Watching the two pressed tightly together, Fu Hou’s fair cheeks flushed once more. After a brief stunned pause, shame and indignation surged within her.

“W-What are you two doing?!!!!”

She shouted while covering her eyes, peeking through her fingers at the shameless couple—looking exactly like a curious groundhog. So furious! She’d been so serious, so worried about her aunt, spent so much money to come back… just to catch you flirting with a guy at home?!!!

Leaning against Qin Cheng’s chest, Fu Bai gave a helpless smile. She casually glanced at Fu Hou, then returned her gaze to Qin Cheng—utterly ignoring her. How outrageously dismissive! Qin Cheng didn’t even glance Fu Hou’s way. His eyes stayed locked on Fu Bai, hands resting gently on her waist.

Just as Fu Bai seemed ready to continue the intimate scene, our little sneak finally snapped. Huffing in anger, she dashed between them and shoved them apart.

Ignoring Qin Cheng, Fu Hou glared straight at Fu Bai. “Shameless! Utterly shameless!”

“Ehehe~” Fu Bai playfully stuck out her tongue, her delicate hand resting lazily by her ear like a cat’s paw—trying to cute her way out of trouble.

Fu Hou wasn’t having it. Huffing, she spun toward Qin Cheng. “Hey! I’m talking to you… you…”

“Hm?” Qin Cheng shot her a casual glance.

Under his gaze, Fu Hou instantly shrank back. She lowered her head timidly, eyes darting away. “Y-You… um… long time no see?”

“Long time? Yeah… it really has been.” Qin Cheng smiled gently at her, but a sly, mischievous grin slowly spread across his face.

*Run away from me? Again? Come on—keep running! Weren’t you having fun?*

His smile was handsome, captivating. To Fu Hou, it felt like the devil’s grin.

*Oh no… oh no…*

She shrank back. Cold sweat beaded on her fair forehead. She shook her head slightly, her long single ponytail swaying. In that fleeting moment, she finally grasped the gravity of the situation.

“What’s wrong? Don’t look so scared. Weren’t you laughing happily just moments ago?” Qin Cheng closed in slowly. Each step forward made Fu Hou instinctively retreat—until her back hit the wall. Nowhere left to run. He stood dangerously close.

“W-What are you gonna do?! I-I’m warning you—don’t you dare!”

Slam—

Qin Cheng planted his left hand on the wall opposite her, leaning down to gaze at the flustered little sneak beneath him. His ink-black eyes studied her with quiet amusement. No words. Just watching.

*Huh?!*

The sudden wall slam jolted her heart. His face inches away, her eyes darted helplessly. A rosy blush bloomed across her cheeks—more alluring than ever. Scenarios flashed through her mind. The air thickened with romantic tension. Qin Cheng *was* undeniably handsome; every glance hypnotic, let alone this deliberate flirtation.

“Wow~” A distant, teasing voice added a hint of affection—and a flicker of shame—to the intoxicating moment.

Spurred by the remark, Fu Hou flushed deeper, breathing slightly heavier. She reached out to push him away—but mid-motion, her wrist was caught. Qin Cheng pressed his advantage, leaning closer until his lips hovered by her ear.

“Huff…” His deliberate warm breath brushed her earlobe.

“Mmm…” Overwhelmed, her body went limp. Half-lidded eyes dazed, she slumped weakly against his shoulder.

A faint triumphant smirk curved Qin Cheng’s lips. His arm encircled her slender waist as he turned toward her cherry-red lips.

“N-No… stop…” Dazed and breathless, she gazed up weakly. He ignored her plea.

Just as their lips were about to meet—

A sly smirk suddenly tugged at Fu Hou’s lips.

“Didn’t see *that* coming, did you?! This is my escape route—take two!” Using his shoulders for leverage, she arched back and nimbly flipped over him. In the tight space, she raised her long leg and kicked fiercely downward.

Qin Cheng, fully expecting it, caught her leg effortlessly with one hand, grinning playfully. “Didn’t expect that, huh?”

“Eh?!”

“My turn?” In one swift motion, he flipped the startled Fu Hou against the wall, holding her leg as his hand slid slowly upward. “Go on. Try to run.”
