Leon watched Roswitha's lips, which held the last tiny piece of the chocolate bar, barely the size of a soybean. He couldn’t help but swallow discreetly.
It was already so short—no matter how he stared at it, leaning in would definitely mean kissing the dragon queen.
Although when they were alone, kissing Roswitha or holding her hands wasn’t a problem; now the children were still here. If he went ahead with it now, General Leon’s face would undoubtedly turn as red as a tomato.
Yet judging by the queen’s smug expression, it seemed like she didn’t care about such things.
Or rather, she probably wanted to see Leon’s current, awkward, and indecisive face.
If he didn’t give in, he would have to go ahead and kiss her.
If he conceded, he would lose this little game to Roswitha.
The queen would win either way—that’s why she was so delightful.
Leon, of course, saw through her little scheme. After hesitating for a moment, he finally said, "I give up."
Losing was fine—I absolutely refuse to kiss you in front of the girls!
It seemed like that we shared a love so deep into our bones or something!
“What~~ No way! Daddy actually gave up!” Muen pouted unhappily, flicking her tiny tail. She was upset that she hadn’t gotten the chance to see a spectacle.
Even Noa hadn’t expected the indomitable Leon to utter the words "I give up."
What, kissing Mom in front of us is harder for you than defeating six dragons in ten seconds?
But luckily, Noa had her backup plan.
“Well, since you gave up, Daddy, you’ll have to choose between Truth or Dare as your punishment,” Noa said.
Leon, always ready to accept the consequences, replied, “I’ll choose Truth.”
Roswitha sat quietly on the grass, resting her chin on one hand, watching Leon and their daughters.
She wasn’t particularly interested in Truth or Dare; she left everything up to the girls.
After all, with 2:30 AM in her arsenal, she could always tease a few secrets out of him whenever she wanted.
“I’ll ask, I’ll ask!” Muen eagerly raised her little hand. “Daddy, you and Mommy—”
“Hold it, second sister!”
Aurora swiftly clamped a hand over Muen’s mouth.
Muen’s big eyes darted around in confusion. “Mmmph?”
Aurora turned to Leon and asked, “Daddy, for someone like you who fears nothing, why would you willingly choose Truth, such a boring punishment? If I were you, I would have chosen Dare.”
Leon’s eyelid twitched slightly.
Come on, sweetheart, you’re barely over a year old, and you’ve already mastered your mom’s trick of using reverse psychology?
Or do you think your dad can’t understand the hidden implications in your words?
Hah... Daddy’s telling you today—your little schemes won’t work on me!
“Ah, Daddy was just thinking that choosing Truth would make the time of punishment quicker and easier, so we could move on to the next round faster. Dares tend to waste too much time,” Leon explained.
Aurora arched an eyebrow. “Really, Daddy? So that’s why.”
“Yup, exactly,” Leon affirmed.
“I thought it was because Daddy was too scared to pick Dare. Guess it was me, a mere child, failing to think things through like my farsighted father.”
Aurora lamented dramatically. “Ah, Big Sis, you misunderstood Dad either, didn’t you?”
Having caught on, Noa nodded in agreement. “Yeah, I thought he was too scared to do the dare. But turns out that he was just being forward-thinking. He was really—ugh, I would cry.”
Muen blinked. “What are you talking about? Why does everything sounds weird? ”
General Leon couldn’t stay still anymore. It was as if his chair suddenly grew spikes. “Hey, what are you all saying? When have I scared—”
“To be honest, I also think you’re scared of taking Dare,” Roswitha chimed in.
Leon shot her a sour glare.
Roswitha : ╮( •́ω•̀ )╭
“I’m... I’m not afraid! Who said that? Dare is just Dare, bring it on!”
The trap worked.
When Leon wasn’t looking, Roswitha secretly flashed a victory gesture at her daughters.
Noa and Aurora nodded ever so subtly.
It seemed that reverse psychology would always be the ultimate weapon against their dad.
“What’s the dare? Come on, tell me! Bring it!” Leon declared with the feeling of headed for a heroic sacrifice.
