After recognizing the newcomer, the fat lord’s eyes nearly popped out of his head.

“You! You’re the young master from the William family?”

“That’s right. Quite an honor that you, Lord, still remember me. But I’m no young master anymore—I’m an adventurer now.”

As he spoke, Kuber waved his right hand gently, summoning a fierce gale. It blew back the icy dragon breath and shattered the bone dragon into pieces.

Kuber then clapped his hands, brushing off the frost clinging to his skin.

“How about it, Lord? Need help? For just a bit of coin, I’ll wipe out these liches for you.”

“H-how much?”

Terrified, the fat lord plopped onto the ground, trembling as he stared at the youth. He’d never seen such power—not even the old hero matched this.

“Ten million gold coins. A steal, right? It’ll save your life and keep your lordship intact. Best deal ever, wouldn’t you say?”

Kuber’s eyes narrowed into sly slits as he rubbed his hands together, looking like a crafty fox.

The fat lord coughed violently at the outrageous sum, then suddenly agreed.

“Fine! Ten million! Deal!”

“Straight to the point. As expected of a lord. But you know the consequences of lying to me?”

Kuber still smiled, but his eyes glinted with icy menace, making the lord shiver.

“Of course! I’m a lord—my word is my bond!”

“Great! Commission accepted!”

Hahaha, rich at last! Kuber turned away, nearly grinning ear to ear, but stifled his laughter. A magic circle flashed beneath his feet, lifting him into the air.

Outside the walls, the liches halted their attack. Their bone dragon lay in shards, and a young boy now floated above the ramparts. He must be the killer of the Lich King.

“Who are you? State your name!”

“Me? Coburn William. Rude to send you all to hell on our first meeting, isn’t it? Hahaha.”

Kuber hammed up his arrogance to flaunt his strength.

The liches fumed. Damn, this brat’s insufferable!

“Hmph! Shattering one bone dragon makes you invincible? Fool. Witness our true power!”

The three liches chanted in unison. A massive magic circle erupted on the ground. Skeletons stacked like blocks, soaring higher—higher!

A thunderous roar split the air! One bone dragon emerged. Then a second! Third! Fourth! The skeletal tide surged until the fifth dragon took flight.

Five bone dragons! Ghostly blue flames ignited in their dark sockets. They spread their wings, circling high with deafening shrieks, as if to annihilate the world.

“Holy crap!”

The fat lord wet his pants. Soldiers on the wall collapsed, broken.

“Devour the enemy! My lovely bone dragons!”

At the command, all five charged toward Kuber in the sky.
