Muen sprawled on the bed, with her little tail dangling idly off the edge, swaying back and forth.
The tuft of hair on her head had wilted, drooping lifelessly atop her forehead.
"Second sister, stop playing dead. Mom and Dad are back," Aurora called out to her from the balcony.
Upon hearing this, Muen immediately perked up.
With a swift "fish jump" maneuver, she bounced off the bed and dashed to the balcony by her short legs.
However, when she leaned over the railing and saw her hand-in-hand and acting lovey-dovey parents downstairs, the expectancy in her eyes vanished instantly.
"Ah~ Obviously, they don’t have time to play with Muen. Hum... Do Mom and Dad not love Muen anymore?" Muen pouted.
Noa walked over to her sister and patted her head, "Don’t say things like that. Mom and Dad haven’t seen each other in a while. Let them have some time alone."
"Ugh..."
Muen’s drooping tuft twitched slightly, then suddenly straightened as if she had a realization, "Oh, sister! Remember when we were at the beach and made a kissing campaign to get Mom and Dad to kiss?"
On hearing that, Noa thought for a moment.
Yes, during their beach trip, the two sisters had speculated that kissing would make their mom pregnant, so they orchestrated a dramatic scene where their dad had to perform artificial resuscitation on their mom.
Although they had ended up getting spanked by their dad afterwards, the whole process had been quite entertaining.
"I remember. Why do you ask so?"
"But it’s been ages, and Mom’s belly is still flat," Muen said. "There’s no sign of pregnancy at all."
She recalled how Mom’s belly had gradually rounded when she was pregnant with Aurora.
"So... Don’t tell me that you’re still hoping for another little sister." Noa asked.
Muen nodded enthusiastically, "Uh-huh!"
Aurora, sandwiched between her two sisters, looked up at Noa, then at Muen, before asking seriously,
"Second sister, are you telling me you’ve already lost interest in me, even though I’m just over a year old?"
Muen pulled her younger sister into a hug. "That’s impossible, Aurora~ Sister loves you the most!"
"Then why do you want another sister?"
"Uh... the more, the better!"
Muen nuzzled Aurora’s soft, chubby cheeks, as if cuddling a lovely kitty.
Aurora allowed her second sister to snuggle with her and then looked at Noa, "So, eldest sister, are you two going to carry out another kissing campaign?"
Noa rubbed her chin, analyzing seriously, "Hmm... Dad has been lethargic lately and hasn’t taught me any new magic. If I’m just idle anyway... I suppose we could relaunch that campaign."
Aurora blinked her eyes, "So, you two believe that as long as Mom and Dad kiss, Mom can give us a new little sister or brother, right?"
"Uh-huh! Aurora, you’re so smart!" Muen said.
Aurora curled the corners of her lips but didn’t respond.
Who told these two sisters that kissing equals pregnancy, anyway?
Creating a life is clearly a much more complex process!
Don’t let my age fool you—I know a bit about everything.
Although she didn’t know the exact details of the "more complex process," she was certain that it wasn’t as simple as a kiss.
However...
Aurora glanced at her two sisters, her expression mischievous.
Noa looked like she was thinking, "I’m bored anyway, so let’s just play along with my sisters to kill some time";
Muen, on the other hand, was brimming with excitement: "Yay! I’m about to get a new little sister!"
The pair seemed entirely oblivious to the fact that even if their kissing campaign succeeded, their mom wouldn’t be pregnant.
In that case...
Aurora’s lips curled into a sly smile.
In that case, I’ll just pretend I know nothing at all!
Getting Mom and Dad to kiss sounds way more entertaining than giving my two sisters a biology lesson!
"Aurora, why are you grinning?" Muen suddenly asked.
"Huh? Ah... I just remembered something happy," Aurora replied.
"What are you happy about?"
"Um... that I’m about to have a new little sister!"
Muen hugged Aurora again, rubbing her face against her cheeks. "See? Aurora wants a new sister too, right?"
"That’s right, second sister."
Aurora eagerly chimed in, "So, when shall we start? Do we have a concrete plan?"
Back during the beach trip, Aurora had been too young to participate in the kissing campaign led by her elder sisters.
But now, with her innate sense of mischief fully awakened, Aurora couldn’t wait for the scheme to take shape!