“Daddy, you don’t have to be so nervous. The dare is really simple~”
Noa said casually, “Just... kiss Mommy on the lips!”
It hit like a thunderbolt.
General Leon was completely dumbstruck.
Sweetheart, am I doomed to do this no matter how I tied?
If I refuse, I would kiss her.
If I accept the punishment, I would still have to kiss her.
Do you have some sort of strange obsession with Mom and Dad kissing?
The queen remained calm as always, though a faint blush slowly spread across her cheeks.
She didn’t mind showing a bit of affection toward Leon in front of the girls; after all, it helped maintain the familial harmony.
But that ridiculous man was always too embarrassed—even after living together for so long, he was still hesitant.
If it weren’t for the daughters’ reverse psychology and Dare, he would never summon the courage to do so.
“Is there... is there another option?” Leon attempted a futile resistance.
Aurora shook her head. “No way, Daddy. Are you really... scared?”
Before Leon could answer, Noa added slyly,
“The man I admire most doesn’t even have the courage to kiss his wife on the lips? Oh...”
“Of course I can!” Leon snapped. “Absolutely!”
For some reasons, Leon suddenly felt his daughters were entering a peculiar stage of rebellion.
Leon preferred calling it the "little dragon girl phase."
Especially after Aurora officially joined her elder sisters’ "Dragon Daughter Special Task Force", these three dragonesses were becoming more and more chaotic.
It seemed Leon would have to think twice about having a third child; what if they ended up with someone even more mischievous than Aurora? This house would be pure chaos.
“Come on, Dad!”
Muen clapped and cheered. “Kiss Mommy! Kiss Mommy!”
Leon blushed furiously and glanced awkwardly at Roswitha.
The queen, ever calm, remarked, “Your father gets embarrassed so easily. Even when it’s just the two of us, he’s shy about holding my hand.”
“Slander! That’s complete slander! I’m incredibly bold, okay?” Leon retorted hastily.
“Oh? And now, with the girls eagerly wanting to see you kiss me, you’re acting so hesitant—how is that slander?”
She smiled softly at him.
That smile seemed to say, “Yes, I’m slandering you. What are you going to do about it?”
Fine.
The three little dragon girls weren’t pulling this behavior out of thin air—there was also a big dragon queen instigating it.
“I’m not hesitating; I’m just worried that you might not like it.”
“What’s the thing not to like? If you want to kiss me, then just do it.”
With those words, Roswitha shut her eyes gently and leaned forward a tiny bit.
“Daddy, quicker! We’ve already covered Aurora’s eyes!”
Aurora: ?
Thanks to Second Sis, I’m missing out on the entertainment.
But Muen still opened her fingers slightly, allowing Aurora to sneak a peek at their parents’ first-ever public kiss—an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime moment.
Leon took a few deep breaths before resting his hands on Roswitha’s shoulders.
Looking at her stunningly delicate face, the general’s face flushed even deeper.
Damn it, I would kiss her—it’s not as if I haven’t done this before!
Leon leaned in slowly and kissed Roswitha on the lips.
Roswitha was cooperative, tilting her head slightly and brushing against his mouth and nose.
But with the kids present, their kiss didn’t escalate into anything too passionate. A simple but gentle peck was more than enough.
“Well. Are you all satisfied now?”
Muen nodded frantically. “Satisfied! Satisfied! Satisfied!”
She thought to herself, Soon we’ll have a new baby sister—completely satisfied!
Aurora glanced at her overly excited second sister, debating whether she should later explain to her that kissing doesn’t actually lead to babies or not.
After consideration, Aurora decided not to do so.
If she told Muen, Muen would definitely be disappointed.
But if she didn’t say anything, Muen would happily look forward to a new sister all the time;
What's more, Mom and Dad would also be happiy, for not having to hide their affection from the kids;
And Aurora herself would enjoy endless entertainment.
So, staying silent would add three times of happiness to the world—then, why not keep silent?
Hmm~~~ Truly, I, Aurora, am the God of entertainment for the Silver Dragon Clan!
