At the entrance of an internet cafe—
"I *told* you it was the team’s fault! I’m support and still got tons of kills, but we lost anyway. How am I supposed to play when everyone’s hiding behind me?"
Xiao Feng stared at Li Wei—utterly shameless—and felt completely speechless.
"You’re the one snatching kills like a pro! Playing support but too scared to step up? You expect *me*, the ADC, to carry you while dealing damage? Seriously?"
Li Wei bristled instantly. "Didn’t our whole team wipe last time *saving you*? I yelled there were four guys in the bush—why’d you charge in?!"
Xiao Feng shot back, annoyed: "Don’t I have pride? How dare they take *our* Red Buff? I can die, but that Red Buff is *mine*—it’s the ADC’s dignity!"
Yeah, these two always blamed each other after messing up. If not each other, then the teammates. Someone *had* to take the fall—it was their gaming ritual.
Just as their bickering peaked, a stretch Lincoln parked at Tianjing Water Park’s gate caught their eyes.
Li Wei nudged Xiao Feng. "Hey—see that stretch Lincoln? Same one from yesterday!"
Xiao Feng had already spotted it. "Do I look blind? If *you* see it, of course I do."
"Tch. Just worried your cataracts were acting up. Why snap at me?" Li Wei grumbled.
Xiao Feng’s irritation spiked. "You’ve got cataracts! Need some aluminum hydroxide eye drops?"
Before another verbal clash erupted, the Lincoln’s door opened. Two sharp-suited, sunglasses-wearing men stepped out, then a silver-haired loli in a beige dress emerged.
The moment Situ Changxi appeared, both froze.
Li Wei—stunned by her beauty.
Xiao Feng—startled by her presence.
Xiao Feng snapped out of it fast. Pretending not to see her, he yanked the dazed Li Wei away. "C’mon! It’s almost noon. Starving here!"
Li Wei blinked, confused. "Dude, this isn’t you! That cute silver-haired mixed-race loli? The rich one with two bodyguards I mentioned?!"
"Move! I’ll explain later!" Xiao Feng tugged harder, heart pounding. *Just don’t get seen. Don’t get dragged in again.*
Li Wei suddenly patted his shoulder, thrilled. "Hey hey hey! She’s walking *this* way! Must’ve seen my handsome face and gotten smitten! Don’t run—watch me charm this rich girl!"
Xiao Feng stiffened. Awkwardly, he turned, forcing a professional smile at Situ Changxi approaching with her two fierce bodyguards. *She saw me. Running now would be rude.*
Situ Changxi smiled back—charmingly.
Li Wei, misreading it entirely, beamed and straightened his shirt.
Xiao Feng ignored him, sighing inwardly as Situ Changxi drew closer.
"Xiao Feng," her voice reached them first, "I thought you wouldn’t come to Tianjing Water Park today?"
Hearing the faint displeasure, Xiao Feng smiled wryly. *Wanted to avoid her… but no escape now.*
Li Wei’s jaw dropped. *Wait—Xiao Feng knows her?!* He shot Xiao Feng a "WHAT IS HAPPENING?!" look.
Xiao Feng just muttered, "You’ll see."
Situ Changxi stepped around Li Wei, puffed her delicate cheeks, and glared up at Xiao Feng. "Why didn’t you add me on WeChat? I sent *countless* requests. Waited all day!"
Xiao Feng’s fingers twitched—*so pinchable*—but the bodyguards’ icy stares killed the urge. *Yeah… no.*
"I… I forgot to check my phone. Y-you believe me?" His own lie sounded pathetic.
Situ Changxi bowed slightly. "If my two bodyguards’ rudeness yesterday upset you… I apologize. I just wanted to be friends."
Behind her, the bodyguards glared daggers at Xiao Feng. One wrong word, and he’d be on the ground. Only Situ Changxi’s strict orders held them back.
Li Wei stood frozen, mind racing: *Holy crap! When did Xiao Feng snag a rich loli this cute?! She’s making the move… and sliding into his DMs?!*
