Bexia didn’t even know why he’d inexplicably brought Talisha along. Add in the fact that he’d promised Eileen he’d take her back, and this time, Bexia’s departure from the Oloses Divine Realm had turned into a group of three—plus a completely useless lion!
Bexia could travel through the universe on his own, but the other two couldn’t. He had to look after them, so he couldn’t get his speed up at all.
After leaving the Oloses Divine Realm, Bexia had no idea how long he’d drifted through the universe. After all, his speed was only somewhat greater than that of an Immortal God. Short-distance spatial travel was fine, but over long periods, it was nothing special.
This also made Bexia miss Conesy terribly. Her speed when traveling through the universe was on a completely different level from his.
“Where are we even going?!” Talisha had an energetic personality. She might have found everything wonderfully novel when they’d first entered the universe, but as time passed and that novelty wore off, the sheer tedium of the universe made her start complaining.
“Why don’t you focus on cultivating? If I weren’t carrying you along, I might’ve found a world by now!” Bexia pressed down on her head, forcing her dissatisfied expression back down. Not long ago, he’d tossed her the Earth Divinity he’d recovered, but her progress had been pretty average.
Some more days passed before Bexia finally spotted a world radiating dazzling light. It didn’t seem particularly powerful, but there were plenty of large cargo warships coming and going. It appeared to be a world used for transit and resupply.
“It’s huge!!” Talisha exclaimed as she stared at the enormous world and the countless densely packed space warships traveling back and forth. If not for Bexia, she might have spent her entire life in that sealed-off space within the Oloses Divine Realm, never learning about the vast mysteries of the universe!
Even Eileen, who had always maintained a calm demeanor, wore an astonished expression. Seeing this, Bexia smiled without saying anything. In truth, when he’d first seen these things, hadn’t he been just like them?
“Let’s go! I’ll show you what other worlds are like!” Bexia smiled faintly, pushed his speed to the limit, and transformed into a streak of light that shot straight toward the world. However, a force stopped him. He could’ve broken through it with ease, but he came to a halt instead.
“My lord, may I ask what brings you here?” A world guard dressed in a special uniform appeared before Bexia, his manner respectful. After all, anyone who could travel through the universe and fly around without restraint was an Immortal God!
“Just passing through. We’re taking a short rest,” Bexia said calmly.
“Please, my lord!” The guard had only been making a routine inquiry before letting him pass. Someone of Immortal God level was far beyond the sort of person a lowly soldier like him could afford to provoke. Besides, although plenty of people came and went through this world, Immortal Gods were still rarely seen. Unless something special happened, it was difficult to encounter an existence like that here.
“This is Report 135. An Immortal God has entered the world. All units, take note!” The guard took out a communications device and made the announcement before returning to his post.
For Talisha and Eileen, entering a new world was an entirely different kind of experience. They were like two country bumpkins visiting a zoo for the first time, finding everything strange and fascinating. The technological products in particular, along with the various demi-human and non-human races, hit them with an enormous shock.
“I saw a shop over there selling virtual network connection devices. I’ll take you to have a look!” Bexia said eagerly, unable to wait any longer.
“Okay! Okay!” Talisha’s eyes lit up as she nodded enthusiastically.
“I don’t mind.” Eileen rarely said two words at once, but that alone was enough to prove from another angle that she was interested too!
“Welcome!” the fairy attendant said.
“Show them around, then prepare a virtual world connection device for me.”
“Of course! Ladies, this way, please!”
“Take your time looking around. Buy whatever you want.” Bexia watched the two hesitate as he spoke. Only then did they follow the attendant, while Bexia followed the fairy attendant to another area.
“These are all virtual world connection devices. Is there a particular model you’re interested in, sir?”
“Do you accept Dimension Coins here?” Bexia asked.
“Of course. Dimension Coins are accepted everywhere!” The fairy attendant nodded with a professional smile.
“Good.” Bexia immediately reached out, picked up a bracelet that looked pleasing to him, put it on, and bound it directly to himself.
That wasn’t exactly proper behavior. After all, the device could only be used once. Once it was bound, no one else could use it. Normally, customers paid first and received the goods afterward.
Although Bexia’s action looked rude, he was actually helpless. After that journey through time, he had nothing on him except the Grail of Power. He could use other methods to obtain what he wanted, but that wasn’t what he wanted to do. So he could only bind the device to his account first and pay afterward.
“Click—!” Bexia lightly pressed the bracelet, connecting to the virtual network world. The first thing he did was check his current location. To his surprise, he was actually in the Central Universe Region.
What surprised him even more was the time. From the moment he’d been swept away by the power of time until now, there had been a full ten-year gap. In other words, that final surge had sent him ten years into the future through the River of Time and Space.
