"Boom!" The footsteps halted, and a massive dark shadow revealed its true face.
Standing over ten meters tall, its body covered in black muscles resembling steel, with a huge unicorn horn on its head measuring the length of two people, giving it a somewhat rhinoceros-like appearance when standing upright.
"So, it's a Rhinodemon! What, expecting fearless demons to show up?" Lian recognized the opponent's race at a glance and scoffed.
"I see you're looking for trouble!" The Rhinodemon roared and reached out its black hand towards Lian.
"Swoosh!" Lian's figure flashed and appeared above the Rhinodemon's arm. She lifted her leg, preparing to make the Rhinodemon pay for provoking a deity, but...
"Ugh!" Suddenly, Lian felt a tremor. Her lifted leg froze momentarily, and the Rhinodemon seized the opportunity to fling her away.
"Hey! Are you okay?" Quick-eyed Bexia caught Lian flying backwards, tilting her head to ask.
"I... *cough*!" Just as Lian was about to speak, she coughed violently, even sporting bloody streaks at the corner of her mouth.
"Let go of me! I'm fine!"
"Don't move around. Don't you know your own condition?" Bexia turned and handed her over to Lucifer, saying, "Watch over her. I'll go deal with this demon!"
"Yes, master!" Lucifer took Lian, using his power to stabilize her injuries.
"Are you planning to avenge that woman? She started coughing up blood without me even touching her - too feeble to withstand a breeze!" The Rhinodemon mocked.
"Save your breath!" Bexia extended his right hand, conjuring a warblade made of gray ice.
"Do you want to fight me? Humans like you seem frail, one punch from me and you might turn into a puddle of flesh!" The Rhinodemon grinned menacingly.
"I see you splurged quite a bit at the market just now. As long as you leave behind any valuables, I can let you walk away safely. Otherwise... hehe!"
"What are you? If you want something, come and take it yourself!" Bexia retorted, taking a step forward and thrusting his spear towards the Rhinodemon.
"Hmph!" The Rhinodemon snorted and struck out with its fist towards Bexia, "Overestimating yourself!"
"Bang!" A wave of force surged as their attacks clashed. To Bexia's surprise, his assault couldn't even break the Rhinodemon's skin.
"Thick skin!" Bexia remarked coldly.
"Since you seek death now, blame it on yourself. I originally didn't want to take your lives!" The Rhinodemon's face twisted evilly as its dark aura intensified.
"Boom boom boom!" Combining strength with speed, the Rhinodemon's fists attacked Bexia with a torrential storm of force, causing the ground to crack inch by inch.
"Stay frosty!" Bexia evaded the attacks, seizing the right moment to throw the warblade at the Rhinodemon, which, upon hitting the ground at its feet, immediately turned into spreading frost.
"Crackle crackle!" The frost spread, climbing up the Rhinodemon's body.
"Break!" The Rhinodemon roared, shattering the gray ice crystals on his body with brute strength. To his surprise, the crystals kept growing by devouring his power.
"Ancient Black Armor!" The Rhinodemon's whole body trembled, shattering all the ice crystals. The once pitch-black exterior now displayed crimson patterns, circulating with a peculiar power.
"The primordial beast Chiyou is incredibly strong in defense!" Lian cautioned, "And be careful of the horn on its head!"
"I got it!" Bexia responded, with a spear of ice and a spear of fire appearing in both hands, both thrown towards Chiyou.
"Hmph! Meager skills!" Chiyou's fist descended, completely unfazed by Bexia's ice and fire spears. After the clash of the huge fist with the two spears, the intricate light patterns on Chiyou's eerie black armor shimmered. Surprisingly, Bexia's spears extinguished on their own, failing to achieve the intended effect.
"Boom!" A fist plunged into the ground as Bexia used spatial power to teleport a short distance.
"Trample-trample-trample!" Utilizing Chiyou's massive arm like a pillar, Bexia faced head-on, several ice and fire spears shooting towards Chiyou's face like arrows.
"Swallowing Elephant Technique!" Chiyou remained unfazed, opening its mouth wide, unleashing a suction force that swallowed all the ice and fire spears, even the erupting power surging towards Bexia.
"Metorite Destruction!" Sensing the power on her, Bexia unreservedly threw out an energy ball, fiercely detonating the energy just as it was about to enter Chiyou's mouth.
"Waaahhh!" Chiyou coughed up blood from the explosion, but to Bexia's surprise, its teeth were incredibly sturdy, losing only a few tooth fragments from the blast.
"You damn thing, daring to harm me!" Chiyou's eyes flashed with malice as a dark glow emanated from the horn on its head.
"Breaking Technique!"
"Divine Great Barrier!" Feeling the terrifying attack from Chiyou, Bexia immediately activated the barrier. Yet, to his astonishment, when the dark light made contact with the Divine Great Barrier, it effortlessly pierced through it with a "whoosh!"
"What a weird ability!" Despite feeling that his Divine Great Barrier remained intact, Bexia was puzzled as Chiyou's Breaking Technique easily bypassed the defensive barrier, displaying a truly peculiar power.
