Thud, thud, thud!

Xia Chuan Yuan followed the two girls down a flight of stairs into the basement. He gauged the descent at roughly one and a half floors deep.

The underground level was pitch black—no sunlight seeped in. For most people, it would be impossible to see anything.

Xia Chuan Yuan experienced a moment of darkness like anyone else. Then, his vision pierced through it—as if upgraded night vision—and the space snapped into focus.

He saw Chenghai Meixi and Guanyue Yamei halt in the gloom. After about a minute, they shuffled along the wall. Guanyue Yamei fumbled for a switch and flipped it. Light flooded everywhere.

"Sorry, no smart system yet—just manual switches. Thanks for waiting! Let’s go; we’re almost at our spot!" Chenghai Meixi’s tone already treated him like club family. Her instant familiarity made Xia Chuan Yuan slightly awkward. Even dating needed time to build trust!

He shook his head, dismissing it. Not a bad thing, anyway. No need to overthink.

The lit corridor stretched long, with two doors on each side—four rooms total. Xia Chuan Yuan didn’t know if the basement matched the school building above. But even if smaller, it was seriously huge. Just four rooms meant massive space.

If it mirrored the building’s layout, the area would be staggering. Either way, the rooms wouldn’t be small.

The lighting was bright, indistinguishable from outdoors. Chenghai Meixi and Guanyue Yamei strode to the first left door and opened it.

Xia Chuan Yuan hurried over with quick steps—not running, since it wasn’t far.

"Brace yourself! Don’t get shocked, Xia Chuan Yuan!" Chenghai Meixi grinned, a hint of pride in her eyes. Guanyue Yamei seemed equally eager. Xia Chuan Yuan reminded himself to stay alert.

But he was still stunned.

Whoa! This didn’t feel like a club room—it was like a luxury resort!

That was his first impression.

Beyond the door lay a massive space. Xia Chuan Yuan guessed over a hundred square meters, nearly two hundred—big enough for three classrooms.

In Shangsha City, where every inch of land was precious, this alone would sell for millions, nearing ten million yuan.

Size was just the start. It was lavish—more like a villa than a club room. High-end decor, a TV, fridge, AC, kitchen tools—all there.

In one corner, a section about tens of square meters was cordoned off. Thick, layered carpets covered the floor, looking incredibly soft.

Noticing his gaze, Chenghai Meixi turned and said proudly, "Sharp eye! That’s our rest zone. Multiple carpet layers—super soft and warm. Club members nap there. Fits over twenty people comfortably!"

"Really impressive. Haha." Xia Chuan Yuan forced a dry laugh and kept observing the room.
