Chapter 17: The Abyssal Dungeon and Her

Feyn Senior continued whispering tenderly in my ear, her breath dampening my skin as if this intimacy would make her words impossible to resist. "I must admit, your initial scheme was clever," she murmured. "When strange sensations began disrupting my combat focus, I realized I’d been tricked. With my strength, escape was still possible—but I refused to return empty-handed. As you said, failure would mean severe punishment. How could I save the person I cherish most then? So I turned your trick against you, pretending to be captured. You assumed binding a Temple Knight with holy-restricting ropes would hold me. Yet few know I’ve also mastered the dark primordial force, holding the rank of Fifth-Tier Dark Knight. This blade of darkness sliced through those ropes effortlessly—the very skill now pressed against your throat."

She continued, "As for the ring—I noticed it when we kissed earlier. Today, watching your little performance confirmed everything."

My eyes glazed over. Senior Sister had outmaneuvered me… She was truly stronger. Was I no match for her after all?

"But why, Senior Sister? Why kidnap me?"

"I must rescue someone. This failure taught me: to save a life in the Undercity, I need its own power. And you—you wield significant influence there. Weak, petite, and adorably vulnerable… who better to take hostage?"

"Stop calling me adorable when you’re holding me hostage! You’ve been using me from the start!" My eyes stung with unexpected tears.

"Huh?" Feyn stiffened, a flicker of guilt crossing her face before she turned away. "Hmph. So what if I have?"

"The person you’re trying to save… is her name Xueno?"

Feyn’s entire body tensed. The dark blade bit deeper into my tender neck as she whipped her head around, eyes icy. "How do you know that name? What else have you uncovered?"

Just hearing Xueno’s name transformed her. A sharp ache pierced my chest. *I’m the one who lost my first kiss to you—I’m the one you’re holding hostage! What’s so special about some frail, quiet girl? Why does she matter more?*

I swallowed the words, only explaining our surveillance via Xueying bats.

"So that’s how you tracked us!" Feyn’s cheeks flushed crimson. "You let others watch me bathe?!"

"No! I sent everyone away the moment you started undressing!"

"…Really?" Her shoulders relaxed, her gaze softening. "Why? I’m your enemy. Do you spare decency for enemies?"

"Whether enemy or not," I turned my head away, "your body, Feyn Senior, remains sacred to me. Untouchable."

"Huh?" She studied me, then a knowing smile curved her lips. "Ah… I see. Kuroti, could it be you’ve truly fallen for your senior? Not surprising. Back in the capital—in the academy too—many adore me. Boys and… girls alike."

"W-Who adores you?! You’re still pressing this terrifying dark blade to my neck!" I avoided her eyes, but heat flooded my face. *Like her? This overpowering, perfect senior? Never!*

Feyn sheathed the blade. Her slender finger traced my cheek. "Oh? Still no affection? That disappoints me, little sister." Her voice dropped to a whisper. "Then let me make you fall for me now."

"Huh—?"

"Obey me." She tilted my chin up and kissed me again. This time, her hand grew bolder—sliding down my neck, lingering over my chest, then suddenly squeezing—

"Nngh… ah…!"

"How’s this, little cutie?" Her breath warmed my parted lips. "Refuse to obey, and I’ll tighten my grip. Or… do you want me to continue?"

"N-No…" My cheeks burned, breath hitching as I squirmed and shook my head.

"No to what? Disobedience? Or stopping?" Her fingers pressed harder.

"Ah—no, don’t… stop…"

"Be clear, little cutie. Vagueness makes Sister misunderstand." Her smirk deepened. "Are you stalling… hoping I’ll keep going? Shall I add more pressure?"

Electric current surged through me again.

*No—it’s not like that, Senior! But why can’t I form the words to stop her…?* My half-hearted resistance only fueled her confidence.

Beneath the city, the Undercity sprawled—a labyrinth of shadows where Fiendish Monsters roamed. Adventurers risked their lives plundering its depths; undead drifted through gloomy tunnels. Some humans fell as monster fodder. Others seized treasures, bought mansions in the capital, married beautiful brides. Life churned on, indifferent.

No one imagined that tonight, deep within the Undercity’s oldest dungeon, its princess lay imprisoned.
