“Buzz—!”
After the gem was placed on the slab, a faint light radiated from it, and the gem itself petrified, becoming an inseparable part of it. Following that, Bexia felt the weakening of the enveloping barrier once again.
"Hmm?!" However, his gaze turned towards the distant sky, and several figures descended rapidly from the heavens, landing beside Bexia.
Four figures: one towering at three to four meters tall, muscular and imposing, with golden skin and wielding a giant hammer.
One dressed in a blue robe, surrounded by floating ice crystals.
One holding a longbow engulfed in black flames.
One enveloped in white lightning, with something like a cloud of mist behind them.
These were all divine beings of this world, not particularly powerful but flashy in appearance!
"Mortal, we come by the command of the Sun God King, kneel and greet us!" The towering divine being roared, his voice like thunder, enough to intimidate the weak-hearted.
"You gods really can’t understand why you always feel so high and mighty, can you?" Bexia frowned as he looked at the four descending deities, who, in terms of this world's hierarchy, were just lower-ranking gods. Nonetheless, their arrogant and conceited behavior was comparable to some major deities he had encountered.
"In my eyes, it's ridiculous, like clowns amusing themselves!"
"You seek death!" The towering god roared, swinging his war hammer towards Bexia’s head with the intent to crush it into pulp.
However, the seemingly powerful blow was effortlessly blocked by Bexia with just one finger, as he deftly peeled the hammer off with his index finger and addressed the struggling deity, "I find that the weaker one's strength, the more prone they are to arrogance. Often, the more powerful beings are humble. Do you know why that is?"
"Damn!" The towering deity had no desire to listen to Bexia and increased the force in his hand by stomping on the ground.
"Earth's Might!"
Yet even with increased strength, he could not overcome Bexia's single finger!
"Bang—!" Bexia effortlessly flicked the towering deity away with an imposing force, calmly stating, "I do not like killing."
"Attack together!" The towering deity persisted, rallying his three companions to launch a joint assault.
"Extreme Ice Frost!"
"Corrosive Arrows!"
"Lightning Thunder Rumbling!"
"Earthquake!"
The four powerful attacks descended menacingly towards Bexia, who furrowed his brow, wondering if these deities were truly daft. Could they not see the disparity between them after the previous encounter? Did they need to sacrifice themselves to understand?
"I have said I do not like killing, but if you seek death, blame no one but yourselves," Bexia remained motionless as he allowed the attacks to fall upon him, without a single ripple emanating from his body.
"How is this possible?!" x4
The four lesser deities wore expressions of utter disbelief, and one even realized that something was amiss. However, it was too late. With a casual wave of his sleeve, Bexia unleashed a terrifying force that swept through like a raging storm, turning the quartet of deities into bloody mist, erasing everything in the vicinity. In an instant, a barren plain emerged in the midst of the Great Tree Forest!
"Gurgle—!" The black dragon swallowed nervously, having already underestimated Bexia's power. Witnessing his display now was a mind-boggling experience, as his strength was beyond imagination—merely a wave of his hand could cause such devastating destruction!
"We still have the Tower of Sages, the Goblin tribe, and the Skywing tribe to go. Do you know where they are?" Bexia recalled the information he knew, then leaped onto the back of the black dragon, asking, "Do you know where the Goblin tribe and Skywing tribe are?"
"I know! I know!" The black dragon nodded frantically. Any prior notions it had were shattered by Bexia's display of power, now simply focused on surviving.
"The Goblins are in the north of the Olosis Divine Domain, half a month's journey from here. The Skywing tribe has long been exterminated, with only the ruins of the Sky City remaining, currently occupied by the Sun God's followers!"
"Is that so?!" Bexia furrowed his brow, especially upon learning of the latter's extinction.
"Do you think the remnants of the Skywing tribe are still in the Sky City?" Bexia inquired.
"Perhaps! And there's a high probability they are in the hands of the Sun God's followers!" The black dragon responded.
"Very well, let's head to the Sky City first."
"Understood, my lord!" The black dragon immediately flew towards the direction of the Sky City.
"You, come here!" Bexia called out to Eileen, who stood at a distance.
"What do you want?" After some hesitation, Eileen walked over to Bexia.
"What's the matter? Weren't you the daring elf queen who dared to kiss me before, but now can't even come close to me?" Bexia teased playfully.
"You...!" Recalling the incident, Eileen blushed, while the black dragon perked up its ears, eager to learn the big guy's secrets!
"That incident was just an accident!" Eileen hurriedly explained.
"Was it? I thought you had feelings for me," Bexia teased further.
"You have a thick skin!"
After a brief exchange, the strained relationship between Bexia and Eileen seemed a bit more relaxed. Bexia adjusted his tone and said, "Since you have obtained the recognition of the Life Divinity, it's all down to your luck. However, your strength is still too weak..."
