Zhou Zhiyi had wanted to ask her name too, but he felt it might seem like he was helping her for a reason—which he actually was—and that felt a bit off.

Now that she’d volunteered it, it saved him the trouble.

"I’m Zhou Zhiyi from Class 4, Grade 11," Zhou Zhiyi said, sticking his fork into the freshly prepared instant noodles. "And no need for such a solemn oath. Honestly, you don’t have to pay me back. Helping a pretty girl like you is my honor."

"Th-this won’t do!"

A flush crept up Chu Hui’s pretty face, making her look even cuter than before.

"Hey, why aren’t you happy about not having to pay me back?"

"It just won’t do!"

Hopeless. This girl was beyond saving.

Zhou Zhiyi facepalmed, paused for a moment, then said, "Alright then. Just remember to pay me back later."

That was the only way, he supposed.

"Mm."

Chu Hui nodded contentedly, like a little animal getting fed by its owner.

"Let’s go chat on the seats around the playground."

Zhou Zhiyi walked out of the convenience store with his instant noodles, adding as he went.

Hearing that, Chu Hui followed, hugging her pile of snacks.

Seriously, which pretty girl eats this much? Isn’t she afraid of gaining weight? Zhou Zhiyi wondered as he walked, but fearing his noodles might spill, he decided to ponder it later when they sat down.

Many classes had already marched in the opening ceremony on the playground, but all were lower grades since the parade was ordered from lower to higher grades.

So, it should be a while before Zhou Zhiyi’s Class 4, but Class 4 seemed to have disappeared for rehearsal somewhere.

Naturally, Chu Hui’s class was the same.

Admittedly, the two of them sitting there looked quite a pair.

Zhou Zhiyi thought so too, but the idea of them becoming a couple was highly unlikely.

"Why aren’t you in the opening ceremony?" Zhou Zhiyi took a bite of his noodles and asked curiously.

"I have a fever. Otherwise, I’d be participating in quite a few events."

"What a coincidence."

"You too?"

"I’m quite skilled in sports."

In truth, he had no such skills; his athletic prowess was just a setting given by the Rascal Lolita God. Naturally, Zhou Zhiyi couldn’t tell Chu Hui that, so he said it with exaggerated flair.

"But I can’t tell you have a fever," Zhou Zhiyi smiled. "You look quite lively."

"Aren’t you the same?" Chu Hui said while munching on snacks. "I’m trying hard to act like nothing’s wrong."

Even more coincidental. Zhou Zhiyi thought inwardly, then asked, "Then why not go home to rest?"

"I feel like if I miss this school sports meet, I’ll regret it later."

"Why?"

"It’s just a feeling. A woman’s intuition is usually spot on," Chu Hui said somewhat petulantly. "And maybe I have a strong sense of collective honor."

Collective honor? Hearing that word, Zhou Zhiyi suddenly thought of Liu Muyu. Could it be that she’s competing for that so-called collective honor too? Zhou Zhiyi shook his head. It was possible, but unlikely.

"Girls who eat snacks gain weight." At a loss for small talk, Zhou Zhiyi glanced at Chu Hui and said.

"Says the boy who thinks he won’t gain weight from snacks," Chu Hui smiled wryly. "Besides, you’re eating instant noodles right now—you have no right to say that."

"I guess you’re right."

"Is there anything special about your class’s opening ceremony?"

"I think there are two pretty students from class acting as cosplayers leading the way. Nothing special."

"I think it sounds interesting!"

"What’s interesting about that? It’s all the same old routine," Zhou Zhiyi said casually. "What about your class?"

"You’ll see soon enough."

"Hey, that’s not fair!"

"The weather is really nice today, huh?"

Seriously, do people still use that trick?

"Look, your class is coming out!"

Chu Hui suddenly gulped down a chip, grabbed Zhou Zhiyi’s hand with her left, and shouted, not looking ladylike at all.

Zhou Zhiyi looked in the direction Chu Hui’s right hand pointed, and sure enough, two cosplayers stood at the front of his class.

One was Qin Huan, and the other was...

Wait...

What the heck is this!

Isn’t that Wu Feng!
