Ignoring the startled cries around them, the two girls homed in on Xia Chuan Yuan’s desk like missiles locking onto a target.

“What are you two doing here!”

The boys and girls of Class One began buzzing with whispers.

A goddess in every boy’s heart and a god in every girl’s heart—combining these two elements wasn’t just 1+1=2; it sparked a chemical reaction greater than the sum of its parts.

After all, there were no rumors about them having any connection with Xia Chuan Yuan!

Though both girls ignored the stares, Miyabi Mizuki still felt a bit embarrassed, her eyes flickering away slightly. Miharu Narumi, however, didn’t care at all—whether from thick skin or sheer indifference.

“What? Can’t we just check on our club member?”

“No, I was about to leave for lunch. I didn’t expect you two—it’s a bit surprising.”

“Life’s full of surprises! Besides, we came specifically about your lunch.”

“Oh? Is that so?”

“Just follow us!”

“Ah! Oh, okay.”

Xia Chuan Yuan hadn’t expected the club to handle lunch too! This club seemed considerate—he must’ve chosen right. Saving money was nice, even if he wasn’t short on cash. Every bit counts.

After speaking, Miharu Narumi and Miyabi Mizuki turned and headed back. The onlookers instinctively parted a path, and Xia Chuan Yuan followed.

Xia Chuan Yuan sensed Miyabi Mizuki and Miharu Narumi had a hidden secret. Two beauties of equal caliber wouldn’t submit so easily—Miyabi clearly deferred to Miharu. She must have dirt on her. Hmph! Definitely.

Walking behind them, Xia Chuan Yuan eyed their backs and long legs, secretly speculating about their secrets. There had to be some shady deal going on!

Then, following them to the clubroom, Xia Chuan Yuan recalled its spaciousness—equipped with everything. Could they be planning to cook personally?

He couldn’t help but feel a flicker of anticipation!

Sure enough, upon entering, the two girls headed straight to the kitchen corner—as Xia Chuan Yuan dubbed the kitchen-like nook—and turned to him.

“Don’t stare at me! Just cook; I’ll wait to eat!”

“What are you talking about?”

Miharu Narumi gave Xia Chuan Yuan a look that said, “Are you an idiot?”

“Weren’t you making lunch for me? I brought my stomach. Isn’t this a club perk?”

“Ara ara, you misunderstood! We never said we’d cover your lunch! Which ear heard us promise cooking? You’re overthinking it!”

“Uh… then why call me here? What’s the point!”

Miharu Narumi and Miyabi Mizuki each stepped back. Miharu pointed at the kitchen corner and asked:

“See that?”

“Yeah, what about it?”

“That’s our club perk!”

Xia Chuan Yuan was baffled. How… what did this corner have to do with perks?

“We heard you’re an amazing cook, Xia Chuan Yuan! So your perk is using our ingredients and tools to cook for us—lunch or dinner. Isn’t that great!”

“Heh, so that’s the ‘perk’! Why should I cook for you? Shouldn’t you cook for me? Can’t you cook?”

“Well…”

Miharu Narumi’s eyes darted as she said:

“That… impossible! Hahaha! Overthinking again! We’re girls—we owe you no cooking duty. You’re not our boyfriend or anything. Why should we cook for you?”

“Then I’m leaving. Cafeteria lunch. Bye.”

Xia Chuan Yuan made to turn away.

Sure enough, Miharu Narumi got flustered.

“After cooking and eating, you can nap here! We have proper resting spots—no uncomfortable desk naps! Plus, eating with us two is an honor!”

“…Uh… still not convincing!”

“No gentlemanly manners? Do you even know what a gentleman is? As a man, how can you act like this? Sure, you’re handsome—but with such low EQ, you’re destined to be single forever! Cooking for us boosts our favor levels. Don’t you want that?”

What! Destined to be alone forever? Impossible—I mean, past life… this life… okay, I really don’t have a girlfriend! ORZ QAQ!

“Ooh, that actually swayed me. Not bad!”

“So, the truth?”

“We can’t cook. Sakuno Sakuno said you’re amazing—we wanted a permanent meal ticket. That’s my real thought!”

“Miharu-nee, why’d you say that out loud!”

“Huh! What did I just say!”