"Uh... I don’t actually have a plan," Muen admitted, her head hanging low and her tone sounding a bit disappointed.
But Noa, standing nearby, casually interjected, "Oh, I might have a plan. But it’ll need both of your cooperation."
"Really, sister? Amazing!" Muen instantly brightened.
Aurora suppressed the urge to grin, "Absolutely delighted to help, eldest sister."
...
After dinner, Muen dragged Leon to the back garden of the sanctuary.
Once there, Leon found that Roswitha had also been pulled over by Noa.
Originally, the couple intended to focus on their own matters respectively after dinner.
Roswitha had wanted to check in with Anna and the others about the progress of gathering their clan members;
Leon had planned to brew some concoctions to accelerate the healing of Roswitha’s wounds.
But before the two could start, their daughters had pulled them aside.
The girls said that they wanted to play some "family games"?
The couple exchanged glances and nodded in mutual understanding.
Their daughters rarely showed such enthusiasm, and their individual tasks weren’t particularly urgent, so it was fine to put them off for now.
The family of five sat cross-legged on the grass. Noa pulled out a box of chocolate sticks from her pocket.
She took one out and began explaining the rules of the game:
"The rules are simple: each person holds one end of the chocolate stick with their mouth, like this."
She demonstrated by biting onto one end of the chocolate stick, then turned to Muen, speaking clearly despite holding the chocolate stick in her mouth,
"Then, you hand it off to the person to your left, who will bite the other end."
"Like this, the chocolate stick will break in the middle, and then Muen will pass it to the next person on her left. It continues in this manner."
"Until someone fails to break the chocolate stick, that person loses."
"As for the penalty for losing... they can choose either truth or dare."
"Is everyone okay with these rules, Mom and Dad?"
The couple nodded, showing no objections.
"Alright, then let’s begin."
Noa grabbed another chocolate stick and held one end in her mouth, handing the other end to Muen.
Muen bit onto the opposite end, broke the stick in the middle, and turned to pass it to Aurora.
Aurora was wise.
If the chocolate stick kept breaking in the middle each time, the length would become uncontrollable by the time it reached their parents.
To make sure the chocolate stick was short enough to force their parents to kiss, Aurora’s brain worked quickly, and she opened her mouth, biting off a small segment of the stick.
Leon and Roswitha, naturally, didn’t fuss over the game rules with the youngest child.
After all, it was just a family game. Being overly strict about the rules would ruin the fun.
So Aurora held the carefully trimmed chocolate stick in her mouth and leaned towards Roswitha.
"Mom, your turn." The chocolate stick wiggled as Aurora spoke.
Roswitha immediately recognized Aurora’s ploy—though only within the confines of the game’s rules, without realizing the larger "kissing campaign" behind it.
She assumed Aurora was intentionally shortening the stick to make her and Leon the likely "losers."
Clever little one.
With a smile, Roswitha leaned forward.
Her warm breath lightly brushed against Aurora’s cheek. It smelled sweet and fragrant.
As Roswitha approached, Aurora slightly tilted her body forward as well.
However, instead of taking the chocolate stick, Roswitha planted a gentle kiss on Aurora’s cheek and teasingly said,
"You little bad guy."
Aurora’s cheeks turned red, and her tail perked slightly, "Quick, quick, take the stick, Mom!"
Oh, Roswitha. You’re not just a master of flirting with your husband; you’ve got skills when it comes to your daughters too.
Leon watched the scene unfold silently. His thoughts were full of sarcasm. Maybe I should take your throne, govern the Silver Dragon Clan, and let you focus on child-rearing.
Smirking, Roswitha finally took the chocolate stick from Aurora’s mouth and turned to pass it to Leon.
Leon lowered his gaze to examine the chocolate stick, which now extended only a tiny bit.
Taking the stick at this length was possible, but it would inevitably lead to kiss Roswitha...
The general hesitated.
Meanwhile, Muen clenched her little fists in excitement. Her eyes glued to the scene.
"Do it! Do it! Do it! Welcome baby number four!"
Roswitha deliberately cast Leon a provocative glance.
She thoroughly enjoyed every contest with him.
If it meant besting the strongest Dragon Slayer, she would happily break not just a chocolate stick but even a steel beam!
After all, the queen had a firm mouth!
