"Who's Qin Yi?" The uncle looked a bit confused.

"He... is my brother," Lin Jin blurted out instinctively.

Instinctive answers often stem from gut feelings. Deep down, Lin Jin truly saw Qin Yi as her elder brother.

"Oh, oh~ That boy staying in your room? He seemed to have gone out."

Gone out? So he really did ditch me for class...

This guy...

How could he be so irresponsible...

I overslept just because I was massaging his back for him...

Lin Jin sniffled her cute little nose, feeling wronged, and whispered, "Thank you, uncle."

"No need to thank me. Don't be polite. Your brother won't abandon you here. Even if he left, he'll come back. If he dares not to, he's a heartless bastard... Hey~ Miss, don't cry..."

The more the uncle spoke, the redder Lin Jin's eyes grew, tears welling up.

At the critical moment—

"Lin Jin?"

Qin Yi, carrying two live fish, had just reached the sixth floor. He spotted a petite girl's back. Her signature cat ears and tail made him recognize her instantly.

Lin Jin spun around and threw her arms around him, sobbing against his chest.

Qin Yi gently patted the Kitten Girl's slender back to comfort her while discreetly catching her excited little tail.

It was summer. Their clothes were thin. With Lin Jin pressed tightly against him, he could clearly feel she wasn't wearing a bra.

Her tail's restless wiggling might make this scatterbrain expose herself.

His Kitten Girl's hidden charms under her skirt weren't for outsiders to see.

The uncle watched wide-eyed as Qin Yi led the girl by the hand into the small room and slammed the door shut.

"Siblings? Who'd believe that nonsense?" The uncle clicked his tongue.

This young man truly had luck with women. Such a pretty girl—you couldn't find one like her in ten villages.

He pictured what might have happened between them last night. Feeling flustered, he turned, closed his own door, and rushed to his bed: "Wife, can we go again?"

Qin Yi led the Kitten Girl inside, holding her soft, petite body as he sat on the bed edge.

She's so small, curled up in my arms like a tiny ball, he thought.

When her sobs faded, Qin Yi picked up the breakfast on the table and handed it to her. "Here. Eat."

The Kitten Girl hiccuped softly. "I... don't want to."

"Then can you get off me first?"

"Where are you going?" The Kitten Girl stopped crying instantly, looking up warily.
