"Master, can you go any faster?!!!"

"Young lady, I can't! Speed's already maxed—push harder and we might crash. Bad for both of us..."

"Fifty more!!!"

"It's not about money! It's principle..."

"Another fifty!!!"

"You're insulting my profession..."

"Another fifty!!! Please! This is *so* important to me!!!"

"Money? Nah. Your grit moved me. Hang on tight! I was champion of the 76th Mount Akina Cup. Time to shine again!!"

"Drift!!!"

A white blur shot down the street.

Two cool guys tore past in a Wuling Hongguang, weaving with flamboyant, rule-defying flair.

Dust billowed behind it. That Wuling Hongguang was god-tier!

*Whoosh*—gone in a flash. Pedestrians and drivers stared in stunned disbelief.

"T-this Wuling Hongguang... driving so unreal..."

"OMG! OP! I'm dead!"

"True masters really hide among ordinary folks..."

............

"Master, that was awesome! Thanks!"

"Next time fate allows, hop in! My skills are top-notch!"

"Fate'll decide!"

*Damn you, bloodsucker!!!*

Fu Hou leaped from the Wuling Hongguang, silently cursing the driver, then sprinted home at full speed.

*You bastard! Lay one finger on Aunt Bai, and I'll make you pay!!!*

She seethed at Qin Cheng inwardly, wishing she could curse his entire lineage on the spot.

As Fu Hou ran, a little girl in black-and-white school uniform stood at a second-floor window to her left, hesitating over her phone.

Spotting Fu Hou, the girl instantly brightened. Waving urgently yet happily, she shouted, "Sister Fu! Hurry! A strange uncle's standing right there at your door!"

"Got it! Sis loves you!!!"

Fu Hou yelled back without turning, accelerating with lightning speed toward home.

After nearly thirty seconds of all-out sprinting, she reached her house.

"Hah... hah..."

Bent over, hands on knees, she panted heavily. Her top clung slightly damp with sweat, fair skin glistening.

She looked up. A tall figure blocked her doorway.

Sharp black suit, resolute face, eyes closed, hands clasped behind his back—standing like a guardian deity.

Qin Cheng's bodyguard. The one who'd humiliated her repeatedly.

*Damn! It's them! Why does this feel like a boss fight déjà vu?!*

"You big oaf! Move!!"

Fu Hou glared at Lao Biao, fists clenched, voice tight with anger.

Lao Biao slowly opened his eyes, smirked dismissively. "Sure thing, Boss. Moving now!"

He stepped neatly aside, clearing the path with an awkward grin.

Pure "badass expression, cowardly words" energy.

"Y-you're actually moving?!"

Fu Hou braced for a fight—was this a trap?

*Screw it. Inside! Aunt's waiting!*

Shrugging off doubt with a trace of caution, she dashed in.

"Sister Bai!!!"

Back home, Fu Hou scanned frantically. Her amber eyes darted everywhere—but no sign of the familiar figure she saw daily.

*Crash—*

Shattering glass echoed from upstairs.

Fu Hou's eyes widened. Heart lurching, she bolted up the stairs.

"Don't... don't do this..."

She kicked the door open, roaring, "You pervert, let her go! If you've got guts—come at... me... Huh?"

Her furious glare froze.

Her stunning aunt had Qin Cheng pinned against the wall. One hand coquettishly tugged his tie; the strap of her dress slipped slightly off her shoulder. Alluring curves pressed slowly closer.

Their eyes locked, intense.

So, so close.
