A tall man in a long trench coat, with a horrifying face, strode toward Lin Ye and the others.
"Vice Principal!" Ling Ling exclaimed in surprise.
"Ling Ling, don't think you can act recklessly just because you're Student Council President! Get back to work now!" the Vice Principal roared.
"But...." Ling Ling stared at Lin Ye and the others, at a loss for words.
"Go!" the Vice Principal bellowed even louder.
"Yes—" Ling Ling reluctantly headed toward the Student Council office.
Lin Ye and Nan Ling stood frozen. The fearless Ling Ling, who never backed down from anything, had actually cowered. Who on earth was this Vice Principal?
"Lin Ye, Nan Ling—you two stand here for an hour before leaving! And Nan Ling, what the hell were you thinking, activating your Bloodline form for no reason? Do you really believe your father can fix everything? Do you know how much effort Nan Jue put into getting you into this academy? Do you want to betray his trust?" the Vice Principal thundered.
"Yes!" I replied with Nan Ling, bowing deeply.
"And don't you dare pull any shameless stunts here! This is a school, not your home. Try it, and—" The Vice Principal radiated an aura so crushing it choked Nan Ling and me as he glared.
"Yes!" Nan Ling and I answered, sweating coldly.
"Hmph!" With that, the Vice Principal turned and strode away without a glance back.
"So scary, so scary! Ye Ye, how can such a terrifying human even exist?" Nan Ling whispered fearfully.
"Y-yes, so scary," I stammered, trembling.
Just then, the Vice Principal—who hadn't gone far—whirled around, fixing us with hellish eyes.
"Sorry, sorry, sorry! We won't dare again, please forgive us!" Nan Ling and I blurted out simultaneously.
Maybe it was my imagination, but the Vice Principal walked off with a trace of loneliness.
"Hey, Nan Ling—who is this Vice Principal? That aura was insane!" I asked.
"Hmm? His name's Ye Chen! Everyone calls him Boss Ye. And call me Ling Ling—can we be boyfriend and girlfriend?" Nan Ling chirped.
"Well... why do you want my blood?" I asked doubtfully.
"Of course I love Ye Ye! So I adore Ye Ye's blood most of all!" Nan Ling declared, though her voice wavered slightly.
Watching her, I knew Nan Ling and Ling Ling were hiding something. But I wasn't one to pry, so I let it slide.
"Then... what do you like about me?" I asked curiously.
"Ye Ye's blood, skin, organs, voice—every single part! Ling Ling loves them all the most, the very most!" Nan Ling gushed, hugging herself tightly.
Hearing that, I was certain: Nan Ling was a yandere, just like her sister. Two yanderes under one roof meant bloodshed. Hell, even if she were normal, it'd end badly. After a pause, I spoke.
"I'm sorry. I can't be your boyfriend."
"Why? Ye Ye, don't you love me? It's that sow, isn't it? Yes—sows should just be slaughtered. It's only natural!" Nan Ling's face twisted into a broken smile as she spat the words.
"No! You can't hurt my sister—she might be my only family!" I insisted firmly.
"Hmm, fine. Keep that sow penned up. If you want to sleep with her, Ye Ye, just tell me—I won't mind," Nan Ling added casually.
"Stop! Let's drop this. Tell me about your Bloodline instead," I cut in, steering the conversation away. It was spiraling badly. Though if Ling Ling and Nan Ling ever clashed, I'd step in. Definitely.
