"Oh, okay, I'm coming right now!" I hurried after Sunny Su.

The moment I stepped into the hall, everything went pitch black. I couldn't see a thing.

My eyes hadn't adjusted to the sudden darkness, and my vision swam with colorful dots.

But out of habit, I kept walking forward—bumped into someone—and both of us tumbled to the ground.

"Who is it? Watch where you're going!"

My sight slowly returned. I looked down... beneath me... it was... it was... it was him!

Yes... Ye Qian was under me, blushing shyly as he gazed up. "Li Ze~ I don't swing that way, you know."

"Hahaha, Li Ze, you're actually into guys? Hahaha, this is hilarious!"

Before I could react, our class monitor Sunny Su burst into laughter ahead. Angrily, I lifted my head...

White panties with pink lace trim... Better lower my gaze. I silently chanted, "Don't look... don't look..."

But Sunny Su thought I'd surrendered, laughing even harder... I couldn't take it anymore. How could I let her mock me like this?

I scrambled up and strode to Sunny Su. She eyed me, stepping back—but I closed in.

"W-What... what are you doing?"

I advanced another step, cornering her against the wall. Slowly, I leaned closer until our faces were inches apart. Sunny Su suddenly shut her eyes.

...

My lips neared... Sunny Su's ear.

"White panties with pink lace—"

Before I finished, a hard punch slammed into my stomach. I staggered back.

"Hmph, serves you right!"

Sunny Su spun around and left.

Watching her retreating figure... I sighed...

"Li Ze... didn't you... say... you can't flirt? How... on day one... did you... win over... our... gorgeous class monitor?"

Ye Qian pounced like a ghost. My fist met his face—perfect punishment for ruining the mood.

"Ye Qian, would it kill you to be serious?"

Ye Qian bowed deeply. "Master Li Ze, accept this disciple's bow! Teach me your flirting secrets!"

"Disciple... let's attend the opening ceremony first."

Ye Qian clapped. "Right! I forgot—Li Ze, which class are you in?"

"Class Three. So lead the way. If we're late, we're both doomed."

Ye Qian recoiled, eyes wide. "No way! You're the legendary transfer student?"

I shot him a disdainful look. "What else? How many Li Zes are there here?"

"Shouldn't the legendary study god have three heads and six arms?"

I flicked his forehead. "Less talk. Lead on. Since when do top scorers need superpowers?"

Ye Qian nodded. "Aren't they? Like Class One, Grade Two—they're all freaks. They ace every exam, but every night they dance in the teaching building wearing clothes made from exercise books..."

"Alright, enough. Let's go. Stop with your campus legends—I'll get punished endlessly otherwise." I shoved Ye Qian toward the inner hall.

Oh right—I just remembered. This venue has inner and outer sections. The outer hall's empty; the opening ceremony's inside.
