01 Daily Provocations at the Academy Gat

"Hello everyone, I'm Yan Lingxuan, the transfer student! Please take good care of me."

Standing on the podium, Yan Lingxuan announced confidently. He gazed curiously at the large classroom ahead and the new classmates seated in scattered rows.

Sure enough, the female students here were stunning. All wore form-fitting uniforms with short sleeves and skirts, showcasing their graceful figures. It was thrilling—far better than the sporty uniforms back in the Zhonghua Region!

Though Yan had seen pictures online, seeing it in person was different. Those pale, long legs and smooth, delicate arms made him feel incredibly blessed instantly.

"Yan Lingxuan, Student Yan..."

Yan, lost in his reverie, snapped to attention. The female teacher beside him was calling his name.

Scratching the back of his head, Yan apologized while observing her carefully. Was Valhalla Academy some international beauty pageant? Students were attractive enough, but teachers were equally stunning.

Puxia, of Korean descent, taught Chinese and homeroomed Class 1-G. True to her heritage, she had long legs, a full bust, and a slim figure. Her straight black hair flowed down. Dressed in a white shirt, black short skirt, and nude stockings, she ensured no student would skip class.

By the way, Atlantis was a multi-ethnic society. Residents were mostly of Chinese, Japanese, American, and British descent. With the Chinese population largest, Mandarin was the official language. So, Atlantis was a nation where everyone spoke Mandarin!

Su Fangwen was deeply ashamed of Yan's lecherous expression. She and Qi Jun had enrolled yesterday but were split into different classes. She never expected to share a class with Yan Lingxuan—what cruel fate.

Perhaps classmates weren't enthusiastic because a transfer had just joined yesterday. Or maybe it was because he was a boy, not a cute girl, failing to excite some males. Anyway, Yan Lingxuan expected nothing. Peace and quiet were best—he didn't care at all.

"Student Yan, just find any seat."

"Oh."

Yan had wanted to sit next to Su Fangwen, but another girl occupied the spot. Students mostly sat by gender. Sitting with a girl would draw attention. Besides, Su gave him a look: "Don't pretend you know me." So, Yan sought another seat.

Everything seemed fine. Even in a new school, he could make friends. Yan Lingxuan gave Su Fangwen a faint smile.

The classroom was tiered. Seats formed three columns and fifteen rows. Side sections held three people; the middle held five. No assigned seats—everyone sat freely.

Window seats were likely in high demand. Glancing habitually toward them, Yan saw they were full. He gave up and found an empty spot in the middle.

"Su, is he your friend?"

The short-haired girl beside Su Fangwen asked.

"Just an acquaintance. Not close. Why?"

"You had a look saying, 'Come sit with me.'"

"Huh? How? It should be the opposite!"

"Really?"

"Yes! And that guy's a super gross otaku with a sister complex. Any woman should stay away—he'll attack you."

"That sounds deep."

Seeing Yu Xiaozhuo smile lightly at Yan Lingxuan, Su Fangwen just pursed her lips and ignored it.

Valhalla Academy's first year had eleven classes: A through K. Each held about 150 students. Yan Lingxuan and Su Fangwen were in Class 1-G. That scoundrel Qi Jun seemed placed in Class 1-A.

Speaking of Qi Jun—he was supposed to be a second-year. Why repeat first year? Haha, maybe he failed the transfer exam with terrible grades. That made sense—he always roamed with two vicious dogs, so his grades couldn't be good.

...

"I wonder how my brother is doing."

Bai Lingyue murmured during class in 1-A. Sensing something, she turned left and back. Qi Jun stared at her. When noticed, he casually looked away. Being watched was routine for her; she didn't mind.

"Hmph."

Gazing out the window, Qi Jun's mood was complex—and it showed. Before Atlantis, he'd met his family, including his stern, humorless father.

"I see teachers more than him. Why obey that bossy guy?"

...

Valhalla Academy's upside: no morning exercises. Downside: classes Monday to Saturday, only Sunday off. Depressing, but unavoidable. Beyond regular courses, magic classes totaled over twenty. Such heavy workload meant sacrificing rest days.

Today was Saturday, so classes ran as usual.

"Valhalla's courses aren't too hard."

Yan said confidently, viewing text on his WD. Modern education was fully digital. Carrying a WD sufficed—no heavy textbooks. His was Valhalla's standard issue for students.

"Amazing. Is this really just a general model? Performance is insane—way better than Zhonghua Region WDs."

Slightly bigger than a thumb, its computing power rivaled large machines. How did it handle heat and power? As a tech fan, Yan itched to dissect this WD.

"Class dismissed, students."

"Thank you, teacher."

The first lesson ended smoothly.

Yan lay on his desk, watching classmates stir. Bored. At Er Gao, he'd chat with his otaku trio after class. Here, no familiar faces meant dullness.

Boredom drove him online to kill time. He also wanted to test his new WD's limits.

Yan entered a foreign URL. Surprisingly, Atlantis had no firewall—it connected directly. The webpage overflowed with adult ads...

"Student Yan, what are you doing?"

Guilty, Yan hid his WD under the desk. He looked up warily.

A Chinese girl with chestnut short hair stood before him. Hands behind her back, she leaned forward. Her big eyes sparkled with curiosity, amused by his hidden hand. Her upturned lips gave a mischievous demon vibe.

She smiled suggestively—had she seen it?!

Yan felt exposed, fidgeting as his back prickled. But unease vanished, captivated by her appearance and the glimpse of her bra.

She noticed his stare. Unshy, she swayed like showing off treasure. Yan swayed with her.

A figure stepped in, blocking his view.

"Oh, Su. What's up?"

Hearing his annoyed tone, Su Fangwen wanted to punch him.

"Hmph, pervert! May your eyes grow hemorrhoids for staring!"

Whoa—pervert? Hemorrhoids? When did Su turn vicious? Like a witch! Just looking—I did nothing. If you hate being seen, stay home! Or was she tempting me? Why play hypocrite?!

Though furious, Yan recalled the golden rule: "A good man doesn't fight with women."

...

Yan Lingxuan, Su Fangwen, and Yu Xiaozhuo walked the corridor.

Yu Xiaozhuo was the chestnut-haired girl—American-Chinese, explaining her openness. Tall like Yan, though her chest was modest. She and Su were dorm mates.

Enthusiastic Yu toured the newcomers. Yan had seen Valhalla photos on 'Magical Girl Support Group', but being here felt different.

How was the otaku trio? He'd send Valhalla life pics to make them envious. Haha. Yan imagined them hating him yet shamelessly begging for girl photos. The thought cheered him.

Ahead, students blocked the corridor. Sounds suggested a fight.

"Time to show off again."

But as Yan spoke, the crowd dispersed. Everyone avoided the spot like the plague.

Clearing revealed a short boy and two fallen students.

"Elementary student?"

Yan blurted. Yu Xiaozhuo paled, grabbing his arm.

"Disaster! You said the forbidden phrase. Run!"

Her whisper reached the sharp-eared boy. His gaze locked onto Yan.

Dragged away, Yan muttered about her tension. Her hand was smooth—truly a girl's hand.

Yu had no patience. She pulled him fast. Suddenly, the short boy appeared ahead—just behind moments ago.

He glared, eyes sharp, head tilted with disdain.

"What did you say?"

"That you're an elementary student?"

Yan knew it was forbidden, but repeated it carelessly. The boy's eyes turned fierce. Magic light flickered around him.
