Chapter 3: Awakening
update icon Updated at 2025/12/10 17:30:51

Lyn sank into darkness, unaware of how long he’d slept, until he finally sensed his own existence again.

His consciousness drifted in an endless void, sluggishly turning over jumbled thoughts.

At last—he seemed to remember something.

—Transmigration. Rebirth. The Demon Lord System. Enduring humiliation. A sinister ritual. Sacrifices. And finally, the angelic girl who descended… only to smash into him with a rocket-powered headbutt.

“Am I… dead?”

How tragic.

After finally transmigrating to another world—where he’d thought he’d never see those cursed dump trucks again—he’d been killed by his own adorable contracted girl, who hit like a dump truck. Lyn wondered if any transmigrator had ever died a more ridiculous death.

If a dump truck crash got him one transmigration… would getting flattened by a *girl*-shaped dump truck grant him a second life?

Lyn didn’t know. He only found the afterlife strangely vivid.

First, a soft weight pressed against his chest and abdomen, making it hard to breathe. Odd as the description was, what *couldn’t* happen in the afterlife?

Second, something hard kept poking his chest—like a drill jabbing at him. A delicate fragrance also filled his nose.

Lastly, something began prying at his eyelids—

Huh?? *Eyelids*??

The moment his eyelids were pried open, Lyn realized something was terribly wrong!!

Blinding light flooded his vision. His eyes stung, tears blurring his sight. Through the haze, a tiny face loomed extremely close—he could even feel the warmth of her breath.

“…I’m… actually alive?”

His body wasn’t torn apart. It wasn’t a bloody pulp from that terrifying impact. Lyn couldn’t believe it. Before blacking out, he’d been certain the force that hit him far exceeded his bloodline’s regenerative limits.

*Damn.*

Did I unlock the hidden class “Battleship Captain” in a crisis?

The kind whose flesh could tank destroyer—or even aircraft carrier—collisions?

As the thought flashed through his mind, a familiar, childlike voice rang in his ears—tinged with excitement this time.

“Master… you’re awake!?”

He’d never forget that voice after the nightmare he’d just endured.

And now he finally understood what that “soft stone” pinning him down really was.

Memories of that flawless, porcelain-skinned body surged back—sending both chills and heat rushing through him.

+1 LUST!

The system’s prompt flashed dutifully, but Lyn ignored it. His newly revived body locked up again. The phantom ache from her abdominal impact still throbbed in his nerves.

Remembering the girl’s terrifying strength, Lyn knew he couldn’t let her get overly excited. His body was a fragile doll before her monstrous power. Surviving the first hit had been pure luck.

*Please don’t move. Don’t tackle me again—*

His vision finally adjusted to the light. Before him was a tear-streaked, beautiful face he recognized well—but something was off.

—This face looked *much* younger than the girl he’d just met.
