At the top of the spire, two figures sat at a small table. One was leisurely sipping tea while the other, seizing the moment when the tea cup was put down, asked, "Who would've thought that you, sir, hail from beyond the heavens?"
"Are you surprised?" Bexia set down the tea cup and asked Lanoras.
"Very surprised! How did you manage to break through the seal of the Cup of Authority to enter this world?" Lanoras frowned, fully aware of the power of the Cup of Authority, which explained his astonishment.
"Since you are aware of the outside world, you must also know that the cup you mentioned is nothing special," Bexia said nonchalantly. "There are countless beings outside capable of breaking such seals. Do you really think no one can come in?"
Lanoras fell silent for a moment. After a while, he spoke again, "Then, how do you view the Cup of Authority?"
"It's just like that! I only wish to leave this world. If you want what your teacher left behind, you can have it!" Bexia shrugged, indifferent.
"But how many deaths will such actions cause?" Lanoras questioned.
"Can you reverse it then? I have already partially unsealed it, and if you don't want it, I'm sure others will. Additionally, what difference does it make how many die? This world has already been almost completely corrupted by the gods, hasn't it? If we don't change everything, won't it end up the same in the end?"
At that moment, the barrier of the Sage Tower suffered a massive impact as a colossal earth giant outside relentlessly pounded against it.
"You also don't seem like someone who cares much about how many die," Bexia walked towards the tower's exit without looking back, "I'll help you deal with these troubles, and the rest is up to you!"
Before flying out of the tower, Bexia tossed the two collected artifacts in front of Lanoras. He could tell that Lanoras wasn't the kind of person to hesitate about others' lives. Despite his appearance of kindness, he was ambitious and would handle everything well.
Outside the Sage Tower, the protective barrier was on the verge of collapse with cracks all over. Eileen, trembling in a corner, was carried by the black dragon, fearing the attacking god outside was no other than one of the main gods - the God of Earth.
"Sir..." The black dragon crawled over as Bexia appeared. It was a genuine crawl, considering the strong aura of the God of Earth.
"You stay here," Bexia ignored the black dragon and disappeared in place, appearing in front of the colossal earth giant, precisely where its fist was about to strike.
*Bang!* The giant's fist collided with Bexia's body, causing its arm to fracture inch by inch, with the backlash forces destroying most of its body.
"Who are you?" The God of Earth, standing atop the giant's head, frowned slightly at Bexia's sudden appearance. Clad in golden armor and hair glistening with the same golden hue, he seemed more like a hero confronting a demon king from a novel.
"Who do you think I am?" Bexia met the God of Earth's gaze, giving him a sense of complete transparency.
"Seize him!" The God of Earth waved, and dozens of accompanying gods all launched attacks. Instantly, the surrounding space was filled with various potent energies, exuding a formidable and intimidating aura.
These gods possessed Saint-tier or higher powers, varying in strength from newly minted Saints to those at the peak of their power. Regardless, the energies they conjured were overwhelming, creating a breathtaking and fearsome spectacle when combined.
Bexia, faced with the onslaught, furrowed his brow deeper. Despite the surging attacks around him, his gaze remained fixed on the God of Earth, completely disregarding the turbulent assaults.
*Boom!* Countless attacks landed around Bexia, producing a storm of explosive energy that swept across tens of thousands of meters of land, resembling a massive sandstorm billowing over the already desolate terrain.
*Crack!*
*Bang!* The already crumbling barrier broke further in the wake of these attacks, with the shockwave careening towards the dilapidated Sage Tower. However, the Tower managed to deploy a dozen large crystal pillars, creating a new barrier to shield itself.
As the primary target of the assault, chaos reigned where Bexia stood. Yet, a force soon pacified the unruly energies. A black vortex slowly spun, erasing the violent energies until complete calm was restored. Bexia remained motionless in mid-air, barely ruffled, except for his half-length hair gently swaying in the breeze — no discernible difference from moments earlier.
