“He said that?”
“Where did he say it?”
Pang Cheng shouted loudly.
“I don’t know.”
Little Green shook her head.
Instantly, Pang Cheng’s temper flared.
“Oh, really? Qin Ling! I sent you to investigate the missing persons case. I thought you’d been kidnapped—I worried sick! But you, damn brat, just hit on girls here instead!?”
“Living it up, huh?”
“Qin Ling! Qin Ling! Where the hell are you hiding, you damn brat!? Get your ass out here now!”
Pang Cheng yelled into the underground cavern.
“Another one!” A sharp attack came from the side. Pang Cheng punched back hard.
*Boom!*
*Hiss!*
The blood-drenched figure flew backward, but left a bleeding hole in Pang Cheng’s fist.
“What the hell is that!?” Pang Cheng scanned the blood mist warily, frowning at a gaunt female vampire.
“Brother Qin said she’s your old flame!”
The girl’s sweet voice rang out again, igniting Pang Cheng’s fury.
“My old flame? Like hell! Do I even know her!?”
“Huh? That werewolf beside her looks familiar…”
Pang Cheng shifted his gaze, frowning at the equally wary werewolf.
He twisted his bulky body toward it. “Aren’t you that evil dog familiar from before?”
“Hmph…” The werewolf bristled inwardly at being called a dog.
After all, he wasn’t one.
“So this woman is your master?” Pang Cheng asked, guarding against both the werewolf and vampire.
To his surprise, the werewolf shook his head.
“Not anymore. My master is her now.”
He pointed at Little Green.
Pang Cheng’s eyes widened in shock.
What’s going on?
Why the sudden master switch?
“Enough talk! This damn bitch is almost dead—I’ll kill her myself!”
*Howl!* The werewolf roared at the sky, then charged at the vampire in the blood mist at blinding speed.
But the mist’s corrosion and buffs made the vampire faster. She darted around him, striking sneak attacks that left bloody gashes on his body.
“Fight her! Hit her! Team up against that vampire—she’s evil!”
Little Green’s voice called out again.
Only then did Pang Cheng notice Liu Xiyun guarding her nearby.
*Who is this girl? How can she get a Liu Clan member to protect her like this?* Pang Cheng wondered, but trusted Liu Xiyun. He turned back to the vampire in the mist.
The blood mist slowed movements and corroded everything inside.
If he hadn’t activated his True Qi barrier upon entering, he’d be hurt too.
“Liu Clan girl, are you two okay? Can you hold on?”
A pale yellow light shield enveloped Liu Xiyun and Little Green—Liu Xiyun had activated a protective artifact when the mist spread.
“We’ll manage for now,” Liu Xiyun replied.
“Good. Then I’ll deal with this vampire first.”
Pang Cheng looked away. His bulky frame trembled. He stomped his thick legs hard on the ground, clasped his hands, and chanted.
“Great Radiance Mantra!”
Golden Buddha light erupted instantly. Mystical runes swirled within it, forming a towering, half-real Buddha statue behind him—over ten meters high!
Its golden aura repelled the blood mist. The statue’s flower-holding palm then slammed down on the vampire and werewolf in the mist.
They couldn’t dodge. Wolf and bat were pinned under the golden hand, struggling desperately.
Pang Cheng had suppressed both at once!
“Fat guy! You hit the wrong target! That dumb dog’s on our side!”
“Our side? Bullshit! All dark creatures! Lucky I cultivate Radiant Buddha power, or this’d be disastrous.”
Pang Cheng glanced back at Little Green, then narrowed his eyes.
“Wait—what did you just call me, girl?”
“I—I didn’t say anything…” Little Green clamped her mouth shut.
Pang Cheng pointed at the werewolf resisting under the golden hand with the vampire. “No worries. That dumb dog ate people—bad dog anyway. Kill it if you want.”
“…” The werewolf, face twisted in agony under the light, gasped out to Pang Cheng.
“No! Stop! I never ate living humans! I only disposed of corpses—that damn bitch forced me! Don’t kill me!”
“…” Pang Cheng watched the slowly dissipating blood mist after suppressing the vampire, his gaze flickering.
“But you killed people! Blood for blood—it’s only right! Fat Brother, kill him!”
Little Green’s voice cut in again.
Pang Cheng stared in disbelief. The werewolf’s face contorted in utter disgust.
“No, Master! I’ve already given you my soul imprint—I’m loyal! And I’ve inherited Anubis’s Divine Gene! My combat power rivals an S-rank peak esper—your Heaven Tier Peak! You wouldn’t waste a loyal fighter like me, right, Master!?”
“Master, save me!”
