11. Vicky's Resolve

"He’s clearly a boy, yet radiates an irresistible allure," Tina murmured. "Sometimes I even wonder if you’re an incubus."

*An incubus?* He swallowed hard. *Don’t lump me with those lowly darkspawn filth.* Being pinned down like this filled him with utter humiliation.

"Don’t worry," she purred, "I’ll cherish you *very* well."

Sky Qi frowned. Something about those words felt deeply off—like they shouldn’t spill from a girl’s lips at all…

*If this were a matter of tops and bottoms,* he thought grimly, *I’d definitely be the bottom.*

After futile struggles, Sky Qi stopped resisting. He lay still on the bed, gazing up at Tina with deep, unwavering eyes.

"How boring," Tina pouted, surprised by his calm. "Ruining you holds no fun this way."

*Wait—did she just say ‘ruining’?!* If his mouth weren’t gagged, he’d have screamed curses.

Vicky pressed silently against the door, listening. Fallen Bloodline guards littered the hallway, crimson lines slashed across their necks, eyes wide with terror even in death.

*Why the sudden silence?* She’d slipped in right after Tina entered, straining to hear voices inside.

That tone… it sounded like *training* someone. Was *that* the anticipation glittering in Tina’s eyes?

*I have to see.*

First—how to enter? Knock softly as a subordinate? Blast the door open and charge in? Or slip through the window with an elegant landing?

*Why am I even worrying about this?!* Her mind churned in chaos, thoughts tangled beyond reason.

***Sword Wind Art!***

Channeling mana into her blade, she slashed. A vacuum-splitting sword wave tore the door apart—and carved a deep gash into the wall behind it.

The force overturned the ornate round table at the room’s center. Crystal chandeliers overhead swayed violently, candlelight flickering wildly in the gust, nearly extinguished.

Vicky froze.

Tina straddled Sky Qi’s waist, gripping the chain of his collar like a leash. She kissed his lips, ignoring his muffled protests.

"Hmm… seems a pest has come to interrupt us," Tina chided, shooting Sky Qi a playful glare. "Popular, aren’t you?"

*She’s forcing him?!* Vicky’s silver irises widened in disbelief. *This tramples human dignity! Unforgivable.*

Killing intent flashed in her eyes.

*Vicky?* Sky Qi’s heart leapt—then sank. *She’s William’s ally… here to kill me.*

Still, he prayed she’d defeat Tina. *Let her end me. I can’t bear this shame.* As Continent Strongest, he knew the creed: *Better to die with honor than live in shame.*

"Defeat her! Then kill me!" Sky Qi roared, pinning all hope on Vicky. He tried to rise, but Tina slammed him back down. She wound the collar chain around the bedpost, knotting it tight.

*I won’t kill you. I’ll save you.* Vicky steeled her resolve.

"You darkspawn filth," Sky Qi spat, "your fate will end one day." His mouth was gagged again, his eyes blindfolded. He writhed on the bed like a beached fish.

"I *loathe* interruptions," Tina said coldly. "Choose your death."

Armored head-to-toe in silver, Vicky stood motionless before her. Her sword hand trembled—not from fear, but fury.

"No answer? I’ll pry it from you with my blade," Tina sneered. The dagger *Bloodkiss* materialized in her palm.

Vicky’s gaze stayed icy. No words. Only waiting—for the moment Tina closed in. One strike would end her.

Her sword was simply named *Silver Sword*. She adored silver: her hair, her pale irises, even her armor gleamed with it. Silver gave her strength.

Until she met Sky Qi. Then she learned to love other colors. That lazy-looking boy held terrifying power—the strongest human she’d ever seen.

He never boasted, though he often joked about his strength. She never doubted him—he always delivered.

Granddaughter of Cassius Academy’s headmaster, Vicky rejected her privileged upbringing. She craved strength. Purpose. To serve the human race.

She wanted her own life. Her own strange love story. So she left comfort behind, donned armor, and marched toward her destiny.

Her first team died in battle—all but her. War numbed her. Then she joined the Sacred Knight Heroic Corps. A month later, Captain William sought a partner:

Sky Qi. The legendary Continent Strongest.

She’d expected a sage-like elder or a mysterious hermit. Instead—a clear-faced youth, barely older than her.

*How could someone so young hold that title?* Her pride stung with disbelief.

She’d braced for arrogance. Instead, he was gentle. Kind. Vital to the team. Pay him enough to survive, and he’d do anything.

Unlike nobles, he never wielded his title as a weapon. Not humble, perhaps—but remarkable for his age.

Through missions, she saw his true self: protective of comrades, always taking rear guard or spearheading charges. Never complaining.

For the first time, she felt this pull. He haunted her dreams. She’d remove her helmet, hiding a flushed face—*Was I falling for him?*

Then everything shattered. William’s ambition poisoned their unity. Their mission? To assassinate Sky Qi.

She knew nothing until it was too late. Now he lived—but suffered this Vampire Princess’s shame.

*No.* Her faith—humanity’s faith—would not be defiled. The woman who tarnished her beloved would pay. In blood.
