“Um, hey? Senior Yuqi, wanna come over to my place today?”
This year, National Day and the Mid-Autumn Festival landed on the same day. Liang Sheng bought a tall stack of mooncakes—red bean paste and sesame, her childhood favorites. Lately, though, she’d fallen for assorted-fillings ones and grabbed another big box.
Gu Yuqi wouldn’t miss this chance to get closer to her junior. She agreed instantly.
Liang Sheng leaped up joyfully—then froze, scanning her bedroom. *Oh no… How can I welcome my goddess into this mess?!*
She dove into the chaos, a room so untidy even a pigsty would blush.
*Ding-dong~*
Sweat dripping, Liang Sheng hung the last shirt and gasped, “C-coming!” She bolted to the door, forgetting her sleepwear, loose hair, dust-smudged cheeks—looking utterly flustered.
“H-happy holidays, Senior Yuqi!” She fumbled the door open. Gu Yuqi’s gentle yet striking face greeted her.
Whoa~ Full recovery! Back to 100%!
*Pfft.* Gu Yuqi’s eyes widened. She burst into a soft laugh.
Liang Sheng squinted, tilted her head, utterly lost.
“Little kitty~” Gu Yuqi pinched the cheek of her junior—half a head shorter. So soft. Perfect texture.
Liang Sheng shivered with a “Mmmph!” *So cold… but… hehe! She pinched my cheek!* Bliss~ Such a loving gesture ♡
Wait—*little kitty*? Oh no! She’d forgotten to wash her face after cleaning. Had she smeared dust all over?
“Wah! Don’t look, Senior Yuqi!” She spun around, covered her face, and crouched like a wilted mushroom.
Gu Yuqi hid a smile, stepped inside, bent down, and ruffled Liang Sheng’s messy hair. “So cute. So *moe*. I love it.”
*Brain.exe has stopped.*
Gu Yuqi patted her head. “Inside, quick. It’s cold—and your sleepwear’s too thin.” She closed the door.
Flushed, Liang Sheng scrambled into the bathroom without looking back. *So… adorably flustered,* Gu Yuqi thought, heart melting.
Soon, a tiny head peeked out. Stammering: “S-senior… w-what… um… filling do you want?” Her face still burned—cold water did nothing.
Gu Yuqi’s chest warmed. She clenched a fist, cleared her throat. “A-anything’s fine.” *Oops. Caught the stutter.*
Liang Sheng hopped to the kitchen. Gu Yuqi leaned against the wall, watching. A cozy warmth bloomed. *Weird… feels like we’ve been an old married couple.*
“Come on, Senior Yuqi—my room!” Liang Sheng took her hand.
So soft. So warm. Gu Yuqi froze. A faint blush rose on her cheeks.
Inside the tidy room, realization dawned. *She cleaned this morning… for me.*
Gu Yuqi sat on the bed, pulled Liang Sheng into her lap, grinning. “So you tidied up *just now*~ Was your room before like a little pig’s nest?”
Flustered, Liang Sheng buried her face in Gu Yuqi’s chest. “D-don’t say it, Senior…”
Gu Yuqi loosened her hold—but Liang Sheng clung tighter, feigning innocence. A tiny push. *Thump!* Gu Yuqi tumbled onto the bed.
Liang Sheng giggled. *Revenge served!*
“Liang Sheng…” Gu Yuqi brushed hair from her eyes, sunshine-bright smile. “Trying to pin me down?”
*Whoosh!* Crimson flooded Liang Sheng’s face. *I… I kinda wanted to… but I’m such a coward!*
*Pfft—HAHA!* Gu Yuqi wiped laughing tears, patted her head. “Off you go, little pig. Let me taste those mooncakes.”
Liang Sheng rolled away, hands covering her burning face, sulking toward the kitchen.
“Any assorted-fillings ones?”
“Yep!” She dashed back, mooncakes in hand.
Mouth full, Gu Yuqi asked softly, “Where’s your family, junior?”
Liang Sheng sighed, flopped onto the bed, staring up. “Ugh… sudden work thing. All gone.”
Gu Yuqi’s lips tightened. *Same with mine.*
She finished the last bite, wiped her hands, leaned on Liang Sheng’s shoulder. “It’s okay. I’m here.”
Warmth bloomed in Liang Sheng’s chest. She smiled goofily.
“Senior Yuqi… having you is the best.”
Gu Yuqi smiled back. *Junior Liang Sheng… having you is the best.*
Evening deepened. They watched a horror film. Liang Sheng—scared but hooked. Gu Yuqi—unshaken, cracking jokes till Liang Sheng forgot fear and giggled.
Still, for *contact*, Liang Sheng faked terror: tiny “eep eep” squeaks, burrowing into Gu Yuqi’s arms, fingers clutching her sleeve.
Post-movie, darkness pressed against the window. Real fear hit. Trembling, Liang Sheng nestled into Gu Yuqi’s embrace. “S-senior… could you… stay tonight?”
Gu Yuqi hadn’t planned to leave—but that pitiful plea? Too cute not to tease.
“Mmm~” She feigned hesitation.
Panic! Liang Sheng hugged her waist, pouting. “Pleeease? Sleep with me?”
*Sleep together?* Unexpected… but nice.
Gu Yuqi rubbed her cheek, voice tender. “Mm.”
Liang Sheng exhaled, giggling “hehe~” like a happy fool.
Late night.
Gu Yuqi lay awake. Liang Sheng beside her, back turned. *Why am I so nervous?* She sighed heavily.
Then—Liang Sheng turned, hugged her, mumbled sleepily, “Go to sleep, senior…”
*(She’s faking. Adorably.)*
Gu Yuqi held her close, forehead resting on hers, breaths mingling.
*Whatever this feeling is… it’s the one that wants a lifetime with her.*
