The ferociously cute Vampire Princess squirmed fiercely in his arms.

Chen Yan gently stroked her head. “There, there. No bad woman exists. Little Su Yue, don’t be afraid.”

He had no clue what “bad woman” meant—but for now, he’d play along.

Perhaps it was the comforting warmth of her master’s embrace. Perhaps his soothing words truly worked. Su Yue’s struggles softened, little by little.

“What happened?” Chen Yan asked Lucifer, who stood perfectly composed, while the Little Vampire in his arms slowly stilled.

“W-well… it’s just…” Lucifer recounted everything—her earlier explanation, Su Yue’s reactions. At key moments, Su Yue squirmed slightly in Chen Yan’s hold, but couldn’t escape. Finally, she gave up and buried her face in his chest.

“I see.”

Chen Yan felt amused and exasperated. Su Yue had gotten jealous over a few words—over a “bad woman” who didn’t even exist.

“Su Yue?”

He gently patted the Vampire Princess’s head. A soft whimper answered him; she buried her face deeper.

Noticing her shyness, Chen Yan lightly patted her back. “Fei’er, could you wait in the living room? I’d like a moment alone with Su Yue.”

Lucifer nodded obediently, stepped carefully past him, left the room, and quietly closed the door.

Silence settled over the spacious girl’s bedroom. Only the Little Vampire and her master remained.

Su Yue kept her face pressed to Chen Yan’s chest, warmth flooding her, too shy to lift her head.

“Su Yue. Just us now. Will you look up?” Chen Yan murmured, watching her neck and ears flush crimson.

“Why did Master come back so suddenly?” she mumbled into his shirt, voice muffled.

*If he hadn’t… I wouldn’t be this embarrassed. Letting him know I got jealous…* Unaware, she’d already slipped into calling him “Master.”

Chen Yan assumed it was from their Enforcement Squad agreement. Touched by her obedience, he stroked her hair again.

“The photo you sent was incredibly cute. I couldn’t wait—I had to see little Su Yue right away,” he whispered near her ear.

“Mmm…”

Her hidden face burned hotter. Her small hands tightened on his shirt. Happiness swelled in her chest.

Slowly, she lifted her head. Shy eyes hesitated a moment before meeting his gentle gaze.

“Su Yue, I—”

“Could… could Master step out for a moment?” she pleaded softly, giving his chest a tiny push.

Seeing the genuine plea in the Little Vampire’s eyes—and the emotion beneath it—Chen Yan nodded.

He loosened his hold, stepped out, and left her space.

Alone, Su Yue flung herself onto the princess-style bed, buried deep under the blankets, curled tight.

Her mind tangled. *How do I explain what I just did?*

“Do I… actually like Master?”

Obvious. Just the thought of another woman near him sent a sharp ache through her chest. After all, the Little Vampire’s possessiveness ran deep.

“I was a man before… Three days? Five?” She counted on her fingers. Seven days in this world. Exactly one week as a girl.

“Falling into ‘ci duo’ so fast…”

Under the covers, she covered her burning face. Her study archives held stories: boys conquered by men, transformed souls falling for their saviors, girls who tasted womanhood and never looked back.

She recalled the contract night. Yesterday’s bath. *Was that… what being a girl feels like?*

So sweet. She wished it would never end.

If even self-touch felt that thrilling… what if *he*…?

“Ugh—now my head’s full of Master again!”

Every thought of him brought warmth. She’d refused to admit it: her body was learning to rely on him.

“Why am I like this?” She emerged from the blankets, bewildered by how quickly she’d changed.

“Is it… the contract?”

Her fingers brushed her fangs. *Comprehensive Guide to Non-Human Races* said vampires instinctively favored the one who gave their first blood. Was this feeling just magic?

But he’d saved her. When she first arrived—trampled by Paranormal Bureau agents, shivering in a cold alley, near death from blood loss—he was the first to show kindness. Even if it was just plucking a leaf from her hair.

After the contract, he’d indulged her whims. Playfully mischievous sometimes, but rarely refusing her. Even the contract itself was a misunderstanding—he’d never sought to own her.

Su Yue felt lost. Contract-born? Or truly hers?

One truth remained: this heart no longer beat for herself alone. Her emotions were tethered to him.

“I must… break the contract.”

“I need to know if these feelings are real.”

She steeled her resolve.

In the life before her last, she’d been an otaku who died alone, never knowing love. In her previous life, the “Little White Immortal Sovereign,” secluded for 2,500 years.

No closeness. No care. No one to hold her dear.

Now—suddenly a girl, suddenly feeling for a mortal—once she saw her heart clearly, she wouldn’t let go.

But the feeling had to be true.

“Before I break the contract…”

Just a little longer… let me indulge in these feelings awhile.
