Chapter 43: Shred Them, Bai Xue!

"This place is simply..."

Lin Zhong couldn’t even describe what he was seeing. Compared to those horror-themed Dungeon Instances, this one made him far more uneasy.

His companions were all unsettled. Lilianne’s pretty face turned pale. Aester suppressed the urge to vomit. Charlotte had already thrown up. Su Han just shook her head.

Thankfully, Sebastian remained calm.

But this spot was a million times filthier than a normal ruin. A nauseating stench hung thick in the air. The ground was littered with trash and half-eaten scraps. Piles of excrement lay scattered everywhere.

Liang Feifan might not mind staying here, but Brother Feifan wasn’t around anyway.

Rainwater and urine had mixed into yellowish puddles. With no drainage, the water soaked their shoe heels.

Nearby, homeless men roamed. The clothed ones were practically nobles here. Some were fully naked, their privates exposed to the air.

No women were around—only men. The sight made you want to vomit, especially with some covered in oozing sores.

"Watch out!"

A voice came from behind Lin Zhong—Lilianne’s. But she was too late. Filthy hands had already grabbed his arms.

"Come quick—it’s a woman!"

A low, raspy voice hissed behind him. The stench choked Lin Zhong, stealing his breath.

"Really a woman! And a fine catch."

More voices rose from the ruins. Men who’d been lying down stood up. Some started unbuckling their pants.

"Tear them apart, Snow White!"

"Awooo!!!"

At Lin Zhong’s shout, a massive howl echoed behind him. Snow White leaped down. Her small, cute body rapidly swelled.

She shifted from four legs to two. The tiny wolf pup that once perched on Lin Zhong’s shoulder became a giant monster, six or seven stories tall.

Snow White—no, the invincible White Wolf King now. She seized the man who’d grabbed Lin Zhong.

"Crunch!"

The vagrant who’d held Lin Zhong’s arm crumpled like a fragile ant. A light squeeze shattered him into pieces.

Snow White disdainfully tossed the corpse at the others’ feet.

"Who gave you permission to touch mine?"

Lin Zhong stared down at the mangled body. He didn’t move. The White Wolf King was already in motion.

Her huge frame didn’t slow her a bit.

Werewolf-like agility flashed through her. In an instant, she stood before the pants-dropping vagrants.

Sharp claws shot from her hands. One casual swipe turned every approaching thug into a corpse.

So strong!

Everyone except Alice could only think that. The White Wolf King’s power was beyond "terrifying."

Alice knew her strength well—the invincible White Wolf King who’d once made both her and Lin Zhong despair.

"Awooo!!!"

A howl erupted from the White Wolf King, shaking the entire area.

"Come back."

Lin Zhong’s soft voice cut through. The giant wolf crawled toward him, shrinking back to tiny Snow White.

"Good girl~"

Lin Zhong gently patted Snow White’s head and settled her on his shoulder.

"Your pet is..."

Lilianne pointed in shock at the ‘Husky’ on his shoulder. What was this? A pet with a Supernatural Ability?

She couldn’t think of another reason. Espers were rare, born only after that century-old event. Supernatural Abilities were innate—no acquired ones. So was this a dog born with power?

"S-rank team Dungeon Instance reward. Exclusive White Wolf King attribute."

Lin Zhong stroked the little head. Snow White happily accepted her owner’s caress.

"Wait! I didn’t know about a pet system. And Exclusives only come from enrollment—who gives pets?"

As a collector, Lilianne knew items and weapons inside out. But this wasn’t a game—no pet system existed. Exclusive Weapons were only granted at enrollment. How could there be an exclusive pet?

"Beats me~"

Lin Zhong looked innocent. He didn’t know why he had an exclusive item either. The White Wolf King wasn’t a pet—she was an item.

It was weird calling a living being an item. There were summoning items, like the Cthulhu’s Call he’d tossed to Charlotte.

But the White Wolf King wasn’t a summon. She was a living being, fully bound to Lin Zhong.

"This..."

"Let’s discuss the Dungeon Instance first. The enemies here are humans."

Lin Zhong dodged the topic, tired of Lilianne’s curious stare.

"Humans?"

Aester frowned. Lin Zhong—or Snow White—had just massacred humans. Those men were vile, but seeing killings firsthand unsettled them.

"This Dungeon Instance is called Land Without Law, right? No laws mean everyone here is a criminal. So the Monsters are humans."

Lin Zhong nodded. This was the Land Without Law Dungeon Instance. Logically, only Monsters should exist inside. Since humans were here, they must be the Monsters.

"Criminals? Kill them anyway."

Su Han gripped her gun, her mood foul. That criminal had dared to touch her Lin Zhong—they all deserved to die.

"Exactly. Kill that trash."
