"The Second World" Open Beta Update Log Version 1.0 (Pre-release!)

The map remains the same as in the closed beta.

1.0 Open Beta Additions:

1. All players in the Open Beta start as humans and can change their race through race cards obtained in the game or through race-specific quests.

Special Note: When changing race, the attributes and skills related to human form will not be inherited unless specified otherwise.

Race cards are divided into four types:

1. Basic Random: Randomly select a race from the races unlocked gradually through the game's storyline.

2. Basic Specific: Select a race from the races unlocked gradually through the game's storyline.

3. Advanced Random: Ignore the game's storyline and randomly select a race from all available races.

4. Advanced Specific: Ignore the game's storyline and select a race from all available races.

Basic race cards can be obtained by completing a series of special tasks or defeating monsters.

The method of obtaining advanced race cards is unknown.

2. The official exchange rate between real currency and in-game currency is 1:1.1, with the currency of Z country as the main currency. Other countries' currencies are converted to Z country's currency based on the international exchange rate and then converted to in-game currency for recharging.

3. The revival mechanism has changed from the form of the previous closed beta version to a death penalty, where creatures drop experience points upon death. Any previous actions of players, such as being wanted or hunted, will not be cleared.

4. Players' initial starting locations are randomized throughout the main world. They can spend money to make a wish in human towns (starting at 10 yuan and capped at 1000 yuan).

Special Note: Sometimes danger comes with opportunities. Since it's a wish, there can be success or failure. No refunds will be given if unsatisfied.

5. Faction Wars: Wars involving conflicts between races or factions. Players can join one side or try to benefit from both sides (like a double agent) and receive rewards.

Race wars can unlock new races for players to choose, provided they use race cards or obtain the reputation of that race through a series of tasks.

Additional Content: Special Race Card - Undead

The Undead race card is a special race card that allows the holder to become the Death Lord, who ruled the undead a thousand years ago.

As for the conditions to draw the card, it involves spoilers.

Are there any other special race cards?

Yes, for example, the Insect race card. The conditions to draw it are limited to females, but disclosing more would involve spoilers.

Speaking of the Undead,

Within the Undead race, there are sub-branches such as Skeletons, Zombies, Death Knights, Soul Collectors, and Spectres. Players can draw one of them.

However, their racial characteristics make them loyal only to the one and only existence, the Death Lord. Once the Death Lord appears, they will dedicate their souls to serve him forever, with players being no exception.

After the disappearance of the Death Lord, other races attempted to control these undead creatures, but many failed. At most, they could control weaker creatures like Skeletons, Zombies, and Spectres, but they could never control stronger ones like Death Knights or Soul Collectors.
