Max, poised to strike Lena, saw the Teleportation Portal appear and instantly knew something was wrong.

Anyone wielding high-tier magic like a Teleportation Portal couldn’t be weak.

He leaped back immediately, putting distance between them, and hid in the shadows to watch.

His expression shifted from the casual ease of torturing Lena to grave seriousness, like facing a deadly foe. At the first hint of danger, he’d bolt.

But when a young boy stepped out of the portal, Max froze. He sensed no aura of power—just a noble’s pampered son.

How old was this kid? Ten? Twelve?

Then Acrina emerged from the Teleportation Portal, draped in a magnificent black gown.

BOOM! His mind exploded.

A flood of desire shattered his reason, wiping out that faint urge to flee.

Even as an S-rank adventurer, Max had never seen a woman so breathtakingly alluring. No duke’s daughter or queen could match her little toe.

He swallowed hard, his greedy eyes locked on Acrina. He’d claim her—no matter what. His raging lust drowned out that subtle, ominous vibe from her.

Meanwhile, Lena lay dying on the ground. Her ample chest rose and fell slightly as blood spilled from her lips.

The moment she saw Kuber step from the portal, her eyes flickered with a trace of relief. Then, like a sigh released, her gaze dimmed completely.

Her hand, pressing the neck wound, went limp. Blood surged out, staining the earth beneath her deep crimson.

“Busty? Busty?”

Kuber crouched, waving a hand before Lena’s vacant eyes. No reaction. Her pupils were fully dilated.

He pressed a hand to her chest—her heart had stopped. Her body cooled fast.

“Sigh…”

Kuber shook his head. He’d opened the Teleportation Portal the instant Lena’s distress signal hit. Too late.

A Luo crouched beside the corpse, poking Lena’s cheek with a tiny finger.

“Brother, is she dead?”

“Yes. But it’s fine. Acrina, help me strip her armor off.”

Kuber started yanking at the plates. Acrina gaped, mind reeling—how starved was her master?!

“M-Master! You can’t mean to… use her while she’s still warm? If you need relief, take it from me! I’ll satisfy you!”

“What the hell! Clothes block resurrection spells!” Kuber’s face darkened. Did he look that perverted? Resurrection required a clean, mended body—no soul returned to a filthy corpse.

“Oh? Really?” Acrina flushed, scrambling to help strip the armor.

Max, hidden in shadows, stared in horror.

These portal people were stripping a corpse right before his eyes!

At first, he didn’t get it. Then it clicked—they meant to “use her while warm.”

Max recoiled. Even as scum of the scum, he couldn’t stomach such depravity from rotten nobles!

He couldn’t stand it. Absolutely not.

“Hey! You perverts—back off that body!”

In that moment, Max felt like justice itself.
