Xiao Feng had no idea that the seemingly gentle, poised young lady before him hid a stubborn heart.

He was still planning to sidestep the school issue later and dissuade Situ Changxi from attending the same campus.

Had he known her true personality, he wouldn’t have felt so at ease.

Across the street from Tianjing Water Park—

“Damn, what’s Xiao Feng’s deal? It’s already 2 PM and he’s not at Yiding Internet Cafe yet?”

Li Wei adjusted his ridiculously flashy sunglasses, sipping iced milk tea under the scorching sun while grumbling.

With those shades on, he was drop-dead handsome—girls kept stopping to stare, some even snapping secret photos. Pure swagger.

He paid them no mind. *Being this handsome is practically a crime*, he mused.

Normally, Xiao Feng would’ve been waiting right there. The two shared that unspoken bro-code intuition.

But today was different: Situ Changxi’s sudden invitation made Xiao Feng forget to text Li Wei he’d be late.

Now Li Wei sat under the cafe’s sunshade, stool brought by the waitress—*just for him*, of course.

For anyone else? Nah. But Li Wei? *He’s handsome!*

And honestly, the waitress didn’t mind. Watching a handsome guy all shift? Kinda a perk.

Just as Li Wei contentedly sipped his tea, he glanced up—and froze at the familiar stretch limo across the street.

At first, nothing. Then the door opened.

Slowly, he took off his sunglasses, rubbed his eyes. *No way.* Xiao Feng… and Situ Changxi?

“That bastard! Ditching his bro to chase girls? I skipped my date to game with *you*?!”

He sucked hard on the straw—but the tea suddenly tasted flat.

With a sigh, he tossed the cup, pulled out his phone, and dialed.

*Ring… ring…* Answered.

“Hello? Li Wei, what’s up?”

Li Wei glared straight across the street. “Son, what the hell are you up to?”

Xiao Feng blinked, chuckled, and stepped aside with an apologetic glance at Situ Changxi.

“Like hell! I’m right at Tianjing Water Park’s gate!”

“Not hiding anything from me?”

“Screw you! ‘Hiding’? I’m not into guys!”

Li Wei snorted, then laughed. “Haha, not *that*! Do you even know what time it is?”

“What’s wrong? You need something?”

Li Wei’s tone turned teasing. “Nah… just feels like you’re chasing girls behind my back.”

“Chasing? Hell no! Do I look like that type?”

Li Wei smirked, nodding toward Situ Changxi by the car. “Hmph. ‘Innocent’ my foot—you’re smoother than me!”

Xiao Feng frowned. “Li Wei, why so sarcastic? Spit it out—I hate beating around the bush.”

“OJBK. Look across the street. See that handsome guy under Yiding Internet Cafe? *Who is he?*"

Xiao Feng turned—and locked eyes with Li Wei.

Li Wei barked into the phone: “You bastard! Ditching your bro for a girl?! I skipped my girlfriend for *you*!”

He took a deep breath, dead serious: “If you don’t cover today’s cafe fees… our brotherhood fades.”

Xiao Feng laughed. “Damn! Be real—you just wanted me to pay, huh?”

Li Wei cracked, grinning. “Hurry up! Bring your rich-girl friend too. My heart’s sour as pickled cabbage, vinegar, and lemon tea right now.”

“Get lost! Situ Changxi’s *not* my girlfriend—stop spreading rumors!”

Xiao Feng laughed it off, unaware Situ Changxi had heard *everything*—speakerphone still on.

Her cheeks burned crimson. Fidgeting slightly, eyes downcast, she looked like a flustered little rabbit—nervous, shy… utterly adorable.
