"ROAR!!"

The moment the two drew near, a terrifying tiger roar blasted from the pitch-black cave! A fetid gust of wind slammed into their faces.

Two blood-red lights flared in the darkness.

Heavy, pile-driving footsteps echoed.

A massive black tiger slowly emerged.

Its crimson eyes glared fiercely, locked onto the two foolish thieves at its den.

Muscles bulged beneath its black fur—so thick even a bodybuilder would feel ashamed. One foreleg was as thick as a man’s waist.

Compared to it, tiny Kuber and A Luo weren’t enough to fill its teeth.

"Awooo~~~"

Seeing the pair hadn’t fled, the tiger doubted its own intimidation. It unleashed another roar, shaking the forest and scattering birds and beasts.

Still, the two didn’t budge. The tiger questioned itself—were they frozen with fear?

Kuber frowned, pinching his nose. What a stinky habit! Did this tiger enjoy blasting people with bad breath? Disgusting! Had it seen through his strength and decided to stink him to death?

Relieved, he noticed little A Luo still clung tightly to his neck, motionless.

"A Luo, not bad! You didn’t run!"

Kuber praised sincerely. This timid one really trusted him!

But after a moment, A Luo showed no reaction. A kid like her should’ve been overjoyed.

"A Luo? A Luo?"

Kuber shook the little werewolf. *Thud*. She hit the ground, still hugging his neck, eyes rolled back, foaming white liquid from her mouth, legs twitching.

A Luo had fainted from terror!

Kuber covered his eyes. So embarrassing! Nina wasn’t this cowardly!

He’d planned to show off for her—but without an audience, it meant nothing.

The black tiger couldn’t wait. Wind energy swirled around it as it pounced. This was no ordinary beast—a wind-elemental monster.

Its gaping maw nearly swallowed Kuber whole—until he slapped it.

"You’re done for! Scaring my A Luo? Brave, huh?"

The weak slap looked pathetic. The tiger didn’t even dodge, sneering inwardly. Even if it stood still all day, this kid couldn’t scratch it.

In theory, yes. But reality bit hard. The instant the slap hit, the tiger felt as if a Dragon had stomped its face!

BOOM~

A deafening crash. The tiger slammed into the ground, eyeballs bursting from their sockets. Cracks spiderwebbed from its body.

The entire forest shook violently!

Birds exploded into the sky in panic.

Kuber stroked the tiger’s corpse. Its fur gleamed, smooth as silk.

"This pelt’s worth some coin."

He nodded, satisfied.
