Chapter 59: A Change in Circumstances

The last time Feng Yijiu went shopping with Zhou Wenyao and the others, she got off halfway through. Today was technically her second shopping trip since becoming a girl.

As for her first outing with Cen Man… Cen Man had probably considered her feelings. They’d kept things brief at the mall and gone straight to the point.

But this time…

Feng Yijiu glanced at her phone. Nearly half an hour had already passed, yet Zhou Wenyao and Qingqing still hadn’t found what they’d planned to buy.

They were currently wandering around a “girls’ general store.” The place was packed with all kinds of dazzling products. To Feng Yijiu, every single one was a fascinating novelty.

There were all sorts of little “brushes,” as well as lip balms, lipsticks, and who knew what else…

Feng Yijiu watched Zhou Wenyao and Qingqing test different lipstick shades. They experimented, compared them, and experimented some more.

But why did all the colors look exactly the same to her?

She didn’t dare ask, nor did she have any interest in joining them. So she could only follow behind them step by step, doing her job as a human coat rack.

“Come here, Yijiu.” Zhou Wenyao suddenly waved at her.

Feng Yijiu had no idea what was happening. She moved closer, only to see Zhou Wenyao holding a tester lipstick and smiling brightly at her.

Feng Yijiu took a slight step back.

“What are you doing? Hold out your hand.” Seeing Feng Yijiu biting her lips tightly, Zhou Wenyao laughed. “We’re only checking the shade. Besides, I think this color would look great on you, Yijiu.”

“But weren’t we supposed to buy something?” Feng Yijiu looked at Zhou Wenyao and Qingqing, who were still full of enthusiasm. Her little face turned bitter.

“Just browse around. We might buy it next time.” Zhou Wenyao said it casually, then recorded the shade she had just swiped across Feng Yijiu’s hand.

By the time they left the store, another ten minutes had passed. The trio had also gained a tiny lipstick in Qingqing’s bag.

Feng Yijiu sighed inwardly. Looking at the long corridor ahead, she suddenly felt utterly powerless.

Fortunately, there was one thing she could be grateful for: the spread of smartphones was an absolute blessing for someone like her.

At least while waiting, she could scroll through her phone and consume some spiritual nourishment to pass the time.

The problem was that whenever she sat outside on the men’s designated bench, some of her “fellow travelers” would glance at her from time to time.

That look in their eyes…

“Done.”

By the time Feng Yijiu had almost put her phone on an IV drip, Zhou Wenyao and Qingqing finally came out.

When Feng Yijiu spotted the extra bag in Qingqing’s hand, she was so moved that she nearly burst into tears.

However, after belatedly following her two friends into the depths of the “lotus flowers,” Feng Yijiu felt as if caterpillars were crawling all over her body.

There was no other reason. Deep inside this women’s clothing section specializing in lingerie, her outfit stood out like a crane among chickens.

Feng Yijiu even felt that if she hadn’t entered with two girls, the passersby around them might have looked at her even more strangely.

Zhou Wenyao kept saying that Feng Yijiu was only imagining things. Even so, Feng Yijiu consciously removed her trench coat and draped it over her arm.

Her outfit was still somewhat androgynous, but at least now she could be identified as one of the countless women around them.

Qingqing and Zhou Wenyao seemed familiar with this place. They pulled Feng Yijiu into a fairly large store.

When she saw the countless varieties of cute little things hanging on the walls, sitting on the shelves, and displayed on the racks, Feng Yijiu felt her face burning.

For one brief moment, she instinctively closed her eyes like a proper gentleman.

See no evil.

A salesgirl pulled Zhou Wenyao away to measure her size. Meanwhile, another salesgirl approached Qingqing, seemingly hoping to squeeze out a little more profit.

When she looked at Qingqing, a trace of disappointment appeared on her face.

But when she turned her gaze to Feng Yijiu, her eyes seemed to flash with two barely perceptible rays of gold.

As the salesgirl walked toward her, Feng Yijiu instinctively retreated a few steps.

The salesgirl still caught up with her.

“Is this your first time picking out lingerie, little sister?”

“I… I’m not. I didn’t. I-I’m just here with my classmate.” Feng Yijiu stared at the salesgirl, who had somehow found a customer in her.

If this were an anime, there would probably be a waterfall of sweat pouring down from her head.

The salesgirl smiled. Seeing Feng Yijiu’s panic, she wore an understanding expression.

“It’s all right. Big Sis can help you choose something. Besides, the lingerie you’re wearing looks a little small. Is it digging into your flesh?”

Feng Yijiu froze.

Could this salesgirl actually possess the legendary ability to see through things?

When the salesgirl pulled her farther inside, Feng Yijiu was still dazed from thinking about that question.

But when she saw the salesgirl somehow produce a roll of soft measuring tape, Feng Yijiu finally began to panic.

Nope. Absolutely not.

As long as she didn’t get measured, her chest remained in a Schrödinger-like state. It both existed and didn’t exist.

Then, through precise analysis involving psychology, mind-reading, microexpression analysis, and **’s postpartum care, she technically didn’t belong to the boob-having population!

Feng Yijiu hugged her chest with both hands, looking as horrified as a rabbit.

Then she turned around and saw Zhou Wenyao staring at her with a slightly puzzled expression.

Feng Yijiu instantly deflated. She obediently lowered her hands, looking like the tower was still standing.

The salesgirl lightly covered her mouth, then pulled the now-docile Feng Yijiu into an empty fitting room.

“Come on. Try to exhale as much as possible…”

——— This is the measuring-break divider. ———

After getting dressed and walking out, Feng Yijiu’s face was still flushed.

Her lips kept murmuring, “Nine point seven… nine point seven…” She looked as if she’d been thoroughly broken.

It was still very small, but it truly existed.

Feng Yijiu hardly dared imagine what would happen if it expanded at an average rate of five centimeters per month.

Wouldn’t that mean…

“It’s normal. This is normal.” Feng Yijiu consoled herself inwardly.

After all, her body had become a girl’s body. So having the tiniest bit of a bump on her chest was perfectly normal, right?

A normal physiological phenomenon. Totally understandable.

Besides, Qingqing was a genuine, born-and-raised girl, and she was only around this level herself.

Feng Yijiu comforted herself. There was no way this factory-returned product could beat Qingqing, an original model, right?

Thinking that, she felt much better.

This was her limit!

Feng Yijiu issued herself a diagnosis in her heart.
