"Don't worry, I have no interest in that kind of thing."

Lyn took one look at Divine Snow Sakura’s slightly flustered expression and knew she’d misunderstood. Recalling her past words about never seeing him as a man, he sneered inwardly. Truly, women’s words were full of deception.

But I don’t see you as a woman either—how could I care about the black stockings on your legs?

Lust +1!

Lyn: “…”

Fortunately, Divine Snow Sakura couldn’t read minds or see system prompts, letting Lyn keep up his indifferent act. He coughed tactically. Watching her embarrassment and anger build, and feeling the air grow inexplicably cold around him, he realized teasing her further might backfire. He finally cut to the chase: “I need clothes for Xing Luo to wear.”

Divine Snow Sakura froze again, then understood. She took a deep breath, forcing herself to calm down. Her emerald eyes swept over Xing Luo, realizing the girl might be wearing nothing under her cloak. She shot Lyn a disdainful glare.

“You really are a pervert.”

Lyn felt utterly innocent. “How am I a pervert?”

Divine Snow Sakura didn’t answer. After studying Lyn with complex emotions, she used mental energy to access her spatial ring. Fiddling briefly, she pulled out a new ring and handed it to him.

“Inside are dresses and clothes I bought as a kid. All brand new, never worn.”

“You actually carry this stuff around?” Lyn asked, surprised as he took the ring.

“None of your business. My ring has ample space—I can store whatever I want,” Divine Snow Sakura said coldly.

“No, I’m just curious—are my childhood clothes in there too?” Lyn gave her a strange look. He remembered when he’d tried to throw away old clothes once; Divine Snow Sakura had sternly stopped him, calling him wasteful, and taken everything.

“Why would I keep those? I donated them long ago,” she said, gaze drifting. She quickly hardened her expression, lecturing him: “And don’t give girls used hand-me-downs. Only an idiot like you would be so careless. Asking me for clothes—even if Xing Luo doesn’t say it, she might mind.”

Lyn sighed. “Yes, yes, Divine Snow Mom, I know.” This girl loved lecturing him at the drop of a hat.

—Regarding the Matter of My Reincarnated Childhood Friend Being a Preachy Mother Hen—

“I can’t be bothered with you,” Divine Snow Sakura snapped. Hearing “Divine Snow Mom,” her cheeks flushed. She suppressed the odd flutter in her chest, snatched the ring back from Lyn, and thrust it at Xing Luo. “Xing Luo, you take it.”

Xing Luo’s vacant eyes had cleared the moment Lyn mentioned clothes for her. Now, touched by Divine Snow Sakura’s kindness, she blinked and gripped the ring tightly. “Thank you, Sister Divine Snow Sakura,” she said earnestly.

“No need to thank me. Just help manage this fool later,” Divine Snow Sakura replied, patting Xing Luo’s head. “He’s useless at everything except causing trouble.”

“Hey, don’t call me useless without knowing anything,” Lyn cut in. “And you cause trouble too—don’t forget how many times I’ve cleaned up your messes. You’re a year younger than me; stop talking like my elder.” He sighed inwardly. He should’ve been an overpowered transmigrator, a heaven’s chosen one, yet after rebirth, he felt trapped under several women’s shadows.

“If you’re helping me, just say it plainly—no weird descriptions,” Divine Snow Sakura said, shooting him a look of disdain.

After some idle chatter, Lyn and Xing Luo were escorted to the lockdown zone’s exit. Bound by orders, Divine Snow Sakura couldn’t leave with them. But before Lyn departed, she pulled him aside, serious.

“Hurry up with your Dawnstar Trial.”

“Belmond’s rules can’t be overturned. If you fail to secure a spot this time, even your sister might not save you. If the family exiles you, don’t blame me for mocking you later.”

“Don’t worry—you won’t get that chance.” Lyn’s eyes flickered at the mention of Dawnstar Trial.

Divine Snow Sakura stared deeply. “And don’t forget our agreement.”

Lyn grew unusually solemn. “I, Lyn, never break my promises.”

“I’ll remember that. Now scram,” she said. Her cheeks flushed slightly, her gaze trembling for a moment, before she snorted coldly and waved him off, expressionless.

“What a heartless woman,” Lyn muttered. “My Xing Luo is still the best.” He turned to her. Ignored for so long, Xing Luo beamed at his words.

“Mhm!”

“Master is the best too.”

Lust +1…

“Damn! This cursed aphrodisiac.”
