Su Yue pushed open the bedroom door.

In the living room, Lucifer sat on the sofa, watching TV absent-mindedly. The moment she spotted Su Yue, the haze in her eyes cleared, replaced by sudden warmth.

“Little Su Yue, are you okay?”

Lucifer hurried over and asked softly.

“I’m fine.”

Su Yue answered with a bright, genuine smile.

“Wuwu… I’m so sorry, Little Su Yue. I shouldn’t have told Brother Chen Yan those things. I thought you’d hate me…”

“It’s alright.” Seeing the worry etched on Fei’er’s face, Su Yue stepped forward and hugged her gently. “Fei’er is my best friend in this whole world.”

And it was true—Su Yue had only one friend here.

“Little Su Yue, you’re literally an angel!”

Lucifer pulled her into a tight, emotional hug.

“Easy, easy! I’m gonna die!”

Su Yue patted Lucifer’s back urgently. The girl’s affection felt wonderful—but also dangerously suffocating.

“Cough, cough… Fei’er, you nearly murdered your best friend…”

Su Yue broke free, coughing dramatically.

“Ehe~”

“…”

“Anyway—where’s Master?” Su Yue glanced around the living room. No Chen Yan.

“In the kitchen! He said Little Su Yue needed comfort food.” Lucifer pointed to the frosted glass sliding door. A blurred figure moved busily behind it.

“I’ll go help.”

“Me too!”

“Guests sit still.” Su Yue nudged Lucifer back onto the sofa, tapped her forehead lightly, and walked to the kitchen door.

The Little Vampire eased the door open, peeking her silver head inside. The man at the stove turned. Surprise flickered in his eyes.

“Su Yue… you’re alright?”

Worry softened Chen Yan’s features. He wanted to say more—but settled for that.

*The contract was signed without her knowing. Is her kindness just the contract’s effect? Am I selfishly chaining her future to me… restricting her freedom? Is this life even what she wants?*

From her hesitant actions today, he’d sensed her conflict: longing to draw near, yet afraid to.

*If she says she wants to leave… what then? Would I follow her?*

“Master~”

A soft, sweet voice cut through his thoughts.

“S-Su Yue?”

Chen Yan blinked back to reality. There she stood—silver-haired, eyes lifted to his, gentle and expectant.

She’d used that voice on purpose. To reassure him.

*I like you. I trust you. I choose you as my Master. I want to be close to you.*

Her smile held no doubt. Her eyes, pure sincerity.

He reached out—then froze. Wet, soapy hands. Not fit to touch her.

Su Yue’s eyes crinkled with quiet amusement. She stepped forward and hugged him first.

“Su Yue…”

Flustered, he channeled magic—drying his palms in a breath—then wrapped his arms gently around her.

Feeling his embrace, Su Yue smiled and nuzzled her cheek against his chest.

A sharp warmth stirred low in Chen Yan’s gut. *Who could resist this?*

The Little Vampire felt the firm heat pressing her abdomen. Having lived as a boy once, she knew exactly what it was. A blush bloomed on her cheeks—but a tiny, happy flutter danced in her heart.

*Until I find the contract-breaking materials… I’ll cherish this.*

She arched her waist slightly, pressing her soft stomach more deliberately against “little Chen Yan.”

“Su Yue?”

“Is the *little* master comfortable?” She tilted her head up, eyes sparkling with mischief.

“Why add ‘little’…?”

“Because it’s true~ I’m not asking about *you*, Master… but the *little* master.” A teasing grin played on her lips.

Chen Yan chuckled, ruffling her hair. He leaned close, whispering by her ear:

“He’s comfortable… but Little Su Yue has places that could make him *even* happier, don’t you think?”

“Th-that place is… impossible! At least… for now…”

One sentence flipped the script. Crimson flooded Su Yue’s face to the ears.

“Since I won’t devour you *right now*, be a good girl. Some words aren’t for well-behaved little vampires.”

“Come help me finish dinner for our guest.”

“Mm… okay.”

The Little Vampire nodded calmly, hiding her racing heartbeat.

*Soon I’ll stand behind her, guide her hands while stir-frying…* Chen Yan thought, smiling inwardly. *Yay.*

*Soon he’ll stand behind me, hold my hands… I’ll lean back gently for the finishing move…* Su Yue thought, heart fluttering. *Yay.*

Meanwhile, in the living room—

A head peeked over the sofa back.

Lucifer watched the kitchen scene, a blissful, matchmaking smile spreading across her face. She nodded happily, utterly shipping them.

Before long, thanks to Su Yue and Chen Yan’s efforts, a table steamed with fragrant dishes.

With Chen Yan’s permission, Lucifer invited her master, Lin You. The four gathered around the table.

“Su Yue, try this beef.”

Chen Yan placed a slice in her bowl. She ate it in one bite.

The Little Vampire mimicked him—picked up a pan-fried pork belly slice, cupped her palm beneath it, and offered it carefully.

“Master… ahh~”

Chen Yan opened his mouth with a tender smile.

“Ugh, when will *my* Fei’er be this sweet?” Lin You nudged Lucifer with a sigh.

“Hmph! Master… ahh~”

Lucifer shoved a half-eaten drumstick straight toward his mouth.
