Bexia remembered giving Lucifer only two Divinities: the Divinities of Darkness and Sky. The Sky Divinity was originally meant only to help her comprehend its power, so she could quickly grow stronger.
But Bexia had never expected her to find a third Divinity—and one that was the opposite of her own Dark Divinity, no less: the Divinity of Light. And Lucifer had actually dared to try to fuse the powers of all three Divinities into one, as if she wanted to break through to Overlord Godhood in a single leap.
But to Bexia, that was practically suicide!
Each Divinity was independent, and each held a different kind of power. Fusing them together was out of the question. Lucifer’s power was now in chaos inside her body, while her soul was trapped within it, unable to escape. It was an extremely dangerous situation.
The three forces were evenly matched, each holding the others in a strange balance. But even the slightest mistake could make Lucifer swell up and burst—exploding right on the spot!
After a moment’s thought, Bexia took out the Overlord Divine Artifact he’d obtained earlier, the Cup of Fusion, and summoned his Fusion Phantom God as well. This was the only help he could offer Lucifer. After all, fusing different laws was something only those breaking through to Overlord Godhood would ever face.
To interfere in something on the level of an Overlord God, he’d need to be on that same level himself. That made the Cup of Fusion his only option.
The Fusion Phantom God looked like a mass of multicolored light. He reached out and lifted the Cup of Fusion, then closed his eyes and began communicating with the power of the Abyss. But with space and time in chaos, he could only reach half as much Abyssal power here as he could outside.
Power gathered in Bexia’s hand, drawn from the Abyss and condensed there. It carried an intense aura of destruction. He kept gathering it for a long time, draining the power from the Destruction Phantom God as well. Only then did he give a small, satisfied nod—and squeeze the Cup of Fusion in his hand as hard as he could.
“Crack—!”
There had already been a nearly imperceptible hairline crack in the bottom of the cup. Under Bexia’s power, it quickly widened. His Fusion Phantom God seized the power leaking from it and sent it into Lucifer’s body.
This was the power of Fusion Authority, which could help merge the three forces inside Lucifer. In a sense, Bexia was using Authority to create Authority—but the cost was steep.
After all, the Cup of Fusion was a peak Overlord Divine Artifact. Even if Lucifer achieved Overlord Godhood, she’d only be at its earliest stage! And success wasn’t guaranteed. If it failed, not only would the Cup of Fusion be destroyed, but Lucifer’s situation would become extremely dangerous.
Anyone in their right mind would see this as a terrible bargain. But Bexia didn’t care. To him, Lucifer was worth far more than a Cup of Fusion!
The power of Fusion Authority entered Lucifer’s body. Under the control of Bexia’s Fusion Phantom God, it began to balance the three forces within her.
“Boom—!” A thunderous sound rang out from inside Lucifer. Three different lights flickered around her. Seeing this, Bexia immediately poured in more of his power to stabilize her.
But as time passed, Bexia began to feel immense pressure. The energy inside Lucifer far exceeded his expectations—or perhaps his own power simply wasn’t enough. He couldn’t control the fusion of so much power all at once. The three forces had been roused in great numbers, and something Bexia hadn’t anticipated was happening.
Lucifer’s body had become a vast battlefield of energy. The different forces rampaged like wild horses, surging out of control. If they weren’t restrained, the consequences would be unimaginable.
“I need to stabilize these forces first…” Bexia furrowed his brow. After thinking for a moment, he suddenly noticed that the dark power inside Lucifer had been brought under control. He sensed it more closely and realized the Dark Abyss Throne had stabilized the power from the Dark Divinity.
Two beams of light immediately flew from Bexia’s body and entered Lucifer. One was the Wing of Azure Sky, representing the sky; the other was the Luminous Crown, representing light. If the Dark Abyss Throne could stabilize the power of the Dark Divinity, then these two artifacts should be able to stabilize the power of the other two Divinities as well.
“Boom—!” Four pairs of black wings unfurled behind Lucifer, a sign that she had surpassed the status of a Great Angel. Above her head, a white-gold crown floated, radiating a sacred and noble light.
Bexia had been right. As the artifacts began to work, the three forces inside Lucifer slowly calmed. As the power of Authority was continuously drawn from the Cup of Fusion, the three forces—some opposed to one another, others with nothing in common—began to make the faintest contact.
But things weren’t that simple. Although the three forces had begun to coexist peacefully, there was no sign of them fusing. Even when Bexia used the power of Fusion to stir them together, nothing had changed at their core. They remained sharply divided.
Bexia wasn’t in a hurry. There was no point rushing something like this; fusion would take a great deal of time and patient effort. He sat down cross-legged and let the Fusion Phantom God control the Cup of Fusion’s output on its own, while he began to recover the power he’d lost.
