

But the Lord’s relentless assault pinned both Bai Xia and Tianzheng down. No opening to deal with the remaining minions—leaving them free to fire away in perfect safety.

"We can’t keep this up."

As the Lord raised its greatsword to charge another skill, Bai Xia hummed low. She melted into shadow to evade a poisoned arrow, teleported behind it, and launched upward with a powerful push-off.

*Thwip!*

Her dagger plunged without pause into the Goblin Captain’s neck. The pale monster roared in agony. Critical weak-point hit—skill interrupted!

In-game, skill interruption meant brief stun. Seizing the split-second window, Tianzheng closed in and unleashed a furious barrage. Silver-white blade flashed. Damage numbers popped. The defenseless Lord staggered backward under the assault.

While the Lord was distracted up front, Bai Xia—still clinging to its back—kicked off its hunched spine, yanked her dagger free, and leaped nimbly to its shoulder.

The Lord twisted to shake her off—but Bai Xia’s dark-energy blade had already driven down from above.

In reality? A messy end. But this was a game. Blood censorship hid the gore.

Still, headshots meant bonuses: extra damage, plus crit chance. A crimson "CRITICAL!" floated up. The Lord’s health bar visibly plummeted by a full segment.

A jet-black wisp of energy followed the strike, clouding the Lord’s eyes. Sight gone. Awareness gone.

Blind!

Shadowfang Blade had a small proc chance for Blind. The sudden trigger stunned Bai Xia for a heartbeat—then she reacted. She leaped off the thrashing beast.

"Priority: clear the minions!"

Caught mid-air by Tianzheng’s arms, Bai Xia had zero time to wonder if he’d copped a feel. Feet hit ground—she dashed straight for the remaining goblins.

Blind lasted only five seconds. Every tick mattered.

The Archers and Throwers flinched as the pair abandoned the boss and charged. They tried to retreat—but slow, cramped, and now unshielded.

Meanwhile, the Lord stood frozen, wildly swinging its lightning blade at empty air. Unaware its minions were already doomed.

To save time, Bai Xia activated Shadow Step mid-sprint—phasing like a ghost past a Stone Thrower. Dark Harvest teleported her behind it. Backstab combo: three fluid strikes. Ended with a perfect throat slash that critted. Minion down.

Flawless. Even Tianzheng murmured, "Impressive," quietly stunned by her growth.

But he wasn’t slow. The moment Bai Xia nearly one-shot the first minion, he joined her on the next.

These ranged minions had paper-thin HP. Once closed in? Lambs to the slaughter—no cartoon sheep turning the tables here.

By the time the Lord’s vision cleared, four minions were dust. The last teetered on collapse.

It roared, lunging to save them—but Bai Xia and Tianzheng calmly finished the final Archer just as it arrived.

All minions wiped out. The Lord’s already bloodshot eyes flooded crimson. Lightning arcs erupted around it—a fleeting aura of a thunder god descending.

But without those sneaky minions backing it up? Bai Xia felt the pressure vanish. A cold smirk tugged her lips.

No words needed. They turned and charged.

Yet this time, the Lord refused closeness. As Bai Xia rushed in, thick, viscous lightning coiled around its body.

Crackling aura. Damage ticked before contact. Movements slowed.

It raised its greatsword—slammed it down.

*ZZZT!*

A tidal wave of lightning surged outward, matching the blast that first repelled them.

They backtracked fast. Bai Xia, a hair too slow, grazed the edge. Minimal damage—but the shock nearly sent her face-first into dirt. Tianzheng’s hand shot out, yanking her upright.

Before she could thank him—he hurled her straight toward the charging Lord.

"Eh?!"

Eyes wide, Bai Xia watched the blade descend. The Lord had lowered its stance—no ducking this slash.

But Tianzheng accelerated. Silver-white blade shot up. Blocked the greatsword.

Deflected the hit—but concussive force slammed into him.

Bai Xia stomped the ground, launched upward, used the Lord’s frozen blade as a springboard, leaned mid-air, and drove her dagger straight into its bloodshot eye.

"This move’s called… Physical Blind!"
