Luna's Perspective
Hello everyone~ I’m Luna~~ Right now, I’m preparing to escape. I never expected that useless Pupil to be so powerful! Facing off head-on against the legendary Dragon Deity and all! If he catches me, I’m dead—I did try to kill him before. Even if I run now, at worst, I’ll just be chased by the Sharkhead Gang. That’s a hundred times better than being hunted by that monster.
I hurriedly stuffed my luggage into a bundle and got ready to leave.
“Ahhh!!!!”
Bad luck right from the start. In my panic, I rushed out and immediately bumped into a passerby.
“I’m sorry~~ I’m so sorry~~~~”
I apologized frantically.
“Eh~~? Aren’t you Luna~~~?”
An unforgettable voice reached my ears. I looked up sharply.
Oh no~ Of all people, I’d bumped right into Pupil!!!
“Th-that… th-that…”
What should I do?? He must want to chop me up on the spot. And that purple-haired little girl behind him, munching on a waffle, didn’t look harmless at all.
“I’m sorry!! I know all about the Dragon Deity incident!!! Framing you was wrong!! Please don’t kill me! I’ll do anything you ask!!!”
I dropped to my knees and begged instantly!! I’d do anything now! Just spare my life.
“Hey!! Hey hey!!! Get up!! People are staring weirdly at me!! Your words sound so misleading!!!”
“I won’t get up!! Do that thing to me, humiliate and abuse me, even imprison me—I’m willing!! Spare my life, great hero!”
“Oh~~~ Isn’t imprisonment play your favorite thing to do to me, big brother!!”
“Hey!!!! Don’t chime in!! People are already calling the guards!!!”
“Well… as long as you don’t kill me, I’ll accept it…”
Tears welled up in my eyes. Even if imprisoned and abused, as long as I lived, there was hope.
“I won’t kill you!!! Get up!!! At this rate, I’ll be the one sentenced to death.”
“Really!!! You truly forgive me??? No sex, no humiliation or imprisonment??”
I couldn’t believe my ears. He was actually letting me go.
“I don’t want any of that!!! I forgive you!! I know you had your reasons!!!”
Pupil, flustered, helped me up.
“R-really?? Th-that’s… great…”
The tension broke, and I burst into tears…
“Brother made another little girl cry.”
“Stop messing around!!! And you, stop crying. Tell me why you tried to harm us??”
I quickly wiped my tears, calmed down, and told Pupil the truth.
“My father owed the Sharkhead Gang a huge gambling debt. When he fell ill and died, the debt fell to me. To repay it, I guided people through the dungeon day and night, but the money was nowhere near enough. Recently, the Sharkhead Gang gave me an ultimatum: be sold to a brothel to earn money with my body, or kill you. They even prepared the method—lure you to the lord’s chamber and let the lord kill you.”
Every word was true. I didn’t lie at all.
“So it’s those guys causing trouble again~~~~~~”
“What will you do, brother??”
The purple-haired little girl watched Pupil excitedly.
“What else!! Luna, lead the way! I’ll settle your debt while I’m at it.”
What!? Did I hear that right………
“Th-this… this is the place…”
I led Pupil, clad in black armor, to the Sharkhead Gang’s hideout. Though he lacked those four wings now, I knew this was the same armor he wore fighting the Dragon Deity.
Without a word, Pupil swung his purple Greatsword, slicing the entire building cleanly in half.
This was no joke. Standing beside him, I felt an endless sword aura—like my heart was gripped in a fist. With a flick of his finger, he could end me.
BOOM!
The sliced half of the building collapsed. Sharkhead Gang members inside stared out with terrified eyes. Anyone would fear this!! If I didn’t know it was Pupil, I might have wet myself already.
Pupil, radiating a crimson-purple aura, advanced like a demon—no! a Demon God—toward the gang boss seated in the hall. His armored face was hidden, making him even more terrifying.
No one dared move. That aura had seeped into their bones.
“Here’s the money Luna owed you!!!”
Pupil tossed a heavy coin pouch at the boss’s feet.
“Y-yes… yes!!”
The boss immediately knelt and grabbed it.
As he looked up, Pupil pressed the purple Greatsword’s tip to his forehead.
“Eeek!!!!”
A horrifying scream tore out.
“Don’t let me see your faces in Mas City again.”
Every word dripped with killing intent.
“Go!! Run!! Flee now!!”
The boss scrambled out first, clutching the pouch. His underlings scattered in panic.
The Sharkhead Gang would vanish from Mas City forever.
